My question is- why are shaved heads banned? That's kind of dumb. It's like that girl who got in trouble and suspended from her team when she offered to drive her drunk friend home from a party. She never drank, and she was trying to be responsible, but the school punished her for being at the party, even if it was only to pick up her friend and take her home.
Because Schools don't want to acknowledge the realities of people's lives and are authoritative by nature so when someone does something they don't agree with they have to act in a way that shows they are in control.
Skinheads (who shaved their kids heads as well) used to be a problem and they're still around. However this is crazy. My old high school actually used to have a day where you can come get your head shaved in support of cancer.
People appear to be ignorant of the fact, minus a person above "bbyskittles91" that shaved heads are typically used as a sign for criminal and prejudicial activity, or were at least at one point, and not solely to support people or to be used as a fashion statement.

The girl with cancer in this video, Delaney, was recently put on hospice care as her treatments have stopped working. Please pray for her and her family♥️.
Awwww...that poor little girl. I'm so sorry this is happening to her. I hope the idiots who suspended her friend will be tortured by guilt for the rest of their lives. And LoB, there is more to the Internet than just CZcams, so perhaps the o.p. learned about it online (shocking, I know!) or may know the family or live in the same area. Don't be such a jerk.
Wow, I can't believe they would ever want to punish such a sweet child doing something so empathetic toward her friend. I'm glad the school apologized.
I hate that only after the world tells someone they're wrong that they apologize and admit they were wrong. They knew it was wrong before they did it and they did it anyway. You don't have to apologize if you do what is right the first time.
Theresa Cook They make those rules because there was a racist group called Skin Heads that shaved their heads to show who was in the group. Then they beat up and burned the house of anyone who wasn't white and Christian. A school can't stop someone from joining a racist club in their private time but they can stop people from showing membership in a bad group with hair and dress codes.
I think that child did one of the most unselfish acts of kindness. Best friends help you not feel alone in your struggles and that young girl did just that. God bless that little angel and her parents for raising such an angel. 😊
I can relate. In our school you should always follow "the proper haircut." Those who fail to do so gets suspended and sent home for the rest of the day in order for them to get their hair fixed. I just dont see the main point of this rule tbh. I missed a lot of classes cuz of this rule just because my fucking hair happened to grow long enough to reach my eyebrows :/
@Shirley Jackson simply improbable. The chances of her not growing her hair back is just almost 0. She just shaved it off, I've been bald before when I was around her age and it grew back. Not disagreeing with the whole thing about this school being ridiculous, it is extremely ridiculous.
Now I hope that idiot who loves expulsions loves every agonizing second of their precious adult lives, living with the guilt knowing they did a dying child and her truest BFF wrong in the most dire time of need! (I know this sounds mean spirited, and I'm not a hate-spouting troll, but so help me I hope they don't kill themselves or die soon, because some things are just a whole lot worse than death.)

This reminds me of when my little girl (4 yo at the time) came to myself and her mother to ask if she could give away her hair to the "sick kids". When we asked her to explain why she said she saw on the TV that some sick kids don't have hair anymore and that "they" were asking for people to donate hair for wigs to be made for them. As you can guess we were touched and immensely proud of her choice... so we made it happen for her. She was a tall girl for her age and her hair grew thick and fast so we knew it was only going to be temporary... but we saw it as our duty as parents. She proudly wore a concave bob for a whole year and beamed when she was notified that her hair was being worn by a "sick kid". It was truly one of the greatest times for being a parent.
WTF???? I bet if it was a boy that had a shaved head he would be allowed in school. I mean seriously..that's an actual way some people choose to present themselves, obviously mostly boys. The fact that they told this precious girl supporting her friend to "not come back until she had some hair" is like slapping not only her face but the face of her friend so valiantly fighting a disease that would make the entire school board FALL to their KNEES!!
Taylor Anstrom No they clearly said it is against the dress code it would have been the same if it was a boy this had absolutely nothing to do with gender equality .
This is my thought, I have always HATED dress code Like I dyed some of my hair red and the teacher was like 'Wash it out...NOW' But seriously? This is the most AMAZING thing ever #TrueFriendish
Basically the only pants we can wear is jeans. No sweats (That has always been the rule and I've never really had a problem with it) but then came the no tight pants, yoga pants, or leggings 7 weeks into school. Even though at the beginning of the year, they said that you could wear tight pants and yoga pants IF you wore something long enough to cover it when you bend down (ridiculous that it has to be THAT long) but at least you can WEAR them. So we bought maybe 7 or 8 long shirts and then they said that there has never been a rule about covering them and you were never able to wear them but uuh. Yeah that really annoyed me. Anyway, I'm sure our school wouldn't mind considering that there has been one person at our school that has died of cancer, the principal's WIFE had cancer multiple times, our elementary principal had cancer (it's thankfully gone now) and there is a kindergartener with cancer, so I would HOPE if this happened it wouldn't be a bad thing at our school...
sana wn Don't get me started, it's just B.S... in a big high school there might be 2 or 3 teachers that actually "teach" the rest just want there paycheck. There also two face as seen in the video, "shaved heads are not aloud" then as soon as they get the public and the parents knocking on their front door, "ho we meant to say compaction and selfless acts of courage are to be commended and encouraged"
Dorsey Ingram Lol Dorsey none of your teachers taught you the difference between "there" "their" and "they're" the question is... are you able to learn?
It was because the girl did it 2 or 3 days before a break and could have waited and had hair all the office lady’s quit because of rude negative shit people “had” to say
I WORK at a language school and my school is exactly like this. I have been asking the school authorities to talk to a mother of a child that does selfharm every time he answers a question wrong (he hits himself, sometimes up to 15 times). It took them forever to call the mother of the child. But when I told the students that I cannot record every single lesson and they need to come to school instead of demanding a lesson recorded every single time, I was very seriously critisized by the school authorities. They did have time to talk to me but not to the mother of the kid who might be in danger... And the only reason they talked to me was because they were AFRAID that students are gonna complain. Nobody complained...
What a wonderful child. Her parents must be so proud, she has a huge heart and the disgusting school should be ashamed of themselves. Much love to these two girls and prayers that they are able to take their friendship into adulthood @#kickcancersass. ❤️
For some schools it’s due to them not wanting their students to look like nazis but it’s ridiculous. Like legit. Some girls have shaved heads and some are stuck with shaved heads. Why are the morons running the school systems?
I hate it when people hate America for this school. It's one school not a whole country. America is not a bad country. It's like saying I hate Mexico because they speak Spanish.
My son had cancer. He was a real trooper, and his whole class supported him. When he got back everyone just took him in, showing him they missed him and cared about him. Children are genuine, and can be amazing.
Lewis Wright So they didnt have enough common sense to realise that a girl shaving her head is likely for cancer awareness???? Maybe she had cancer herself???? Did they even ask???? Would they have made such a terrible mistake and being embarrassed like that???? Were they so stupid? Or did they know why and still give her marching orders??? It is disgusting any way you look at it.. You dont often see little girls with shaved hair... Surely they could have asked why she chose to shave her hair... and not bully her with an indefinite suspension until she grows hair... FREAKING REDICULOUS
So we’re not gonna talk about the fact that they have no problem with kids bullying one another (and much worse things) yet being bald is for some reason a bad thing...
One of my biggest regrets is not shaving my head when my mother went through chemo. This girl did the right thing. Show support to friends and family going through this difficult challenge.
I know one lady who was diagnosed with breast cancer and caught it at a very early stage. Her hair was down passed her waist. She comes in to work and her hair is cut to her earlobes. She was told all her hair will fall out from the kemo, so she thought it selfish to keep the hair and donated her hair to a free wig association to people who can't afford wigs. Breast cancer runs in my family, and at 33, still nothing....yet. But if I'm ever diagnosed with cancer, I'll be donating my waist length hair to a free wig association before it fell out. Now she has no hair. But we don't see a bald lady. We see a strong lady who's making it through kemo and was kind enough to donate her hair. Kudos and props to these two brave girls for being so strong.
*Chemo. Yes, I hope she gets better. It is very painful and causes numerous side effects most don't know. It also can have a psychological impact. I wish more people understood.
Wow, this story brought a tear to this old Marine's eyes. I know this friendship. In the Marines and military all over, we call it comradery. The willingness to sacrifice all to save that one. There is not enough money printed that can replace that kind of friendship. May God rest that little girl's soul. 🙏
See how crazy this is??? This little girl at my kids' school did the same when her grandma pasted away from cancer and the school put her picture up as a symbol of kindness and compassion and even raised money to the breast cancer association. I'm sorry but I just don't get America!!!
That is a wonderful story about the girl at your child's school. However, this isn't just an "American" thing; it's ONE school here. I've read about similar stories happening around the world (even in Canada) where children are suspended for crazy reasons. Obviously, most Americans disapprove of that school, which is why there was such an uproar to begin with, and the reason we're watching it on the news.
Michael Stephens Hi Michael! I understand what you mean and I hope that I did not offended you by any way...but yes I live in Canada and was born here but I grew up in the US and did my middle/high school there. I kinda know both worlds and things that I have experienced in the US are things that I have never even heard of in Canada. But yes you are right, my country isn't perfect either...but honestly...hummm wish you could see what I talking about. It's so different around here...
That rule isn't even logical!! So, you don't deserve a right to learn because you don't have hair? Whoever came up with that rule should be burned right where they stand. Stupid! What she did was amazing, and I literally started crying after I watched this. I would do the same for my friends. I just don't get what America has become. Why couldn't we just be a kind, loving country instead of coming up with a bunch of crap rules, and saying stuff like what that school said? Whoever is reading this, help. We can make America a place where everyone is accepted no matter what. Come on, guys, wouldn't you like to see a kinder world too? Yes, I say world. Not just America on this one; the world too, because it's all of us who have to change. We can do it, guys. At school, work, where ever you may be, just please, please, PLEASE, show kindness and compassion to others. Help each other. We can still make the world a beautiful place. I think this world is evil right now. Let's all be like this girl (I'm NOT saying "LETS ALL SHAVE OUR HEADS BALD! I mean be brave and selfless) and make this world better. I hope whoever reads this will want to be in on this, and spread the word. If we wait, it could be too late.
Actually, the original rule was to stop hate - it just should not have been invoked on this girl. For decades white supremacist groups have identified themselves by shaving their heads (back before this was a common style.) Rules against a certain "look" may also be aimed to stop local gang violence. APPLYING the rule in this particular case was stupid - but the original reason may have been to stop hate. The media stir things up to increase ratings - they may quietly mention the other side of the story, but most consumers don't search for it. If the news presented both sides equally and fairly, it would not stir up outrage.
Ya that school is so stupid and they asked for her to come back to the school! If I were her I wouldn't come back I'd be like "man f you and your stupid ass rules!" But seriously she is an awesome girl for doing that for her friend

The girl with cancer in this video, Delaney, was recently put on hospice care as her treatments have stopped working. Please pray for her and her family♥️.
How do you know
Awwww...that poor little girl. Don't be such a jerk.

isn’t that what the teachers want-
actually no
@@adyan4010 they want kids to support others.. you must be in kindergarden
Wow, I can't believe they would ever want to punish such a sweet child doing something so empathetic toward her friend. I'm glad the school apologized.
Not good enough that they apologized, somebody should have been fired
+Louis Warren exactly!
+Louis Warren I telling u they should fire all those teachers that suspended the little Girl
kezia Thomas not only fire them but ban them from working in schools again unless it's being the janitor
apologizing is the least they could do I agree with the jogger that really is disgusting.
I hate that only after the world tells someone they're wrong that they apologize and admit they were wrong. They knew it was wrong before they did it and they did it anyway. You don't have to apologize if you do what is right the first time.
That's sooooooooooo fucked up a girl shaves her head to support her friend and she gets suspended
you are right because the school is fucked up because that's a true friend that did that for her friend

How is Bald Hair bad?? You At LEAST dont get Head Lice if your Bald.
Theresa Cook Bald (imo) isn't attractive... BUT it shouldn't keep people from going to school. That's just ridiculous! What a terrible school!
Hans Bjorgman Attractiveness has nothing to do with it though
BryanVSGaming HD Read after that sentence.
Correct
Theresa Cook They make those rules because there was a racist group called Skin Heads that shaved their heads to show who was in the group. Then they beat up and burned the house of anyone who wasn't white and Christian.
A school can't stop someone from joining a racist club in their private time but they can stop people from showing membership in a bad group with hair and dress codes.
I dont get how people can dislike this and how is it bad to shave off your hair for a BFF that has cancer

yea, like, what's even the point of that rule? How is a hairstyle going to effect education, regardless of the backstory?
Its so daft honestly! In my school boys aren't allowed hair that grows past their ears 🤦♀️
@@bat2929 As if hairstyle would somehow affect the learning. It's school, not military!
"Don't come back until you have hair"
That's going to take like 5 months just for the length of a pixie hairstyle
bruh 5 months pahah
@Shirley Jackson simply improbable. The chances of her not growing her hair back is just almost 0. She just shaved it off, I've been bald before when I was around her age and it grew back.

Don't come back until you hav hair?! Girl that's gonna be like 2 years later

Yes yes she's a saint but burned right where they stand that's a little harsh maybe....
Elinor Johnson Don't judge, I'm insane. XD
