Owned the 2014 1794 2x4 version and it was very fast when engaging the tow haul button and turning off all the "nannies" - like pin you against your seat fast and rear end other cars, fast. Also towed around a 7000+ lbs boxy RV and could easily accelerate up long hills going 60+, if in tow haul mode and/or non-tow haul mode but with stick in 4th gear. Towed in 5th and 4th most of the time. Engine screamed but it was happy that way. My wallet wasn't as I had to stop at 120 miles or about half a tank to get gas. Got like 7.5 to maybe 9.5 miles/gallon towing.
Truck was simple but reliable. Miss it..alot.
Now I'm in a used 2016 Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins and having all kinds of issues mechanically (steering linkage, loose steering, pulling steering) (cruise control intermittently works) ( steering column gear selector wont move out of park at times) (def fluid pump failure) etc. I'm always expecting some mechanical failure. I didn't feel that way with the tundra, as it was simple but bullet proof. But I like the cummins exhaust brake and power, better fuel mileage, diesel sound, and all the bells/whistles that come with my Limited Ram.

Yes, if you want a truck that's going to last a while! Fuel economy is terrible though. F-150 is more frugal. The next gen Tundra will beat them all though!

Sir, this is an American vehicle. Therefore, you will need to purchase a European vehicle at $150,000 plus in order to obtain real world world rather than imitation plastic. My opinion is that this is an extremely well done imitation of burled wood. I love the interior of my 2021 1794 interior. It is very tasteful and in exquisite taste. I have had many compliments from many friends as well as parking attendants.

Im looking for the most comfortable most refined with full size truck thats semi reliable. I dont care about towing power. I just want leather seats and space. I have both the 2014 and now the 2021 Tundra 1794, that engine noise when you accelerate is the best! Glad Toyota didn’t muffle it! And, yes, the braking is a little weak when you are trying to slow all that weight down from a high speed. But, normal braking is perfect otherwise. Highly recommend the Tundra, but not since the 2022’s came out. Toyota destroyed the Tundra in 2022 with that garbage V6 twin turbo. What were they thinking!?
