When the truth about the letter comes out, I believe that Aaron will be annoyed with Robert but he will understand why he did it. He acted out of love and I honestly believe Aaron will see that too.
Gordon been beaten up? Good he deserves it. I'm so glad Liv threw the necklace back . I hope Aaron doesn't hate Robert to much for burning the letter. Seeing Chas hug Liv and Aaron is so adorable. Now that scums away for 18 years maybe they can all forget about him!
Chas hugging Aaron and Liv is symbolic I hate how she continues to be immature and shut Robert out😠. Robert is the reason Aaron was able to get through the trial.

Liv isn't her daughter but you can clearly see after these last couple of eps that Chas is starting to like the girl. I do think he deserves one for how tall and strong and supportive and helpful and caring he's been with Aaron all these past months, with Chas too stoping her from going too far with Gordon and for being there for Liv even though she's nothing but rude with him all the time. He deserves a hug for all that and more but that scene wasn't about him and didn't call for it PERIOD. People really need to calm the heck down and see reality as it is.
Now I slightly fear Aaron's reaction when Rob tells him about the letter. Even though, being in Robert's shoes I would have done exactly the same to protect the person I love. Which is what he did. Argh, I'm conflicted in rooting for Robert protectiveness and in being a bit annoyed as Aaron would have maybe find some kind of closure if he'd read the letter. I think he was right to hold on to it until after the verdict. All Gordon was trying to do was manipulate Aaron into doing something, anything, to lessen his sentence or retract his statement all together. The letter would have agitated Aaron more than anything. But, now that the verdict is done, and this is all over, Robert should have been prepared to hand over the letter to Aaron. Aaron will be mad that Robert is trying to control the situation, like he always does; even though this time it was out of love and selflessness. Aaron will forgive him; but, probably after a good tongue lashing.

I mean I think that was the last thing on Roberts mind anyway, he was too focused on bricking himself because of Aaron finding out about the letter! The best thing about this episode is Aaron and the way he walked out of the court room giving his dad that look as he got sent down! Aaron is one of the few characters I have my full respect for these days because he has shown the nation just how strong people like him who've suffered such traumatic experiences can be. He's the real victim here and deserves so much respect and happiness!

The writers at Emmerdale seem convinced angst is all the gay storyline is about Aaron is going to get mad at Robert about the letter. It just seems like lazy writing to me all this sadness and no happiness.
