Neo Mario Galaxy is an unofficial modification of Super Mario Galaxy 2. This hack can be played legally on any homebrew-enabled Wii or Wii U console. No backup images or hardware modifications are required. The awesome logo animations were created by SY24. The background music used in this trailer was created by AJ Dispirito. Just Played through the entire game, so many insane improvements were made over the old version. It feels more like a Unique, original game rather than a cool custom world now. So excited to start speedrunning it soon. Great job!
How did you get green star 3 in gloomy galleon galaxy? A shell jump off the water by pressing a seems to give you just not enough hight to get the star. Is there a hidden ice flower somewhere in the level?

You just made my day, agh this looks so damn good amazing work. It's nice to so how the knowledge of modding this game only improves over the years and the access to more tools and etc.
How did I even know about this update!? Just installed it and played for a bit and I LOVE IT! It looks and feels like a totally new game much better than the last demo you've really improved since then and I absolutely love how Luigi is unlockable from the start kudos to you and the team bro!

I looked at the files for the soundtrack and saw that one of the sound files was called "World 2 Theme", and there were also a few unreleased galaxies. Does this mean that you are going to make a world 2 for the next update?

This is the kinda stuff that gets me hyped for modding. When I'm about to mod I go "Heh heh. Its hacking time."
OMG THIS LOOKS SO GOOD! Although, I will say a couple things bum me a little because it removes the return of some Galaxy 1 stuff, which the point of NMG was to bring back. Like, changing the tiled lava platforms you skate over into hot chocolate makes it less nostalgic to Galaxy 1, or the background change from the Gusty Garden skybox in Cloudy Garden, but I guess it does make things more consistent though, since admittedly the lava section in Sweet Treat was kinda out of place. I recognize some stuff from that demo years ago however returning that wasn't in the final mod originally tho, so that's cool, and I love the improved Sunshine level and Gloomy Galleon models! Awesome job!

Just 100% it, and the gameplay is just so well done! The only thing that separates it from the official Galaxy games is probably the soundtrack; they're good for any other game's standards, but a bit lackluster compared to actual Galaxy tracks. I'm not quite sure about how copyright for mods' music works, but some covers online sound great imo

0:07 i just realized... you can hear a part of this song in super mario 3d world, and rosalina is in super mario 3d world, that means that they probably take place in the same universe .o.

When Neo Mario Galaxy has had two updates before Super Mario Gravity, 64 Galaxy or Lost Levels has finished production
Well, Neo Mario Galaxy is just one world of essentially DLC for Galaxy 2, whereas Gravity is a full-length game as far as I know, and 64 is a remake of an entire full-length game that he keeps making improvements to, and all three are made each by single people. So it's not surprising that the one-world hack would have a couple updates over 3-4 years while the full-game hacks still aren't finished. As for Lost Levels though...yeah I don't know what the heck is up with that, that's only supposed to be a 1-2 world hack and unlike the other 3 it has a whole team of multiple people behind it, so I have no idea why it's taking so long, especially since it was originally meant to release in "early 2018," though they postponed that date to expand the game a bit.

So, I played this. While I like most of it, some stars and comets hurt me. I don’t know how speedrunning turnlog galaxy with barely any free time, or speedrun in battle blast, where you go through a bunch of planets, one of which is extremely hard because one of those dang money bags, the Eep Bleep speedrun/purple coin run, the chimps challenge in Sweet Treat, they were literally painful. I had myself yelling at the game for 1 and half hours doing turnlog. Also think the turnlog galaxy hidden star is a bit... too hidden? It’s really not intuitive to find it, I spent 30 minutes looking, and finally resorted to searching it up. Every other star in the game is great though, I just wish these few weren’t as bad as they are. The chimp challenge especially requires near perfect timing combined with luck for the balloons to pop out just right. I hope the stars get less annoying when the game goes along. I’ve only completed the world one boss after all. I hope a new update of the hack comes out later making it a bit better. As of now, everything other than those few stars is great. Amazing job man.
Hey Aurum I'm having trouble loading the mod in Riivolution. When I select the mode I want to use Normal or DareDevil mode and select launch my Wii U would stop working every time I try loading it.

Maybe most of the issues with not being able to adjust the camera are only problematic for people like me with a 4:3 TV, but still, I'd encourage you to keep 4:3 in mind just for an extra boost in quality of the game, and some of the issues with not being able to adjust the camera (again, especially in parts of Turnlog) I know for sure would NOT be mitigated by playing on a 16:9 TV.
Hey so this probably only occurs for me as it seems but when i create a new save file either in Daredevil or Normal Mode the Game crashes is there a specific reason for this? I checked every file and my Disc of Super Mario Galaxy 2 i even got an extra Japanese Copy of the Wii including a second Japanese Wii and it crashes aswell any reason for it?

Grünsterne, Luigi ist spielbar, einige Galaxien wurden generalüberholt, neue Modelle, besser Kameras. Das hier ist die definitive Version. Daredevil Mode ist auch dabei für den passenden Kick :p

This mod looks very great but I don't have a disc of Super Mario Galaxy 2 nor a PC to convert it to WBFS to play on USB Loaders, so may you make me a WBFS of Neo Mario Galaxy so I can play this amazing mod..?
I will even use Galaxy Master's gecko code for Multiplayer Galaxy 2 so it'll be Neo Mario Galaxy Multiplayer!

New Levels?!
Just tried the mod, and got a game over on the first galaxy, then my game crashed and some handler showed up. Then my save for nmg corrupted. Is that supposed to happen when you get a game over? I used save 3.

I really enjoy this hack, but the comet in Galactic Garden's timer is way too strict. Either remove the apple section or make the timer more forgiving. Also please make the target score be 500 instead of 600 please. The Chimp's skating challenge seems impossible with the score being 600. Both of those levels aren't a fun challenge. They're just hard for the sake of being hard. Please fix these levels and make them easier in the next update please.

Are you trying with Riivolution? I had the same when I tried to patch the game files to play in Dolphin. Something went wrong and it did not work.

If you wanna play this on Dolphin, then you must learn how to patch the riivolution patch over the iso.
I can't exactly give anything, but everything is online, just not documented very well.
You can apply the files directly over the original ones though.
