Getting My Dream Motorcycle - the Suzuki V-Strom 250. I tried this out before and instantly fell in love with this adventure bike!
This is perfect for the future of Kumander Daot - more adventures, further into the mountains!
After getting home from Cotabato last week, life was at a crossroads.
Taking part in the Suzuki Econorun riding a 125cc Burgman Street (and somehow winning the vlogger category - no idea how!) jogged my memory - and I remembered the V-Strom 250.
So here I am, with the motorbike I'd dreamed of!

Welcome to the Suzuki V Strom 250 owners, I got mine about 6 weeks ago and greatly enjoy riding it. Averaging 40 klm per litre at the moment. I will start touring soon.

Nice little bike, love that it's smaller and more agile but has a 250cc motor...thats nice!
Very good choice. I see one thing I would change right away or sooner. Those plastic handguards. Aftermarket metal reinforced handguards would protect levers and not snap off if you drop it. 👍 Also the Doubletake mirrors would greatly improve things. Never worry about mirrors breaking and they flip out of the way easily
Good call! I also need a louder horn hahaha but those are more practical suggestions!
@@KumanderDaot a better skid plate would keep you from puncturing anything underneath. Aftermarket skid plate for rocks in the trails. The stock flimsy plates are not much good. Heavier skid plate might not be a top concern but it would be one day useful. With a good skid plate you just tractor on and not worry about things bashing under the bikes vitals
@@kevinnashskitchen3517 this skid plate seems pretty solid but one that goes all the way back might be handy. I'll give it a bash and see haha
@@KumanderDaot you will see the difference in skid plates from stock to aftermarket. Just depends where you want to go. 👍

Congrats! While the Sniper is a very capable machine I think you'll find the V-Strom more capable. Next time you're around we'll go for a short ride to get a meriyenda, maybe an iced coffee, hehe.
Congrats on winning the challenge! The next time you do a fuel efficiency challenge like this, KD, you'll have to get yourself a skin tight riding suit like the type that speed skaters wear. It will improve your aerodynamics. Just don't get one that's all white. You don't want anyone to mistake you for the Michelin man (joke lang).🤣

Finally an adventure bike. Motovlogger in the Philippines should all get adventure bikes for the ground clearance and versatility.
Plus the tires they come with give you the added traction you'll need on the gravel, mud, sand, and wet.

Get a motar type helmet. Great for giving shades above your field of sight para di ka masilaw. Even better din during night i nod down a little bit para di masilaw sa mga naka high beam.

Awesome bike Kumander, enjoy! Prefer the 250cc size bike also as have owned 2 of them in the US. Think they would be perfect for the Philippines.
