I accidentally came upon Runa's voice in late eighties n was quite obsessed with her captivating voice n rendition. With time I got swept away n almost forgot about her numbers I was so obsessed once upon a time. But the transition from cassettes to yt reintroduced me to my rage of twenties especially 'tumhe ho na ho mujko toh itna yakeen hai.....' .

She had an amazing voice; God gifted. She registered herself in the Indian music industry during early 80s, but made a terrible mistake of backing out from there. I really feel sorry for her. She shouldn't have been stick to Bangladeshi music only, rather she had a lot to contribute for entire Sub-continent music. Very rare talent can be found in centuries.
It was bollywood politics that forced her to go back.
