We are all brothers and sisters. I imagine that every person on earth has been affected in some way by the destructive spirit of contention, resentment and revenge. The spirit of envy and hatred has led to some of the most tragic stories in history. Perhaps there are even times when we recognize this spirit in ourselves.
(Text message notification) We are not perfect. The people around us are not perfect. Jess! Jess, come on! Mom needs the car! People do things that annoy, disappoint, and anger. Tho we cannot look into another's heart, we assume that we know a bad motive or even a bad person when we see one. This topic of judging others could actually be taught in a two-work sermon. When it comes to hating, gossiping, ignoring, ridiculing, holding grudges, or wanting to cause harm, please apply the following: stop it! Jessica! Hey, why didn't you call me? What a loser. What picture? You made her cry in biology today. Look um, I was just joking around, so people need to stop taking things so seriously. Jessica? Thanks for drinking all the juice! Jess!
(Text message notification) Jess! Jessica! Jess! (Hears sniffling outside) Hey! You okay? I looked at your phone. Who wrote that? Who cares. They're right. No, no Jess. Come here. No they're not. They don't know who you really are. Jess, they're just kidding around. You are just like them, especially at school. Haven't we all at one time or another meekly approached the mercy seat and pleaded for Grace. Haven't we've wished with all the energy of our souls for mercy to be forgiven for the mistakes we have made and the sins we have committed.
Forgiving ourselves and others is not easy. In fact for most of us it requires a major change in our attitude and way of thinking even a change of heart. Consider the following questions as a self-test. Do you harbor grudge against someone else? Do you gossip even when what you say may be true? Do you exclude, push away, or punish others because of something they have done? Do you secretly envy another? Do you wish to cause harm to someone? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may want to apply the two-work sermon from earlier: Stop it! There's enough heartache and sorrow in this life without our adding to it through our own stubbornness, bitterness, and resentment.
(Text message notification) This mighty change of heart is exactly what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is designed to bring about. I'm truly, truly sorry. Let us be kind, let us forgive, let us talk peacefully with each other, let us do good unto all men.
Allowing us to see others the way our Heavenly Father sees us, as flawed and imperfect mortals, who have potential and worth far beyond our capacity to imagine. Because God loves us so much, we too must love and forgive. Remember, in the end it is the merciful who obtain mercy.

Bullying is like trolling in the comments. Most of the time it's best to ignore it, but when it becomes too much or they don't want to stop, then you fight back. Not revenge mode. Just enough to show them you aren't about to melt down. In other words, never let them have the reward they're looking for by doing it. Within reason do or say anything necessary to inform them that they will never get the reward from you that they are trolling/bullying you for, even if they are threatening violence. If they want to or try to hit you, you immediately either return blow for blow (not more), or you report it to teachers or police. The second option is usually better in our current time. Once you've done this sufficiently they'll stop *_because_* they cannot get the reward they're "fishing" for. This is from personal experience.

I was a bully at school and then in my university. BUT! Most of the time i bullied and fist-fighted someone who cold fight back because it was more interesting than just to hit someone weaker than you. It was like a game to show whos the alpha here. Now im bullying my coworkers but its soft-bullying by making jokes about them. And btw its doesnt affect my relations with them. I dont know whats the problem, i just feel that i must compete with everyone everytime. I know its bad in some way.
I am crying so hard. Though I was never a victim of bullies I am regretting every time that I pretended not to see bullying.

The student body and teachers have made posters that said stop bullying, talk to a teacher, etc. guess what, the teachers, students, and the principle didn't even do anything at all. I was being bullied on the playground for a while so I asked my mom to come, and the day she came I was being harassed and bullied again where my mom could see it and she went over and uhm strictly talked to the bullies, but the teachers could easily see it and tf they did nothing. I’d like to see them do something about it

Dear Melissa, I have beautiful daughters and a fear I always had is that they would be bullied and be sensitive to it - as I was. Life is extremely hard and unfair and if its not bullying that presses you down it will be something else. The tragedy is this: The world needs sensitive, compassionate and loving people and those people are most susceptible to be broken by the evil of bullying and behavior like it - Good vs Evil and Evil wins when people like you give up. A tragedy if you give up. The world needs the love and compassion and empathy you offer. Please do not give up by 1)taking your life or 2)exchanging your love for hate. Either way you die and the world looses. So what is the answer? If you cannot take it anymore please hang on to life and love, serve others until the solution comes - and it will eventually. I was and still am bullied. Today at work two girls took one glance at me and started whispering and laughing. I got off work 2 minutes afterwards so I held my tears in bit longer. I saw them outside and heard them talking about me. One said, "She was so ugly!" I just ran to the car and broke down. Why do people do this! Why do they feel like they can say this about others! I have felt so confident about myself lately and now it is all gone. This is exactly why I am depressed and insecure.

I too have had the unfortunate experience of bullying in both the workplace and at my high school. Those moments crying in my room or in my head come and go. The pain is unbearable, but I have learned that I must stay strong. My reason is because I have 2 younger brothers, with one that has just been born. As the older brother, I must aid in setting them in the right path. I want to show them the smile and compassion of a friend that I never had growing up. That is all I want in life, to see others smile. Thus, this is how I cope with the pain of bullying. Perhaps, you too can find yours.

No, just no. I mean it's good to be compassionate but it doesn't always work, bullies will check you limits of how far they can go with you. If you show, verbally is enough, that you won't let that kind of things happen to you, they will think twice before bullying you. And if you will be passive, who knows how far they can go...

To me bullies are just people who pick on the ones weaker than them, that is my definition of pathetic. I was never really bullied but I do feel bad for those who are. I think it also comes down to people not understanding how valuable “a life” is and what it means to the other person.

I am so sorry this is happening to you. You must remember though that there is absolutely nothing wrong with you. They are the ones with personal issues, lack of love at home, problems, frustrations. They are so unhappy the ly want to make others as miserable as they are. Whatever it is, of course that doesn't excuse what they do, but you must always remember that you are perfect the way you are. God loves you always and forever. This too shall pass. Walk in school with you head held high. Repeat to yourself always, I am perfect. Love yourself and stand your ground. Ride the storm. There is always sunshine after a storm. The most important part is to not give them the power to get to you because then they have acomplished their ugly plan. Get out of social media. You don't need that garbage in your life. Join a club, surround yourself with uplifting people. This too shall pass sooner that you think. Much love to you.

I was bullied. I even got picked on by the kids in church. I got picked on because they thought I was stupid and ugly and I was poor. Sadly enough some of the leaders were just as bad. Those were tough times. I am glad that I learned something from it and have a story to share.

Although i'm not a Mormon, i really like the message that this video is giving, but a lot of people just put their beliefs so high that they can't see what really matters and thats that in the end of the day... we all are the same, and we ll always be no matter what religion we believe in. I was bullied and teased my whole life when I was in school. Nobody have apologized to me! For their ruthless ways “ Never “ I hope they all get the punishment they deserve.
I was never bullied much as a kid, my mom told me this whole story... But when I was in 5th grade and it was after school and I just got back from a club. I turned the corner and saw my two autistic brother's (3/2 grade) being held against a locker by three boys who were in 6th, I don't remember what happened next but I slammed two boys faces against the locker, causing them to have bad concussions and threw the other to the ground and stomped on his face which ended in a broken nose and I was sent to the office. I was suspended for two weeks and nothing was done to the boy's, my mom made sure I got whatever I wanted for those two weeks for defending my brother's, the parents of the bullies didn't like me very much and neither did the principal or teaches for what I did, but it prevented me, my sister and my two brothers from being bullied again in that school

As someone who doesn’t go to church and has no religion, but can sympathize for those who do have one or who care about things like that, and someone who does in a way believe in god, I honestly think this is a good message. Thousands of kids are bullied on a daily basis in school, and hundreds of them end up committing suicide because of it. We all need to stand together and stop this, otherwise it won’t get any better.
