- YOU CAN'T SEE ME | The John Cena Story (Full Career Documentary)
Post Attitude Era, there’s no one in wrestling who’s managed to reach the heights of John Cena. Since the early 2000’s in fact, whether loved or hated, he’s been able to carry the WWE on his back as its top star, continuing on in this manner for over a decade, longer than either Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, or The Rock lasted in that role. In recent years though, it seems as though he’s finally readying himself to retire, with his in ring appearances becoming more and more of a rarity. So; join us today as we take a deep die in to his entire career journey in, You Can’t See Me: The John Cena Story.

Same for me truly the greatest of all time
Respect to the man who never abandoned his fanbase because he knew that kids don't understand heel turns. Respect to the man who stuck with his guts.
Also "upsetting adult males" sounds like a weak statement. A pro wrestlers' gimmick shouldn't upset adult males. Since Cena's shovel days are over, let's give Cena what he deserves. Love and respect.
don't forget about "adults" complaining about him "burying" young talent
His run of matches between 2015- early 2017 are honestly goated, so many gems in only a couple of years.

IDK if people don't know but here's another fun fact, Cena made a cameo appearance in WCW specifically in their movie Ready to Rumble. Other than that this documentary of Cena is spot on, one of my favorites.
Yep I remember , working out in the gym.

Regardless of how i felt about the superman booking sometimes,

Taker rock and Austin are arguable better but they couldn't carry the company for 15 years or so.
@@mahdizaker1773 just to clarify, the guys you mentioned carried the torch during the WWF era. I was referring specifically to Cena being the greatest of the WWE era. It’s not even close in my opinion.
There was a time when it all became really annoying and predictable, but you can't deny Cena's professionalism and dedication to the company. He also popularized the sport quite a lot among the masses in his time, so we must be thankful for that.
Love him or hate him, people born in 90's have watched his entire journey and he is really an inspiration to us.
I never had an issue with John Cena, just with his stale character. As a matter of fact, I loved the dr of thuganomics, this is why I booed him so much, I wanted to see him coming back to his best gimmick. But still Cena managed to becone one of the vest ever. His victory over JBL, his amazing battle with RVD, his feud with Orton, his battles with Punk and Bryan, the oppen challenge, there are so many epic moments that make him the Goku of WWE, hated for being stale and goofy, but still appreciated for being so iconic.
Goku of WWE.
One line is enough to describe him.
John Cena was, is and always will be the most deserving 16times WWE Champion. Love him or hate him doesn't matters but no 1 can deny the Fact that He is simply an Unbeatable Legend in the Entertainment industry. The most adored and demanded SuperStar on this Planet. Fire on Mic, Fire in cutting Promos, Great in building Stories, Gud Pro Wrestling skills, Totally Loyal and Dedicated to the Company and Business for a record making tym. Involved in Charity works himself and on behalf of the Company as well also not to mention he placed many New Talents over him in matches giving them lot of bright opportunities. Took horrible injuries, humiliation and hatred from fans throughout his long and super successful career head on and always walked out of it like a Pro unlike other Pro Wrestlers who loose their temper even for small taunts or tease by the fans. This man here is an Idol to b looked up to. U can't help but respect this Guy and his Aura.🙌🙌❤️
Delusional his pro wrestling skills absolutely sucked lol guy couldn't do more than 6 moves and refused to put people over also boring as catchphrases in the pg Era and annoying ass kids Def not love him or hate him he sucked ass at wrestling lol

I remember the 5 knuckle shuffle being very epic as kid when he did it
I stopped watching WWE in 2001, so I missed Cena. Seeing him in movies and interviews now makes it easy to understand why he became a huge star after the Rock.
Love him or hate him, you cannot deny the fact that he had carried the WWE solely by himself on his shoulders for 12+ years. I'm just glad that I was able to witness him from his start to possibly the end. He is one of a kind.

Delusional what is with u cena fangirls do u not have eyes? He didint carry shit by himself he helped carry it and due to not putting over younger talent and sucking at the actual wrestling he fell behind hard and only was ahead partially on the mic and merchandise sales which means pretty much jack shit orton carried far better and batista carried better in the early 2000s rock also had more star power cena was high tier minus the wrestling but he did not carry for more than 12 years you are absolutely Delusional lol

Say what you wanna say but He was my childhood hero and I really miss him hope he gets 1 more title run and can pass the torch to someone like Matt Riddle.
I started to watch Wrestling in 1991 so My childhood hero is Hulk Hogan and later the real Triple H - Hollywood Hulk Hogan... 😅
I’ve met John as a kid at a local car show in NewHampshire many years ago and I met his brother Matt years later when Matt was hired at the car dealership my father worked at. Both of them are great guys.

Another great documentary. Can't wait till the next one.
I always resented the fact that Smarks booed him during that time. This would become a problem that continues to this day with other top guys. I guess they were doing their best to get themselves over. What's ironic was he wasn't even stale yet compared to his 2010s character. But I guess it was simply the cool thing to do.
What's even more ironic is that he wasn't always booed. For instance, when he went to a Smarky City like New York, he was obviously booed. However, when he went to places like Mississippi, he would be cheered by the fans. There were even some Raws and Smackdowns where he was cheered, as well as certain PPVs. This might explain why Vince McMahon was hesitant to turn him heel because it would depend on which city WWE was in. In fact, this is why he had a Mixed Reaction from the crowd and it would become a part of his character.
Also, contrary to popular belief, Cena DID NOT bury the Nexus. According to Chris Jericho's third book, it was Vince McMahon who made that decision. What Cena, Edge & Jericho were discussing was HOW the Nexus would lose at Summerslam, which Cena suggest that finish. But remember who makes the final decision: Vince McMahon.
I remember in late 2010 there was a rumor that he was supposed to turn heel in his feud against both The Rock and CM Punk. Heck there is even a heel song called Beats Rhymes and Life that was meant to be his theme. Unfortunately, Vince McMahon got cold feet and we never got to see his heel persona.
I remember watching an interview about Bray Wyatt in 2017 and he said that him & Cena knew that he should have won at WrestleMania 30. But of course, since Vince McMahon is so stubborn, he want to have a happy ending for the kids and that is why Bray Wyatt lost at WrestleMania.
I wished he did turn heel because I think fans would have respected him more had he been the bad guy. It would have been cool to see him pull a Hollywood Cena character and mock his critics who turned on him for the sake of being cool.
Regardless if you like/dislike Cena, as Joe stated in this video, you cannot deny that he is a future HoF and will go down as one of the best in WWE history. 👋🤙🤙😎
It wasn't a rumour that they wanted cena to turn heel...from what I read from different sites and other wrestling news channel that they were ready even had his new heel gear designed but eventually someone decided not to make him heel, some sources says it's unclear who decided not to make him heel but I am sure it was Vinnie.
@@dreamingsymphony Most likely yes. I remember reading that as well. I will never understand why Vince McMahon was so nervous about turning Cena heel.
@@lancethefilmguy9392 money
John certainly isn't blameless in burying people over the years. You said it yourself, Cena had a hand in suggesting the finish against Nexus. When you're as big as John, you have a lot of pull with the writers and big Vinnie Mac himself. He's squashed a lot of upcoming talent over the years and he could easily have put his foot down and said "ya know, I don't think this is the right way to go". You can chalk that up as him being young and egotistical, obviously in the last few years of his career he's been way less hesitant to put others over.
