BIGGEST link between the incredible Hulk and Stan Lee is his first Cameo was in The Incredible Hulk TV movie The Trial of the Incredible Hulk which also Had Matt Murdoch and The King Pin But Lee was a member of the courts Jury during a dream sequence and he was also a Security Guard with Lou Ferrigno in Ang Lees Hulk movie.
Stan Lee also appeared back in Mallrats back in 1995! This has now been linked to the MCU thanks to the cameo in Captain Marvel where he is reading the script for mallrats.
It's interesting how people used to always skip this movie during an MCU run-through and actually say that it isn't canon for them because of how "bad" this movie is. But now everyone wants to pretend like they've loved this movie😑
Facts, always thought was underrated
The Incredible Hulk has always been a top tier Marvel movie. It’s the Nickelback effect, people just follow the tribe.
The hulk is my favorite comic character. I never skip this movie
@@jaymikesmovienites3452 saaame!
Stop making up scenarios
I always loved this movie as a kid, rewatching it as an adult I still like it! The action scenes are fun and I like the realistic gritty design of hulk as opposed to the newer mcu hulk
It’s sad we won’t get to see William Hurt reprise his role and become the red hulk. He passed way too soon!
he was 72 that's a good age
This is the Hulk we all wanted
yup
well if the movie did good initially then this would’ve been the hulk we got
The Hulk we deserve
Yep 😢😅
Hell yeah
With abomination back i really want hammer to return now that tony has left there is a power gap to fill, and he would be pretty cool in armor wars.
Pretty sure still in prison
@@WickedXombieDigiKing So was Kingpin and he's back.
@@juanrisa945 true
I think he’s coming back in Armor Wars
There is also a missable point you hear the hulk say “leave me alone” the first fight scene in the warehouse. Just after the first explosion.
That's comic accurate, it's Bruce's toddler self he repressed from his tragic childhood
It's why he speaks like a toddler in Thor Ragnarok
Yes! One of his few speaking lines
@@thepubknight6144I had no idea Hull was Bruce's toddler self. I knew Bruce had a traumatic childhood which in the Hulk persona being created but that I didn't know.
17:16 The thunderclap should have been used in "Thor Ragnarok" to send Fenrir flying out of Asgard. Hulk was underwater too so having that water separated from the ground for a moment would have been a cool shot.
The Incredible Hulk is still one of my favorite MCU movies even tho it’s very underrated and considered forgettable by many
Incredible hulk was trash.
Doomsday would flick him away like a fly
The best version of the Hulk before Disney turned the character into a goofball
@@dcmastermindfirst9418this is the MCU buddy. Not the over exaggerated unrealistic DC
I’m not sure what’s more impressive. Marvel for inserting so many Easter eggs or y’all’s ability to find and point them out!
Did Erik just include Ross' blood red, which was a nod to him being The red hulk on his 2nd detail? Lol, every person in this universe has red blood, so they were red Hulk as well??
Big stretch there.
@@brian5771 also I'm pretty sure this movie predates red-hulk and titan-hulk, so he's mostly pulling all of this out his ass lol
@@winables5415yes and yes, but also 100% yes @brian5771
The color code names isn’t a reference to Reservoir Dogs. There was a Mr. Blue in the comics that was helping Banner that I believe turned out to be Emil Blonsky.
One thing not mentioned is that Louis Leterrier the director of The Incredible Hulk actually wanted Mark Ruffalo for the movie the whole time. But I believe he was offer ruled by Marvel or Universal who wanted Norton because of his likeness to original Banner from the tv series.
Except they look nothing alike..so..
It was good old scheduling conflicts that kept Mark from taking the part originally
@@wintyrqueenZodiac?
Nah, it was because Universal owned Norton something.
@@wintyrqueenoth look like a version of Bruce Banner
Mark looks like the Ultimate Banner and Ed like the Joe Fixit/80s era Banner
Porta Verde means "green door" which is a prominent theme in The Hulk lore in recent comics
The Mr. Blue/Mr. Green thing is also a direct reference to the Bruce Jones Hulk run of comics from the early 2000’s. Really great and worth tracking down.
Always thought it was a nod to resovior dogs lol
@@thuggin214 I imagine the original reference probably nods to that, so the movie would too, technically!
@@pfresh
I just love Liv Tyler and Blake Nelson is back and now that means Mark can play hulk and get a film
@@thuggin214I thought that too
The original Blu-ray box was green instead of blue, which was a cool touch.
1:52 That was a coincidence, since Titan debuted in 2021.
If we got Titan in the MCU, that would be DOPE
@@callmestorm23Do you even know how he even turned into the Titan!!???
@@Alfredotinajero4186 Titan was created by D'Spayre and The One Below All and was planted in Banner's mind like a virus. Once Titan grew, it took over Banner's mind. By using the Hulk's power and rage to fuel it, Titan bonds to Banner's trauma centers, becoming one with Banner and the Hulk. Titan manifests whenever the Hulk reaches a certain and insane level of rage and power
Excellent work!!! And thanks for mentioning and referencing writers!! Onward!!
I'd love to see Ty Burrell come back as a character in the MCU.
I always thought that he and Julie Bowen would be the PERFECT Reed & Sue. I'd be so happy if that happened.
@TheSuperScifiShow I've always thought he'd play an older version of a character, like Tony Stark from another universe, but yeah, an older Reed Richards would be good as well.
Doc Samson is a staple in all hulk related material but whether the MCU will go back to using Ty Burrell is debatable.
100%
@@dellytancyl524
Ty said he wants to come back ..
Fun fact: There's a semi canon comic of Ty Burrell's Doc Samson and Mark Ruffalo's Professor Hulk doing therapy sessions
Ty looks like gamma powered Doc Samson with shorter hair
Originally Martin Starr played Amadeus Cho but then years later he was retconned to be his character in the spiderman movies
that was only according to the novelization, which changed the movie a lot
I've gotta say this is in my top five mcu films. I love it so much and I just think that 08 Hulk is perfect.
the best Hulk imo
2008 Hulk is the Nickleback of the MCU and I am not ashamed to say I like it.
Do not disparage hulk like this
This is so accurate, I'm furious 🤣🤣
When will society stop with the nickelback slur?
@@ToolFloydChimera I think it's more of a joke now than the insult it used to be
@@Standard_Pangolin I’m not seeing your point. Slurs are slurs. Less it be “n word” or “c word” or the nickelback slur.
Two powers I want to see in action.
1. The angrier Hulk gets, the stronger he gets.
2. His insane healing factor.
He's also supposed to grow bigger as he gets angrier. Something the 03' movie did, that no other movie used.
Facts.
Ang Lee's "Hulk" shows how he grows larger as he gets angry. And the desert fight scene right after is still better than anything Hulk has done in the MCU.
I'd love to see some The Immortal Hulk stuff in live action. Some truly terrific horror stuff
Lol hulk is weak.
Doomsday kicked his ass in death battle.
And Hulk cannot sustain his anger for ever.
Universal had the rights to Hulk, Sub-Marner, The Human Torch and Captain America starting back in the 1970's. This started with television rights.
A hulk where you can see gore would be brutal and awesome!!
Imagine if edward norton returns as a variant
The hulk we need
Edward Norton is a great actor
"The 2000s loved to do that Notebook shit"
That got a LOL from me 😂
2008 hulk is the goat always thought so the 1970s hulk reference and the way they designed hulk as an absolute savage is awesome
Did Erik just include Ross' blood red, which was a nod to him being The red hulk on his 2nd detail? Lol, every person in this universe has red blood, so they were red Hulk as well??
Big stretch there.
Edward Norton was an excellent Banner.
I was hoping you would mention when he Hulls out and is in the shadows you can hear Hulk say "Leave me alone."
Such an underrated movie, love it. Can't wait for Cap 4
@@mccleandazza4618shut up
@@mccleandazza4618Sam is no longer falcon so this is in fact a captain America movie
Dear God was Norton a far far better Hulk/Banner than whatever Ruffalo does when he’s in these films
So true!! It hurts to think that we didn’t get more Edward Norton Banner/Hulk
This will always be my hulk. He was my favorite superhero and Marvel ruined him 😔
Cope.
Yes Disney fucked up the hulk made him childish and all comedy
We lost our on some great hulk opportunities since this. It’s all been a letdown ever since 😭
Crazy timing I just rewatched this last night!
Edward Norton hulk is underrated
Phil Dunphy being in MCU makes me happy
Trash.
Hulk is weak and lame just like the rest of marvel now
With long, green hair
@@dcmastermindfirst9418 cry louder
Love that you guys put William Hurt up as Ross in the intro ❤🙏🏾
I love this hulk I still watch it till this day
We needed this version of the Hulk imo
I'm looking forward to seeing Mr. Blue
👏👏👏thank you team for this!!!
I always enjoyed this version of hulk and the 3rd act is very fun and what I expect in a hulk movie
This is the Hulk we all want...Not the joke we didn't order for.
Really? Then why didn’t y’all support this movie when it was released? You clearly didn’t want it enough
@@CaptainPikeachu Ow I did...I love this movie any day...
@@CaptainPikeachuI loved this movie. I loved his design! It looks amazing!
Speak for yourself
This is still my favorite hulk movie, I loved the settings and the struggle shown between hulk and banner
Really appreciating how the hosts are starting to shout out the behind the scenes teams of writers, editors, researchers/Easter egg hunters that are helping to bring these videos to life.
Hey Eric Rick Jones also eventually turn into A Bomb (hulk and The agents of smash)
Rickson Gracie's name pronounced like Hickson
17:05.... Not sure about "scar" thing. From what I remember, Hulk's got a healing factor similar to Wolverine's so that should've healed.
This movie is and always will be AWESOME
18:00 - his name is on the computer screen isi listed as "Banner, D. Bruce" (Last name, first initial, middle name) which is one of the standard ways names are written in the military. So his name written for civilians is D. Bruce Banner....David Bruce Banner, not Bruce David Banner.
I don't really listen often enough to see if the writers get credited for the scripts often but I thought it was a very nice touch here. Often the background personnel get so under-appreciated for their efforts. Well done!
CAN’T WAIT!!!🎉
This is my favorite hulk!!!!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🔥
Wow. There were so many nods to past hulk lore and returns for people involved in the hulk at various stages in all those movies. That was great content! liked and subbed!
“A case of the gamma poops”!! Haha!
Hulk losing to thanos was the biggest slap to the face
He’s lost in the comics so not really
I would really love to a hulk horror movie based off of Al Ewing’s Immortal Hulk run. The Xemnu arc would fit into the MCU well while also getting to play with the revolutionary ideas just beneath the surface of lots of Hulk Comics.
They are nowhere near ready for that. They got a lot of character building to do with the Hulk.
I didn't see that William Hurt died. That's so sad. He was in everything growing up.
Surprised you didn’t mention that the drink Ross was drinking was the Incredible Hulk. It was real popular around the release of the movie. My mother’s bar served them very often. I had a set of radioactive barrel glasses I served a few regulars drinks in lol
Hypnotiq and Hennessy! I was always too young when it was popular but later on I tried one and I’m surprised how tasty it actually is. They should def make a comeback although I think it’s more that hypnotiq isn’t nearly as popular as it used to be.
I love the Incredible Hulk 2008 movie that movie will rock for awesome movies
Saliva sample from Hulk may be from when abomination hit hulk, and then hulk spit on street. Also abomination was stabbing hulk, Ross may have collected samples from that abomination fight.
I’ve had this movie on disc since I was about 5 or 6, I remember watching it like 100 times
2:23 Oh goodness. I did not see the word “Rare” there for a moment 😬
frrrr
Love that Ross was drinkin and Incredible Hulk shot when Tony came to talk
This movie was amazing I love how they did hulk
I just watched this on Disney+ today so I could watch this video I saw was posted yesterday.
I love that you guys shout out the writers on the videos
I never expected The Incredible Hulk to stream on Disney Plus.
At 18:00, correction it was shot in Hamilton. Close to Toronto but not actually Toronto. I remember growing up and getting to see the set and the play through of the pre done explosions.
Wow what great info
I’m so glad that we are going to see the result of what happened to Sterns at the end of the Incredible Hulk
The fast & furious in Rio joke, comedy gold!
They need to make a World War Hulk movie
I love all the channels. Why you gotta mess with my mind?!?
This hulk would’ve gave thanos a better fight
I need to watch this movie again.
i love that picture of anthony mackie and harrison ford!
I hope the mark ruffalow hulk is a skrull so we can get the Edward Norton hulk back the dark, hardcore, serious no comedy hulk back ‼️
B.B.: “I kinda broke Harlem.”😆
That red hulk...that's just Gordan Ramsay on a normal Tuesday.
Stanley M. Leiber also appears as a juror in the 80s flick Trial of the Hulk featuring Matt Murdock and Daredevil
Well Done :)
Wish hulk still looked like this it was perfectttrr
Campea taking a selfie made me think of Tony telling a soilder that he better not see it on MySpace when taking a photo of a soilder lol 😋
Legendary for even having this idea
@18:24 Ross is drinking a drink called "The Incredible Hulk" which is half Hpnotiq liqueur and half Hennessy cognac on ice (sometimes with a lime)
This was a surprise but a welcome one
When was this filmed? You said that "We'll soon see Riri Williams as Ironheart".
That fast an the furious joke made me laugh😂😂 4:42
17:58 It looks like they also made "David" his first name in the opening credits, based on the formatting of the name. The "D." immediately following the comma would indicate it as his first name. This means he's still going by middle name in this film, which, of course, some people do.
the hulk we can only dream of having in the mcu😔
A nice and underrated MCU. Norton is great and underrated as Bruce. I wish Hurt was still with us to play Ross RIP.
Yeah i agree no offense to Harrison Ford but they needed to find someone about a decade younger to play Ross. Seeing old withered Harrison Ford in the newest Indy Jones movie just makes you realize he's over 80 years old and how many more movies does he have in him?
Harrington is a Skrull used by Fury to keep an eye on potential recruits
One of my fav Marvel movies of all time…def in my top 5….
No Mr. Blue and Mr. Green was a reference to the Hulk story when Bruce was on the run. The reference was during Mike Deodato and Peter Davids run!
I wish the Hulk movie was included in the Marvel Multiverse as it's still one of my favourite marvel movies and a bigger more OP Hulk
This is soo funny, I literally watched The Incredible Hulk the other! Great video as always Erik.
