Thanks for hitting the highlights. I couldn't sit through a 3 hour discussion. I couldn't care less about advanced combat. I agree that they need to leave that in challenge mode. Our guild gave up on raids. Not worth our time to get so close and then not win anything. We've settled on being a social group that helps each other with quests and pets and we LOVE the museum. We work on that twice a week. Thanks for the video!

The roundtable was great! I just saw KI is planning to make changes to the dungeon next week. I think it's a good sign and hope they continue to make more changes with the community's input. It's good to see the community unite and tackle these issues with the game, we just need to hope KI listens.

I think the entire round table hit a lot of other good point not mentioned here but this was a good overall summary! To help facilitate discussion in the future, I think it would be helpful to have the question prompt written out.
I'm grateful for the discussion because many voices are stronger than a single voice. Most of us creators do this as a hobby so our takes aren't biased or have a profit motive. The frustrations mostly stem from KI feeding the whales and nepo babies who have plenty of time to Raid while in their parents' castles in suburbia.
I play Wizard101 because it is marketed as a casual family game. I hope they don't plan on pushing Restricted Combat and Shambo in future updates. It literally feels like combat is becoming fancy ping pong.
PVP is dead because they decided that prolonging the fights is more important than having an actual fight where you take risks and build long term strategy. All that's left of the queue are clowns, boosters, account sharers, and snipers cannablizing each other and then thinking they're good by shielding every turn.
I hope things turn around, but it's looking like an impossibility now.
Nightmare dungeon was just a push for KI to force everyone into their other end game content because they know the majority of their playerbase is PvE and "oh no how are we going to make money on memberships if we stop updating the game". Advanced combat is cool but it is a separate mode. It shouldn't be integrated into the base game. For all those complaining they wanted a challenge, they got it but the casual players got nothing.
Safe to say I'm cancelling my membership once again until I am satisfied with the state of the game. I encourage you all to do the same and speak with your wallet. That is the only way change gets made.

No one mentioned housing, they put new housing items that are non tradeable in hoard packs and haven't made a new furniture pack for worlds after Khrysalis. (7 worlds missing) Not a huge deal, but it's another sub group in the community that is neglected like pve and pvp.
You can't say that after all we have gotten recently with item scaling and advanced move etc
This kind of action by lots of players has been needed for years way before even arc 4 started yet here I am still lol

I want a level squish, free up the first arc for f2p people or just make the whole game f2p because it basically already acts like that with the "gacha" gambling found in boosters and pets. Maybe turn some older content/worlds into optional areas or options if a level squish happened.
I can give Ki credit about trying different things, but there should’ve been something smaller first before introducing the nightmare dungeon and they can go on from there. I don’t mind raids, casual content or advance combat but there should’ve been something smaller if it’s either a toned down dungeon introducing advanced combat or have Diego help people understand, maybe have it as a requirement for newer dungeons so people don’t just skip it over. Also get rid of stat caps for pve

It’s really weird to get into wiz now cause like this is my 3rd week playing and I think this game is so good aside from feeling a little clunky coming from a much much larger MMO idk I don’t really see a lot wrong with this game.
I agree. This other mmo rpg I used to play is a lot more harder to learn and has an insane power creep problem and more expensive compared to wizard101. I feel that wizard101 is a lot more forgiving.

Been an Ice main since 2012 or so, I have my phases with Wiz and have always eventually maxed out and farm every piece of possible ice gear from bosses/dungeons. Spent hundreds of dollars on Wiz as ell for pack gear, mounts, etc. Then they came out with raids and personally, my opinion is that they're an awful design. Going back to Pirate after a 7 year hiatus - Pirate is such a better and more fun game with a much better story imo. Shame it's neglected like crazy.
Endgame content should make me excited to reach not depressed and detour me away from the game i played from dragonsprye being max world to Aztec back in the day and i remember being so excited hearing about every update now coming back to the game when i look at all the ridiculous grinds there are when most i had to worry about was water works gear back than it's gonna make quit real fast on top of the aggressive absolute shamless pay to win/pay wall mechanics it just ain't fun sounding

this is so real. i've played for 12 years, but never maxxed a wizard, and i'm finally relatively close to maxxing one, but now it doesn't feel worth it because of all the grinding i'd have to go through. and a lot of the changes with the mechanics of the game have put me off from playing as well. :( like what am i paying so much money for? i don't want the few hours i have to play the game to be spent grinding for gear.

I would nor say Dark was casual as someone who did it on launch day. Dark is not og hades nor og Chibalba which each took close to 5 hours per run. The night mare dungeon is fairly easy by og wizard101 status

KI emergency stream because the terrible state of the game. KI are clearly very worried. I bet they don't listen, some changes to weaken it a bit is coming, but more of the same in the Spring/Summer. There's zero point in doing the Nightmare at all. Not even with guaranteed drop of your choice per run, that's if you can finish it. I'm sticking with Aeon gear. I'd love to be proven wrong but KI has very important 20+ months, with no new worlds. Raids, some awful dungeon, more beastmoon, more challenge mode is my prediction. Nothing that will give me something to do after my last wizards finish questing. They are so out of touch with the community, especially the majority of players. Devs always double down because they are right in their minds. No concept that their job is to entertain us. I'm taking my first break in over a decade playing, once my yearly member runs out. I am concerned though if Wiz lives through the next 20 months. Wiz will keep the lights on for a long time for sure, but new worlds after the exodus of players, with nothing worth playing for the best part of 2 years. I want to be wrong but current devs have no idea to make fun content anymore. Sad times ahead. I need to find a new game, if anyone knows something Wiz like, turn based, no fast pc/internet needed no reaction speed and no degree in advanced hieroglyphics needed to understand the cards . please leave a message.

I've said this on a couple of y'alls threads, so here we go. KI needs to stop listening to content creators all together. Every time something major is released, some of you get on here and complain how you don't like this, you don't like that, this didn't live up to your expectations, something wasn't done the way you wanted it. Case and point Awesome the Sauce complaining every last spell audit about how "broke" something is, or how unfair a new spell is and KI like goofies cow toe to you youtubers leading the game MOST TIMES in the wrong direction to compensate scared to death one of you spoiled over inflated ego maniacs is going to quit and take people with you. Which isn't the case. So what you didn't like something. Or something didn't meet your expectations. We value your content and your input, but trying to quazi control the game development to suite YOUR OPINIONS is just trash content. garbage. rubbish. I said what I said.
