This was a sermon on gluttony. He goes the extra mile with his illustrations because that’s how he touches people. That’s how his messages stick. You may not like his delivery but this man and his team are changing lives and I’m here for it. Different pastors exist to touch different people in different ways. I was drifting away and he brought me right back. I’m grateful for his ministry.

He might've had a somewhat good message at the end, but there are certain things you don't do in a church setting. Don't clown around with the Word of God. You see what Jesus did when the people used the church as a gambling/tax place.

Not everyone that goes to the church knows the Bible or grew up in the church. Michael Todd is using easy-to-digest illustrations to not only deeper the understanding of frequent church goers but to also be understood by newcomers. It’s the same approach they use when you see glass stained windows of the Birth of Jesus or The Last Supper to aid those who were illiterate. The message itself was really good imo.

All these people talking about how great this whole sermon was. I heard him use God as an expletive when he couldn't get the gummy worms open then try to clean it up real quick with the Jesus help me line afterwards. He is like many childish "preachers" playing fast and loose with blaspheming the LORD.
Most of these comments didn't age well. It's sad that people need to see utter blatant blasphemy to have any lick of discernment. There were signs all along way before April of this year. This "touch not the Lord's anointed" misuse of scripture is heavily affected the body of Christ. I love Michael Todd. He is a true man of God. Though he fumbles (and we all do the same) sometimes, he is genuine. He needs our prayers, not criticisms. Do not judge anyone (Matthew 7:1-5).

Doesn’t have to be said in the Bible to know it’s true. The Holy Spirit gives us the ability to discern further. I mean gluttony seems like one of the devils favorite sins because it is subtle and flys under the radar. It’s not like lust or pride. Those are easily noticed but gluttony not so much.

My problem is that the word is SUFFICIENT!!! If telling a person plainly the scripture isn't enough then something is wrong. You don't have to add dramatics or theatre to get the point across. The Bible in its entirety is lively enough. I don't know Mike personally and I live where he lives. But entertainment isn't a necessity to share the word. I believe at the end it can lead people talking about church like it's a play and to completely have missed the message.

My problem is that the word is SUFFICIENT!!! If telling a person plainly the scripture isn't enough then something is wrong. You don't have to add dramatics or theatre to get the point across. The Bible in its entirety is lively enough. I don't know Mike personally and I live where he lives. But entertainment isn't a necessity to share the word. I believe at the end it can lead people talking about church like it's a play and to completely have missed the message.

This was great a sermon. Never heard anyone preach on gluttony. I was blessed by this and if you weren’t maybe you missed the point

@@Kdubtru He’s extra and I won’t deny that but who knows maybe someone out there needed the over the top illustration for it to really resonate. I’m not a preacher but I feel he’s using his calling to the best of his ability. But he ain’t for everybody

I have come to understand that we all don't learn/retain info the same so what may not be necessary for you to get the point may be necessary for others. Doesn't make it wrong just means it's not a learning method YOU need.

@@aliyahnewman1991 the man twists scripture, and does all kinds of inappropriate stuff in his church. Calling out false prophecy is not bringing someone down. When someone is leading hundreds or thousands astray, you don’t just close your mouth and say nothing. Of course you pray for them, but we are also called to spread the good news and Truth of the gospel, which means exposing and preaching against anything that perverts the gospel of Jesus Christ. Someone who plays around with the word of God is someone we are to warn others of.
He’s giving a visual representation of what addiction to food and greed looks like. He was being a mirror. For a lot of ppl, it hits different when you can actually see and hear what you sound like. Powerful sermon…watch it in context.

The Bible is not enough according to Todd. These gimmicks will only get worse and more over the top. However the people sitting under him have itching ears for this kind of stuff. And it seems to be a judgement upon them .
Tommy...it's about the bible being enough...it's more about explaining to a generation that reads less and watched more....he explains the bible in depth for a generation that has almost lost its way...he has found a way to get them to understand the minor things they consider to be okay ... he's illustrations alone get alot of the younger kids involved and if there's a group that needs to really listen and understand the word , it's the youngest of us... don't look at this clip and judge go ahead and watch the whole thing...it's not about following mike Todd...it's about "what is he saying...does it make sense ....how is it helping you....what does it explain"
