Hey Spiff, there's actually a real time FNAF challenge on "Return to Bloody Nights." In the challenge modes, there's a real time one where you have to survive an ACTUAL 6 hours in the game. It could be interesting to see, especially since the game is pretty scary itself
Exactly what I thought, but holy it would be rough
Unfortunately I doubt he will play it again. He really didn’t like it. :(
3fs fan?
there's also the Gameboy recreation of FNAF 1 using GB graphics that has two files when you download it; a regular version and a real time version, and yes the real time version lasts the 6 hours too. thought about it as soon as it was mentioned, it's a cool but messed up concept.
That admittedly takes some of the horror out of it- because like, think of it, while the animatronics are moving around, goddamn they’d be really slow
This game is honestly one of the least scariest fnaf fangames recently but the most fun in years. I honestly dont mind

I genuinely love that this game doesn't go very in-depth with the lore. I've always thought that part of the reason why Fnaf isn't scary anymore is because plenty of the mysteries about what is going on around you have been solved. This game, however, just has the reverse bite of 83 and what little details the chef supplies you with.
All of this was written in the silence.
Im reading comments in the silence

If someone were to genuinely make a real-time Freddy's game, they should implement a bunch of "fail-safe" mechanics like this game did with Foxy and Freddy, allowing the player to react too slowly without immediately dying, but still having a serious consequence. It would allow consistently longer runs, let the difficulty increase over the course of the night, and would make the deaths feel more like the fault of the player as opposed to bad RNG.
well fuck, I actually wanna make this now....fuck it, I'll make it.
Another option would be to go for a Desert Bus approach where the challenge isn't reaction based and is instead endurance focused
37:40 And onward Is absolutely my favorite part of the video. The writing is unlike anything I have ever seen or heard, and the editing is the cherry on top!
Mmmmm, void cherries.
I really love the style of this game, its very refreshing in general and has one of the more inspired gameplay loops. I'm shocked I haven't seen a fnafxpapa's pizzeria sort of game before
oh god that would be amazing
OMG THAT WOULD BE SO FUNNY, poor roy gotta survive the night
A papa's pizzeria gameplay with avoiding animatronics would be the best fnaf game of all time if done right.
Imagine it's like tyke and sons
Hi! Film person here. Writers strike ended but actors are still on strike. The extra money you mentioned around 28 minutes goes to production and distribution companies, which is a large reason as to why the actors are striking. They typically get paid outright without more income after a project releases onto streaming (bc streaming is so new, as in it was recognized in 2019 as distribution when the Big Five were announced, there aren't a whole lot of regulations)
Thank you for the explanation!
Foxy is the epitome of the duality of childhood to adulthood. As a child you’re excited about toys, as an adult you’re excited about copper wiring.
love this game's style and unique gameplay, instead of having a timer like staying alive till 6 AM like most other games you instead have an objective to do which is honestly quite cool and the aesthetic of the game is tbh rlly cool
it probably got the idea from FFPS ngl but yeah it's fun
Freddy's first person shooter?
Don't disrespect FFPS like this.
Final fantasy pizzeria simulator
@@corruption723 it definitely did.
There is actually a six hour version of FNaF 1, with power scaled accordingly to several thousand percent and the animatronics slowed way down. It's a tricky balance to stay alert for so long without completely losing focus.
If you want to play more classic-style fangames, I quite enjoy Fazbear Entertainment: Storage. Aside from the most unnecessarily banger music, it's just a well-paced retake of a lot of the gameplay elements in the series, due to the atrocious nature of FNaF 2's gameplay. It came to mind since you were talking about introducing mechanics to the player gradually.
I never thought I'd be asking this but, what's the six hour FNAF 1 game called?
and why am I considering making my own fangame actually last six hours?(don't answer this)
What is the six hour fnaf called, I NEED to try it
So here's a funny thing (that you may have already realized but eh): Threadbear getting stuck in the conveyor is actually a good thing! It makes it so that none of the other characters can get in there even from other rooms so at some point most (if not all) of them should get stuck waiting for him to get unjammed. If that happens you can just patiently wait for the power load to go down while warding off the one animatronic that isn't stuck and when you wanna actually progress you can just unjam Threadbear and then everyone else should get sent back too (if they don't just turn off the conveyor again).

This is not at all intended to be mean, but easily the most interesting part in this was Spiff 100% understanding how Saw Stops work and communicating it really clearly and effectively. Have you worked with tools a lot or something?
he said he did workshop in highschool and it was explained to him there :))
How would anyone think that that was mean 😭
@@spunkysamuel Prolly something like "Oh the content and Spiffs effort meant nothing and just some random fact interested you, you're saying Spiff is boring? That's rude"
I have never touched a power tool in my life and I also know exactly how a saw stop works. It was a really popular thing on youtube for a while, testing saw stops. Engineering/crafting youtube was on it for a while. People like I did a thing, Stuff Made Here, WIlliam Osman, etc
Yes saw stops detect moisture which trigger it so if u have wet wood it could possibly occur on accident
Regarding the Saw Stop, it is annoyingly patented/owned/whatever and can be a real pain to get hold of. I think in Europe it might only be available on Festool saws, and not lower end brands. But it is really cool, if I remember correctly it stops the blade so quickly that the deceleration can knock the blade tips (which are often brazed on) straight off. That is of course small damage compared to the wrecked area where it collides with the aluminium block and the twisting that the blade will encounter.
by FAR the best ending EVER to a spigg video, the editing and writing on the closing gags are pristine
I love Chica in this game. She looks so happy when she thinks she has you with the toy pistol but then you shoot first and then she makes a grumpy face lol. It's just perfect
Okay, so I understand why the FNAF 1 doors require power to remain closed-- if the power went out, the guard would be trapped, and it presents a fire hazard. Why do _these vents_ require power to remain closed, though?
because ooooooh spoooooky power stealing mechanism to make it haaaaaarder
*also because it probably wasn’t thought through fully
Okay but since when does fazbear entertainment care about fire hazards
@spotlightanimation6719 pretty sure they would be extra worried considering how many of the places burned down lmao
the vent gremlin requires a trade of power for closing his domain
It's a fnaf fan game. Who needs logic
I like the way the game teaches its mechanics. The tutorial describes the tools available to the player, but not directly in relation to the animatronics since phoneguy is either ignorant or lying about their threat to the player. Therefore, the player have to figure out on their own how to actually use those tools against the animatronics.
Spiff really gave us time to collect our thoughts and think of what we are doing watching a mad man forcing us to watch a black screen
I've gotta say, that minute and a half of just silence at the end was truly life changing.
Since you were talking about sawstops, my ex-woodshop teacher (I still come in even though I graduated) has one on the table saw in the shop. The company who makes sawstops actually will replace the cartridges for free _if_ you ship the brake and scuffed saw blade back, and it triggered due to human contact (which to be honest I have no clue how they test that). Sawstop has a blade forensics team of sorts, they want to analyze their brake design to see if it stopped in time. By doing this, you're actively improving research for better blades.
The cartridges are fairly cheap to manufacture so that probably explains why. I don't believe they cover the blade cost, however.
The 1 minute dark silence at the end was creepy! Kept waiting for a jump scare or something.
Spiff has reached the point where he can make references to his own old videos and Im all down for it.
“You busted too early” was the best chat quote
Agreed.
Damn, that ending at 37:42 really made the whole thing worth it
A game that is unique in gameplay and where the characters actually look like children pizza mascots. Rarely these two can be seen together.
This is cool; the design choice of the animatronics not having legs is probably a reference to a generation of Pizza Time Theater (the company that became Chuck E Cheese) animatronics, which only created characters from the waist up. They would be embeded in the stage as if the were emerging from behind a wall, hence no need for legs, only wires to hook em up. Pretty neat.
thanks Spiff, I really needed that time of reflection at the end of the video. I don't know how I've managed without it for all these years!

Hi there
spiff never fails to make me lay face down on my bed kicking my legs into the air ❤❤❤❤
I love that Spiff completely ignored the chat freaking out over them having their balls scammed by the wrong click.
37:40-39:03 Someone didn’t check the end of their Premiere project timeline before exporting 🤣
spiff completely oblivious to the enormous spiff ball scam in the end was hilarious
Can we talk about Foxy with glasses ? Its like the best thing that could happen to him !
For the record, SawStop doesn't destroy the table. It will likely ruin the sawblade, and the SawStop brake will need replacing, but that's a low price to pay for saving a finger, limb, or life.
Spiff gave us time to reflect on ourselves for 2 minutes at the end
34:43 hey spiff, not sure if you heard of a game called "Bloody Nights". It's a fanmade fnaf that is actually pretty fun as well as being able to do or see some pretty neat stuff after beating its base game

the help text at the start is how it should be done. you can read it at your own pace and if you want you an skip through the whole thing if you like trial and error. amazing.
34:11 if you're interested, there's a fangame called "The Return to Bloody Nights" which has a "real time" challenge. Fairly fun fangame too.
love that part at 38:00 so inspiring
34:07 You could name it "8 Hours at Freddy's" and make it a 1 Night game like Flumpty's, reason being that the main character just quits after night 1 due to having to fight for their life for 8 hours.
Don’t forget all the other games this dev has made. Let to rot is a masterpiece. And so is this
The last 20 seconds of this video is the most fire 20 seconds ever uploaded to CZcams 🔥🔥🔥
Seeing the chat totally not understand the writers strike was pretty funny

In regards to the FNAF movie coming out in theatres as well as on a streaming service, like. The issue with actors not getting residuals from streaming companies should be something that the streaming companies themselves should be regulated on and that's why actor's are still on strike from what I've heard(?) but, like. Aside from that, I'd honestly much prefer more joint theatre and streaming releases? I'm disabled, I physically cannot go to watch movies in the theatre so I often just have to wait for a movie I really want to watch to eventually come out on a streaming service or something else. One hand, this has largely meant that fomo just doesn't affect me at all because I physically can't go watch the movie, I _have_ to miss out but it also means I just can't really discuss movies as they come out, I've usually missed the train of discussing them by the time I can actually do so and that kinda sucks.
Plus, going on Twitter and seeing people bitch because the fnaf movie was getting a joint release almost solely because they thought the movie wouldn't make as much money is just. Annoying. Like, it's FNAF by Blumhouse, it was gonna make back it's budget regardless. The worst case scenario is the movie just doesn't do as well as expected and they don't make another one
8:14 I mean, for a budget-constrained restaurant, blocking the conveyor there *does* make sense to overload the power. A cheap way you could do it is add brakes but not cut power to the motor, causing the motor to draw HUGE amounts of amps to try to get it moving again, and as soon as you release the brakes it starts going. So if you cheap out, yes, it does make sense for the conveyor to be worse stopped than not.
Hello Spiff, love your videos! I CAUGHT YOUR STREAM YAY
Guys. They had to sell the rights to stream the movie to Peacock, and sell the rights to play it in theaters.
You can look it up, the FNAF movie has ALREADY MADE MORE THAN ITS BUDGET in just those sales alone
It will be fine.

@@loafiotemporary1757 yes, it releases on the 27th
I'm wondering where people outside of America, like myself, are going to be able to watch it before it comes on TV in a decade. I imagine Peacock is region locked and not everybody uses VPNs to be semi-seas.
And I can't hear in cinemas so I need subtitles which only online services or TV provide. On a good day.
Maybe I'll just have to wait the decade for it to come on TV that random 2am Monday night in May.
