      @@JB-324there are various accessibility options in (certain) phones. For some people they would need higher contrast, for others bigger letters and there are options for reading outlook texts. Some phones even have the option for typing in brail where specific sections represent each dot and there in easy places for a person can simply swipe in the correct code for each letter/symbol they need.
      If they're watching on a computer, some are set to also read outlook and have external brail reading nodes attached to make things even easier.
      It depends on the person, what type of blindness or sight impairments they have, what they can physical get their hands on to help navigate.

  • @purplelover
    @purplelover Před 7 měsíci +1

    One thing you need to remember though when using a slate and stylist is that in order for your braille to come out correctly you need to write each word or letter backwards. So if you were going to write the word knowledge you would write dots four and six instead of one and three. Also a braille eraser does work well, but it doesn't completely erase everything. The original dot or dots are still there. They are just pressed down and if you do not erase correctly, you will still be able to feel the mistake. I know when I was taking this course in college on how to read Braille with your eyes and write it our teacher told us that we were not allowed to erase anything. If we made a mistake, we had to discard the entire piece of paper and write it all over again.

      I would say iphone or ipad. In the accessibility settings you can turn on braille input. It supports both contracted and un-contracted. Used in conjunction with a bluetooth earpiece to hear the talkback or voiceover from the phone or tablet, it’s probably the most cost effective method outside of purpose built braille computers. Android on the other hand still felt a bit clunky the last time i tried but it’s finally almost caught up to apple’s accessibility features. If electronics aren’t an option, slates also exist in other line variants. I’ve seen whole page and index card slates in addition to the more common four line slates shown in the video here.

I cannot feel the difference and I cannot feel the difference between one bunk and four button, unless I directly compare 1 bump to 6, so I cannot tell the difference between far too many different variations of how many bumps, and where they are failed, and in many cases, I can not even feel any anything
