Hi mate, been watching your videos as I’ve been working on the yakuza series, I’ve 100% 0-7 and I’ve gotta say, your videos have been a great help, especially on 0! On this smithing topic specifically, I have a few pointers that you missed out on that will make this dreadful experience (possibly the worst shit I’ve ever seen in any video game I’ve ever played) less dreadful. So if anyone comes across this comment, please heed my words.
First of all, you do not need to use silver hammers when you’re crafting your stonecarvers, iron hammers will serve the same purpose to progress the seed, and they are much cheaper and more easily accessible as you can buy them in the smith.
Secondly, when actually trying to apply the seal, you are correct that the seal with the same percentage will always either fail or succeed, but seals operate on the same fail/success system as the stonecarvers. For example, let’s say you have 2 seals of the same percentage of 85%, if you apply them both to the same item and one fails and one succeeds, that means that the first seal is one successful seal away from being able to be applied. Using junk seals that have 100% chance to apply on random items will progress the seed of not only that seal you are trying to apply but also any other seal of varying percentage. So basically, if you apply a 100% seal to any item, armor or weapon, doesn’t matter, the seal that you were trying to apply earlier that failed will now be guaranteed to succeed. Using seals of the same percentage is not needed to progress the seed of that percentage.
I know you probably wish you knew this when you were doing it because I can’t even begin to imagine not only attempting to craft a desired seal and it constantly not giving it to you but having to craft this elusive seal several times just for the seed to progress. My god, I feel bad for you. I know the struggle and the pain and the boredom. Anyways, sorry for the long winded comment, I hope this helps anyone that reads it, and as always, thanks for the videos. I really appreciate your work and I’m sure many others do as well

Legit good video as usual. I understand using the seed system & how to manipulate it etc. However, i do have 2 qs regarding seals
1) What is the method to get the seals to CHECKOFF in the seals section in the completion list (45 required). I got some random seal from a certain sword/armor. But somehow in the completion list the seal section still remains nothing?
2) In terms of enhancing seals, how does it work again? Suppose if i wanted to put a W seal with 80% success and it fails. Does that mean i have to sacrifice
A) 1 of the W seal first, so that the second time W seal will be success OR
B) ANY seal to make it fail, but the success rate MUST BE THE SAME as W seal, so that second time W seal will be success?

Thanks for the comment, always appreciated, good questions to ask, on the first question - to get the seal to register on the completion list you need to craft it onto a weapon or armour I think, then it goes on to the list, I would save before trying that though, if it fails, just restart and then use a 100 % seal and then save again and try again , make sure you have upgraded the armoury to 20 as well as that helps % a little i think.
with regards to 2 same as above, save it before hand, if it fails use a different seal on a throw away weapon and then save and try again until it works, as far as I can gather if it was 80% and it failed I think all 80% fail at that point until the rng is reset - I can't remember 100% as it's been a while but I think your 2nd point only applies to obtaining seals from crafting the weapons, in terms of enhancing I think I am correct with the above (I Hope!) just make sure you save on separate saves before hand and test that theory, hopefully that helps a bit, pain of a trophy to get! best of luck with it!
Do Defense status total on equipment screen always active. For Example, I have Gun with all the Defense Seals I them. Total is 50. Equipment earn defense is 650. On bottom total Defense is 700. My question is what if I use swords instead of Gun. Would total Defense go down to 650 instead of 700 or seals are always active even Though weapons are not Euquiped?
As far as I am aware the seals don't stack effects if you use the same ones but I could be wrong, they definitely are not active when they are not equipped, thanks for the comment and hope you have a good time with the game!

Hello I need some help I am down to the last 2 seals that I need for the 100% one is youshiyuki and on the brink problem for me is. i noticed that there is 2 on the brink seals on the completion list and I got one but the other one wont register what do I do please help.

hey, no worries, with the Brink ones, one is a square seal and one is a sphere seal, which one do you still need to get? Yoshiyuki is roughhh as its pure rng, dungeon mission 3-4, Rescue the Kidnapped Official 1. You basically have to keep playing that until you get a yoshiyuki that has the seal of repentance unlocked on it so not with the 4 prongs around the seal, I got pretty lucky with it but yeah keep playing that mission and fingers crossed you will get the yoshiyuki needed, once you get it, save the game, then go to disassemble which gives you the unlocked seals, then save again, have to then get it into a weapon or amour, best of luck with it
Ok thx for the reply so I got the youshiyuki seal and now i only have the on the brink one left and I found out that is the armor one seal i need so here comes the next question witch armor item will drop the on the brink armor one

I've been trying for hours to drop the Dragonslayer Talisman and I'm still missing a lot of stuff to craft, there are probably a lot of items with terrible drop ratings that I need besides this one, but it's too frustrating, my hand is already hurting from pressing buttons in the dungeons.
I can't remember the specifics on the Dragonslayer Tali is that not craft able? Some stuff is really rare in drops, but if it can be crafted it's easier, seals were ruthless for me but most can now drop in fights I think which helps a lot, if you have any specific questions I can try to guide you in the right direction, thanks for the comment!
@@ragnarhenchbrok this shitty talisman, from what i've seen, only drops in a few phases in the dungeons, i need it to make some katana. for now i'm going to keep crafting the easier items, i've got 100 more to go and about 20 heat actions for 100%, but thanks dude, if i have any questions about the seals later i'll come back here :D
@@canaldogunner4946 ah I see, yes I would definitely mix it up if possible, if you still have other stuff to do, makes it less boring, oh you mean Dragonslayer sword right, I remember the platinum filings and chunks taking a while, eye of the dragon was pretty rare too but keep at it, you'll get them eventually
dude, i think that's the end of me, because i thought that the exclusive seals dropped with a simple dissemble and that i didn't need all this stuff. i've already crafted practically all the weapons, now i'm supposed to do it all over again to get these seals? ffs
I did pretty much the same thing aha, apparently the drop rate is better now in fights so you will probs get them as you fight around town for the most part, check out the golden sneak grind as well, also the dungeons have a few more now if you look at dungeon drops, should only be a few that are weapon based, I would get a list of the ones you need/already have done, think cyricz or powerpyx will have it written, just tick off what you have, but yeah it was a nightmare, I'd recommend breaking it up with some dungeon and other grind stuff because there is just loads to grind in that game unfortunately, I understand if you can't be bothered though aha it wasn't fun at all, best of luck to you!

@@canaldogunner4946 10 ain't too bad, do you understand the chance based system, how it is fixed on one result? I tried to explain it but it's difficult to explain aha hopefully you get some luck
@@ragnarhenchbrok at first I was scared thinking I'd have to craft most of the expensive weapons again to get the seals, but for now it's been easy enough to deal with the rng, let's see for the last remaining seals
@@canaldogunner4946 for the most part I think you only need like mid tier ones, for the crafting to get seals but yeah any specific issues I'll try and help with, powerpyx guide is really useful on it though
