I miss this show .my favorite is Donna Mills Abby I love the villain.i even got my mom to get me her style when I was in middle school.tjis takes me back
@@loriryan2045 she and Julie Harris were both let go due to a budget cut.Poor Constance basically had nothing to do on the show. The big juicy parts went to Donna Mills, Lisa Hartman, Joan Van Ark and Michelle Lee. That left Constance Mc Cashing with nothing to do.I LOVE 💗💗💗💗 Constance McCashin a lot. Also Julie Harris.Later on they added to many characters on the show which I thought was a bit unfair.I miss both ladies a lot.😢😢.
Lol. That movie really suffers because both female leads were obviously written by Clint to kowtow and bow down to his macho persona. Campy movie, but fun i guess. Chauvinist for sure.
This is when the show started to veer away from the cul-de-sac feeling. I liked how Laura got in way over her head here trying to “get a piece of the pie”.
@robertscott8344 yes, compared to today, they were mild. Passive evil. Today the just put a hit, or shoot, or poison people they don't like. Much more malevolent
Constance McCashin performance is great here. She played a strong supporting role. Constance was an anchor or sort. Without her the series deteriorated.
That man telling Karen that her daughter would call to cancel lunch, that her mechanic who leave work early and her brother in New York would call with good news…..that’s so freaking scary. Who was that man?
The storylines did get weaker as the show progresses. After Abby left, they couldn't find another villain quite like her and they tried. I love this show so much. Please reboot this show!
That's why they brought Abby back in the final season, she was behind the deal to take over the Sumner Group. Nick Schillachi worked for Abby. He was dating Anne Matheson.
Abby had another brother named Paul ,,his son apeared in one episode when he came to stay with abby and sid before sids death he was named Paul jnr. , there was thought once of writing in a sister for Abby that she never knew about but the writers didnt do it ... Heather Locklear and Heather Thomas were considered for the part but nothing came of it !!
personally from season 3 to 10 it was absolutely great; from the 11th to the 14th season (except the last two or three episodes) it became less and less exciting
+T James But it had to lose that, or at least expand outside of that. It was going nowhere when the stories revolved around just happenings in the cul-de-sac. The only storyline from that era that had legs was Abby's affair with Gary, but unless the show was willing to have every couple sort of do the Bob Alice Ted Carol thing, how far can you take that sort of plot? I don't think they delved into too many business storylines. And this one, with the Wolfbridge Group, was great in that it involved most all the players. They even found a way to get Val involved in this one at the end, even though she had no real connection to Wolfbridge (other than being a neighbor/ex-wife to those who were). The next season, Empire Valley wasn't as strong or compelling a story, but within it, they were able to weave the Val-baby-kidnapping storyline, arguably Knots Landing's most remembered and watched plot.
Thanks to Jock Ewing Gary's inheritance what gave him soberity to start fresh with his own business lotus point development if not Abby would have wanted the file a devorce.
I miss this show so much ❤️
The best soap in history! The only one I watched on the edge of my seat. Actually the only one I ever watched.
this was a great storyline, very twisty and showed how power hungry Abby was.
That's why she didn't never let the Ewing name go because it stood for power and Gary money gave her the way to climb the ladder.

Constance McCashin was an awesome powerhouse actress. Unreal that she was let go.
I was extremely upset that she was let go. She is an powerhouse actress as you said.I wish they kept her on longer.
I heard that she was let go to save money. I was pretty surprised about that. I liked her as one of the main characters in Knots Landing.

Ben seems a little high strung here!
This was Season Five of Knots Landing. My Favorite Of all Fourteen Seasons Of the Series!
KL had the best villains, and Mark St. Claire was definitely one of them.
I would love a box set of the entire series. Wish they would make one!
i read that its on ioffer.com or you can get it at boxset.com even though theyre dvds inside a cd case looking thing to where they look bootleg to me
Right and Dallas too.
Knots was the best
Abby was the best bad girl on TV back in the day.
Hard to believe this is the same Donna mills that was in play misty for me.
And Jessica Walter too.!!..XD
She looked more like a Florence Henderson back then not beautiful.

Was this after that episode piece of the pie?
Abby just got away with all sorts of awful things like J.R on Dallas
They made the shows Donna had strings on how far she could take her role but hagman gave it his All no matter what he took it on.

I agree one hundred percent.I loved Laura. It's a shame she was let go due to budget cuts.
@@montygreen6228well producers didn't seem to think so or why they didn't let someone else go?
Seasons 5-6 were 🔥🔥🔥
Mark st claire season 5's heavy but with more of a mafia thing then a chip jill or danny
This was much than just a villain got trouble on their hands this the Mafia the killing game.
Abby had two brothers, Sid and one never named.
paul

Mark St Clair. Michele was great in that scene. So much suspense.

Kathleen Noone had some great moments as a villian.
I Loved Ben,and I loved Ben and Val together.

that would not be possible because abby's mother died when she was a little girl. which pretty much explains what drove her.
Too be tough and be a woman not some vulnerable naive person falling helpless in love 💕?
I disagree. This season: season 5 was it's best one!
personally from season 3 to 10 it was absolutely great; from the 11th to the 14th season (except the last two or three episodes) it became less and less exciting
I wish they could have had abby's mother on the show to figure what maybe drove her like she did?
She married too young and wanted more out of life.
Abby is the Sue Ellen of K.L.
Right but Sue Ellen got married and got taken with an deceitful husband but she got tough like Abby and took charge of her life as well.
Did Greg just take a book in the bathroom with him?
I thought it looked like he was going for a shit too, yea. Same thing you thought. Haha.
This is where KL started to lose its "community" feel and started to delve into too many business storylines.

@Sebastian Sutton I agree one hundred percent with the teaming of Laura and Abby for a season. That is indeed PRICELESS.
