- Yup, today is my birthday, and I just got my S2000! I've owned one before and love them! I talk about how the S2000 drives vs my Abarth 124 Spider. The plan is to enjoy it stock for a bit (most likely a very short bit lol), then some very light mods, and hopefully keep the S2000 long term and possibly boost it in the future. I have owned an ‘02, ‘03’ ‘05 and ‘07 S2K…amazing cars!….but my current ‘21 MX-5 RF BBR is my favorite sports car, and I have own a lot of sports cars since 1970. That includes a ‘70 Mach 1, a ‘73 Vette, a Supra, a 300ZX, the (4)S2Ks…and (6) different Miatas since my 2001 SE BRG/Nardi. Love your channel!
When I had my it was a daily for 3 years before it got totaled. I put 50k miles on it in the 3 years. Went trough few different looks and wheels. Loved that vtec. Still miss it. Hopefully will get one soon again.

You can daily drive almost any car as long as the maintenance is up to date and how much it cost to daily it.
I'd say the Prelude owners did you a favor. While the S2000 is not as impressive on paper now as it was upon its release, the core personality of the car remains intact and is what makes for a memorable driving experience. It's not just the engine or the gearbox, the rear wheel drive or the handling, but how all of these things come together when in use. That's not to say that the S2000 suits everyone's taste, no car does. But Honda S cars dating back to the 60's are special and uniquely representative of what Honda once was.
As somebody in this industry that’s a $50,000 car with that mileage
And that's why I decided to grab it after getting the run around from Prelude sellers...spent nowhere near that and prices will only go up lol This is one of the rare cars that you can basically drive for free and is actually an investment as they are almost guaranteed to keep appreciating.

When it came out = SOOO HOT
After 2-3 years = Finds out it's expensive to make more HP
After 5 years = bored, more and more people have it, not that special anymore
After 10 years = BORING, they're are better new cars coming out
After 15 years = Hmmm, they're becoming rare
After 23 years = HOT COLLECTOR'S CAR because most are totaled out and there are few on the road.
I love torque. I have 350 ft lbs at idle and 604 at 3800 😂. It’s addicting.
