The Last of Us Part II is a 2020 action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. Set five years after The Last of Us (2013), players control 19-year-old Ellie, who comes into conflict with a mysterious cult in a post-apocalyptic United States. The game contains survival horror elements and is played from a third-person perspective. Players can use firearms, improvised weapons, and stealth to defend against enemies and cannibalistic creatures infected by a mutated strain of the Cordyceps fungus. - Hry
in a small table next to Joel's bed, there are glasses and a book about astronomy, indicating that Joel wanted to connect more to Ellie by learning about the planets and the space, that almost made me cry :(
Stop please this is so sad.. 😢
Wow.. ;((
I was crying my heart out, when I saw this it only made me cry even more
Man when she started to sing Joel's song "If i ever were to lose u" always made me sad..😔
And seeing his fucking cereal bowl on the kitchen table was really humbling as well. It really gave you a sense of his loneliness.
You missed Joels Jacket in his house. You can find his OG jacket in the closet and its a super touching moment in the game.
Dude I was already crying before that and then I saw it and was fucking bawling
Dalton Moen pathetic, man
visceralguts if you’re trying to make me mad, you’re not.
@@daltonmoen1404 hey that part of the game man I had to pause it man this parr broke me. I was crying at the grave and this also reminded me of when I've discovered The Last of Us it was after a family member died I actually had to pause the game a little while at the grave yard part right before we get to Joel's house.
Mais this game really had load of thing that made it so good man.
Its touching indeed, so was the golf club on Joel's brain
When Ellie ran into traps with Dina she references a crazy guy (Bill) who “boobytrapped a whole town”
He literally did though.
Yh i caught that too lol hes from the first game isn’t he?
@@adamski749 yes he was
Hehe, booby.
If you throw a brick in the traps before Dina, Ellie will say, "I saw Joel do it"
Funny that it is necessary to disarm one of the traps with a brick to advance in the first game.
WORTH MENTIONING. When you first control Abby, and get to the dinner room with all the Wolves people, if you go to one of the groups having lunch; you can hear them talking about a franchise of books about a young wizard that goes to a magical boarding school. They also mention the appearance of a Dark Lord, and that it is worth reading. It was cool.
Really? Sad I missed this x)
WAIT WHAT I MISSED A HARRY POTTER REFERENCE
@@georgia2417 yep, can confirm. it was pretty cool!
One of the best thinks about this game is that they still have culture like songs and books. So cool
Which bench was it
When she sang take on me it was just so peaceful
Yeah I wanted to include the whole song as the outdo but it was copyright claimed 😒
Captain Eggcellent ahh that sucks man but still he was the most peaceful part of the game it was kinda like Ellie has forgotten what happen and was just enjoying the moment with Dina you could hear it in her voice she wasn’t angry but she was calm and happy for once her mind taken off about what happen
That was one of my favourite scenes in the whole game and it's even missable, what a masterpiece
TheNickness yeah most scenes like that can often be missed by people who just rush through
I know!! It was touching
There's a wall in the aquarium on which you can see the names of the people who supported the aquarium by becoming members.
The Platinum members are all employees of naughty dog
Cool, I read those names and thought it would've been nice if they were like the most loyal fans' names, but developers' names are cool too
I thought that might be right but I never bothered to check, to busy trying to get my name up on the board and seduce Owen.
Spoiler Easter Egg: When you take control of Adult Abby for the third time, in the first cutscene right before you play as her you can find her reading City of Thieves, which was an inspiration for the original game
I noticed that but not knowing the book I thought it was made up for the game like many other things lol, gotta do some research I guess
Oh wait, I saw the main character is called Lev, like the serafite kid in TLOU 2!
That's a cool little detail
Abby's lent the Count of Monte Cristo to a WLF guardsman and at some point Ellie makes reference to Point Break starring Keanu Reeves.
I put that same comment on gameranx's video like a week ago (with my PC account) and it got like 10 likes, this got heaps and it it pretty much word for word. Gg.
I killed her every chance I got
there’s a part in the dinosaur area when ellie finds a hero card and joel references pokémon
Wait what? I need a video of that
True , also Jurassic Park references without even mentioning the name of the movie were awesome
TheNickness h20 delerious has it in his video. he didn’t point it out but i heard it. he said something like “oh like those little monster things?”
It's when Ellie asks if Sarah is into those "card things". Joel replied yes but those "little monsters". It's a reference to Pokemon TCG
In the record shop where Ellie plays Take On Me there is a poster for a Pearl Jam album which is the same album that includes Future Days
What a song I feel connected too it because of the meaning behind in this game now.
I guess a most accurate reason is that album was released in 2013 and that pearl jam is from Seattle ;)
IS THAT A JOJO REFERENCE?
@@raddicide please dont ruin this comment
Easter Egg: Playing as Ellie, when in the bank in downtown Seattle, Dina mentions a movie she saw about a bunch a surfer bank robbers. This is a reference to the famous movie Pointbreak with Keanu Reeves.
in abby's part manny said something about drinking and watching anime, after a couple encounters he talks about a movie with a girl riding a wolf and i think its a reference to " Princess Mononoke " (anime)
💡
YEP, so cool
I noticed that, too! That was my personal favorite reference since Princess Mononoke’s one of my favorite movies!
What about when Ellie was trying to find Nora, and she was listening to “It was a good day” by Ice Cube
Copyright probably. But I agree, I was sitting in the vent jamming out
Is it really an Easter Egg?
Thats not even a easteregg
@@smuketherealbigboyman I didn't say it was an Easter egg, I was asking if it was
I just chilled and let it play for a second
In Joel's house, he's been carving a bucking horse and cowboy. This is in reference to the Wyoming state logo, due to Jackson being in Wyoming.
Kinda hurt after seeing that. He wasn’t able to finish it
Oh i thought that was a reference of him for being from Texas XD
I mean Joel also had a crapload of paintings of ranch hands and Native Americans with/on horses
Also their college football teams logo
we just gonna ignore that the dog that Ellie pats is the same dog that chilled in Tommy's dam in thou1
Its kinda basic and hard to miss
Buckley
When I first finished that bit in the first one I wondered if the dog made it, seeing him in this one made me happy lol
The Last of Us Wiki says that the status of Buckley is unknown.
Yeah I noticed that too!
The room that Tommy tortures the wlf soldiers in, in the Serevena hotel, shares the same room number as the room with the naked hag ghost in the Overlook hotel from The Shinning novel. 217
🤯🤯🤯
Damn dude that’s actually really creepy
Details: when playing as new character if you pan camera down, the camera will zoom in, shake, and she'll react due to fear of height.
RICKY XIONG I did that just for fun when I played as her
@@NotLoZerish do you used photo mode to look at her face? I did and OMG! I exploded in laughter
RICKY XIONG for me when I did it Abby always looked like she was about to pass out if you stared down long enough
@@evaldasjonaitis3524 YES! In mine her eyes clipped through her eyelids and her mouth wide as hell it was hilarious
@@arshiasamadi2271 yes, that's the face she makes
You can find the book “No pun intented” in the farm house.
Totally missed that! I have to go back and look for it
And in her room in the beginning of the game
As Abby, when making your way from the aquarium to the hospital to get the surgeonsupplies, you pass a dungeons and dragons table. This is a homage I believe to the voice actors of both Ellie (Asley Johnson) and Abby (Laura Bailey), who are fervent D&D players in the weekly stream "Critical Role".
The one I found!!
that’s what i thought too!!! i got so happy when i saw that
Not to mention Matthew Mercer, Travis Willingham, Talisen Jaffe, Marisha Ray and Sam Riegel! They’re all in the game 😁
I think the penis drawings @7:42 are a reference to Laura Bailey's Jester in the M9 campaign.
Unless I'm wrong about the timing for this game & that campaign.
Can't wait for part 3 where the bunny's mother comes back for revenge
Lmaoo!
naughty dog should really hire you
Lmao
What about the son of the soldier that killed Sarah and later got killed by Tommy?
Hahaha!!!
The person's name that owned the bow that you can acquire as Ellie, is a reference to Chernobyl series as the lead writer is also hired to write for the Last of us tv show coming on HBO
do you have a link of that? i really want to see it
Wait what there's gonna be a tv show for this game what??? I don't believe that
@@alexissupernaturalfan5338 It's been confirmed and all over social media bro. There has even been official casting announced look it up
I don't know if I'm right but the house were Ellie and Dina live, try looking at the windows they kind of look like the window in the menu screen.
I thought maybe at the very end the shot of the window with the curtain blowing was a reference to the first games menu screen
It was actually supposed to be that. It was an ode or it was how the guitar got there.
Trueee
There is a city in the background of you look close enough at the sill in the first game. Maybe not, maybe it is and I am wrong, nice detail.
The boat on the main menu is from the final area of this game.
One thing that I found important was the a reference to a possible trilogy. In the aquarium we notice a wall that has well drawn giraffe (1st game), semi done zebra (2nd game) and an outline childish drawing of a lion (3rd game) in development.
This one gives me hope. Thank you
After all the backlash from this I doubt naughty dog would do a third it might have been planned but I don’t think they will go through with it sadly
ethanhall109 everyone bitched about uncharted 3, too, until uncharted 4 rolled around. The best is yet to come.
ethanhall109 The Last of Us 2 is now the best selling game on PS4 ever. If Naughty Dog doesn’t make a third game, it’ll be because they don’t have another story to tell, not because of any backlash or poor sales.
kind of a stretch but i can see it
One Easter Egg I've found, that through some extensive research I've found I'm possibly the only one who's found it, is that Kenny from Telltale's The Walking Dead game is at the FOB compound on Seattle Day 1 with Abby.
He's wearing his green jacket, baseball cap, with the same VA, and he's talking about finding so many boats on his order list to a group of people. I thought it was so funny.
No way!! I’ll have to look for that next time
The girl that is talking to him is the same voice actor that voices clementine so it’s Kenny and clementine
you missed the fact that you can crack safes by listening to the clicking
Really? Never caught that. You must have an amazing ear lol
mysticxorchid x it’s fun to open it using the sound.
yeah when I found the first safe I didn’t know you had to find codes so for basically the whole game I was listening for clicks lmao
thats more of a game mechanic but still worth a mention
I only ever open the safes like this, proper authentic and a stunning detail
The dog in Jackson is the same one you can pet in Last of Us 1 at the power plant I think. Same breed, she calls it "old timer" which kind of indicates time has past, you pet both of them. Make sense to me.
I had that thought too. But the dog in the first part was already pretty old so there's a good chance it's a different one but it's nice to run with (:
i remember buckley
Named after troys old dog
@@gerritbosch5269 well thats a fun fact
"That's Buckley. Not much of a guard dog, but he's nice to have around."
When playing as ellie on day one in Seattle you can come across a a building that reads "bank of meridian". A nod to Horizon:Zero Dawn.
Can't wait for the second game. Late 2021 ):
Oh yeah, I was sure it was an Easter egg but couldn't put my finger on where I saw a city called Meridian.
Oh I didnt spot that That!
That could also be a nod to the voice actress of Mel, who also is the voice of Aloy as well :D
The song that Ellie listens to when Joel brings her the gee-tarr is "Through the Valley" by Shawn James which is the song she sang in the reveal trailer.
the most unbelievable thing in the game is that they have Jurassic Park and never showed it to the kids
Honestly. 😂
Wasn't there a studio ghibli reference when Manny was talking about a Girl that rides the wolf... Princess mononoke anyone
I noticed this too! Absolutely loved it
Same! And yes it was princess mononoke.
YESS DUDE, MANNY WAS A LEGEND
There's an Easter egg that's literally an easter egg. It's like a golden egg with uncharted symbols but I forgot which part
Not Uncharted
Jak and Daxter!
Thats jak & daxter
Uncharted 3 drake's deception you find it in the underground den
Echoing the other comments. I'm guessing you're referring to the "strange relic" which has been in (I think) every Uncharted game too.
That’s the precursor orb from jak and daxter, they put it in many games
I loved everything about this game. Thought the story was great.
It left me questioning who was the "goodies" and who was the "baddies"... I found myself supporting Abby and disliking Ellie when she was chasing us in the thetre but then I fell backin love with Ellie when we begin to play as her again when she is with Dana. Its so beautifully written.
that might be the point. there are no goodies or baddies. you play and kill because you think it is right and justified. the villain is just the hero from the other side.
Are you on crack?
Mechanics, graphics and the added exploration were great. But the story, as far as I am concerned this is just Ellie's car dream.
@@v0rt3x41 no need to be rude. Have opinions and disagree politely and we can all get along 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😉
PsiKore Tekk -great summary. I think it’s the pointlessness of the cycle of revenge as the two participants lose everything by the end. The beach fight between the two near identical characters shows how they’ve become alike one another.
@@ThePsikore thats what makes it brilliant :)
When i played it i thought eugene was a refrence to the walking dead- as they were both tech savy and kinda creeps. they also find a pic of him and he looks similar
i was so sad when he yk i’ve always liked him for some reason
THE_DANCING_ KOKO I would say spoilers but no one even watches the walking dead anymore
@@fro_e That statement is very wrong
@@the_dancing_koko7663 he what? he isn't dead
Also we know that he grew weed which make him Eugene Stoner , also a guy who designed the M16 rifle. Which , the whole act is just a commercial for a arm company
Imagine a scene where Joel plays never gonna give you up to Rick roll everyone who bought the game
would be a better ending than what we've got.
g o l f
un tipico stormtrooper Joel doesn’t like golf as much...👀
The ending for pirated copies.
un tipico stormtrooper ok
In reference to the song Joel sings, when Ellie goes into Joel's house you can go into his 'crafts' room (with all the wooden statues and guitars) and she will write down lyrics from the second verse of the song.
Jak and Daxter literally gets more love in an apocalypse then in the real world. RIP Naughty Dog.
They are hinting at a new jack and darter game
Alex_Perezident brought back ratchet and clank a new Jak & Dexter game is long overdue
RIP ND why? Their game is breaking record after record
Never thought that you had such a soothing voice until you started giving voiceovers.
You missed a Finding Nemo reference when you're playing as Abby and enter the aquarium for the first time. If you look at the types of fish in the first few tanks you find, one of them has the same type of fish as Marlin and Dory, and the other has the same fish as the ones in the dentist's aquarium.
I think that right before you tortured Nora, you could hear gunshots in the background very subtly. While what I assumed originally was happening, was the WLF Soldiers fighting infected (since I left them to fight), I also heard when I killed them all. Maybe it was Abby fighting the Rat King? It was confirmed that Abby was fighting the Rat King when Ellie was chasing down Nora.
So nora lied about abby being in the aquarium?
I’ve got two more for you:
Sarah, Joel’s daughter, forgets to give Joel his b-day card. It has a trex and a joke about fossils.
Also, Ellie says if she had to have a job she wants to be an astronaut. Tlou1
So is the card in the second game?
Jackson Glassey no, but in a flashback scene they go to a museum for Ellie’s birthday, where she calls him a fossil. It’s a nice little link
Joel: There was a sequel, Wasn't as good
Me: Good point Joel Good point
Preety sure Joel meant that for this game
STOP CALLING THE GAME BAD JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT HAPPENED👍🙃😉
Aaron Cutter I do not agree with your opinion. However, I respect it. The game has its faults, no doubt about it, but the game is not terrible. I enjoyed the storyline for what it was, not what it could’ve been. I may not have liked some of the things that happened in it, though it still came out to be just fine to me.
@@FauxKallisto the storyline is actually bad
@@DarkAttackYT story is bad, gameplay is boring and mediocre, and characters are poorly written
7:48 I’m sure that probably references super bad, tbh some of those look like the drawings he drew in the movie
They are drawings of the game developers wieners
8:24 pretty sure that`s banjo, but it`s just me being nitpicky
Its a banjo-guitar a hybrid of the two. It has six strings (like a guitar while a banjo has four) and a banjo body.
@@markonovakovic6762 Maybe.
@@user-th4pp7jb3p Trust me, i'm a musician
@@markonovakovic6762 so a bass that has six strings (like a guitar) is a bass-guitar? or it's still a bass.
There is a Point Break dialogue reference in the bank as well.
When Ellie and Dina talk about what movies Joel likes, she mentions: "Curtis and Snake", a Commando-Ninja combo that fights Alien Space Ghosts (yep, that checks out).
Supposedly, Snake is 10-15 years old.
Curtis = Kratos
Snake = Atreus (or rather... SPOILERS: Loki, who in mythology is connected closely to the World Serpent)
Ellie also mentions she can't wait to watch the sequel to the first movie.
Easter egg: when your in Joel’s house when going up or down the stairs there’s a painting of John Marston from read dead redemption
Hearing the acoustic Take on Me makes me immediately think of the season finale of The Magicians and now I'm off to binge watch it again
"See, there was a sequel. wasn't as good" BRUUH joel mvp
The game is self aware its brilliant
Nicola Bianchi How ironic
Lol I didn’t even think of it that way
I was just about to comment this LUL he knew
Part 2 is great. ..
I wish they continued the story off Ish :’(
I half expected to find something about him at the coastal areas.
The Last of Us offers many story ideas. They can't end the universe with Part II. We still have the first 20 years after the outbreak that could tell a lot of stories. What happened to Joel after Sarah's death e.g.
@@CrusardModdingso do I
I thought Ish's fate was sealed in that underground tunnel that Joel, Ellie, Sam and Henry pass through. Or am I missing something? Because I know Kyle was the one who was found with the note saying that he was bit and trapped with the kids, once Infected had got into the tunnel, but there was no indication that Ish had made it out to safety, at least, not from what I've discovered in each of my playthroughs.
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!
The dog you pet before you see the Gustavo guy in the chair is the same dog you see at Tommy’s in the first game
When you're close to Nora in hospital you will hear playing Ice Cube song It was a good day
I actually Shazammed the song knowing it was some real shit ahahah
Spoiler Alert:
At the WLF Headquarters when Abby gets her dog (Alice) she also meets another dog named Bear which Ellie kills during a previous fight
lol yeah I remember when I killed the dog and the WLF was like "They killed Bear!" Only when I played as Abby that I realized that it's her Dog :(
What about the Ice Cube song that one guard is listening when you infiltrate as Ellie on the ventilation ducts before chasing Nora?
not sure if its been mentioned already, but there's a note you can find when you're walking with Jesse right around when Dina starts feeling sick and Ellie and Jesse go set off to look for Tommy and get to the aquarium on Day 3, its a reference to Supernatural the TV show. The note talks about a man named Misha (the actor who plays Castiel in the show is Misha Collins) and is signed by Jensen ( i.e. Jensen Ackles who plays Dean Winchester) it was one of my favorite little easter eggs, also totally missable if you don't pick up that specific note
What I would also consider an easter egg is that in the "Left Behind" DLC Ellie asked Skeleteer "Will I ever get to play a video game?", in the 2nd game, when you wake up in her room, you can see a PS3 console, so, clearly, her wish came true.
You cant even shoot the ps3 inside Eugene's hideout, I tried.
You mean like the pointer gets dark gray like when you aim an ally? That's so cool ahahah
You also can’t shoot at candlesticks at the mosque in Seattle. So the game doesn’t allow you to desecrate sacred things which means PS3 is a sacred thing.
I forget exactly where, but at two points in the game you can find a reference to dungeons and dragons while playing as Abby on your way to the scar Bridges. The other point you can find figures referencing Warhammers space Marines.
Been waiting for you to upload something, since the game came out. I love easter eggs and minute details in video games. Love this channel, your voice and oknightzo.....
@1:34 Ellie says, “I’m not a fan” in regards to what she thinks of the Halloween store. Her feelings could be explained by the events of TLO1 DLC, “Left Behind” when Ellie and Riley are attacked and well… you know what happens. Pretty cool attention to detail.
From the *"last of us"* to the *"last of it"*
Haha nooice!
And yet the game is selling like crazy so sooner or later there will be another sequel on the PS5
😮😮
Rem-rem Lazibal yeah just like this game did by selling 4 million copies and breaking sales records.
Frank Allen sales does not mean quality doofus. That means the transformers films are masterpieces you damn shill
Nowadays every pop culture reference is considered an Easter-egg
I mean..isn't that what easter eggs all about
@@vahlepi9613 an easter egg should be (nomen est omen) something u have too look for. these were part of the main story line. i mean ofc a lot of them were legit easter eggs eg. the nathan drake costume etc. but saying that playing take on me is an easter egg is wrong because.. no one was looking for it. so its better to call it a reference. but then again.. who cares what we call it :D
@@mrt6839 But I'd say no ones really 'looking' for Easter eggs unless your following a tutorial. Easter eggs in games are just things the player comes across by chance or being very observant to the world your playing in. I wasn't looking for the 'take on me' moment, and I could have never have seen it unless I saw this video online.
@@mike7887 yeah. Thats exactly what I said in the second half of my comment bro. We agree on that one !
These were good, can’t wait for you to find more and make a second video 👍🏼
There is also a Pearl Jam - Lighting Bolt poster in the Seattle music store. On the way to the hospital, you can also find another Weston’s Pharmacy like the one in Left Behind. There is also an Easter egg in Uncharted 4 to Weston’s Pharmacy.
While Ellie is exploring Seattle (I think), she can find a note from someone named Jensen and it mentions someone named Misha. This is a reference to the TV show Supernatural, which has actors Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins in it. As a huge Supernatural fan, I nearly died when I saw that note! I freaked out 😂 A reference to my favorite show in the sequel to my favorite video game??? Yes please!!! It was so cool!!!
I liked the Sam's robot in Ellie's room, that was the first Easter egg I noticed
Man I love this game, and I’m excited I found some of these on my own!
Okay I'm late but maybe someone will read this
In Tlou Left Behind, Riley wants to show something to Ellie, she says it's a surprise or something like that. Then Ellie asks "Is it a dinosaur ?"
And now in Tlou Part II, when Joel has a surprise for Ellie (going to the museum) Ellie first asks him "It it a dinosaur ?" (and it's actually a dinosaur ahah)
I think it's a funny detail
Fun fact: The turning was actually the original intended title of tue last of us.
Lol, the game was amazing with a beautiful storyline all the way to the end. I absolutely loved the ending because of the meaning behind it. If you didn't like it that is fine but no point in going on about how much you don't like it when there are many of us that adore the hell out of this amazing game
amen bröther
Concuerdo mi pana
👍
It’s so funny how the people who love The Last Of Us 2 always diss the ones who hate while on the other hand the people who hate that trash game applaud at you guys for liking something we didn’t
@@hybridcollection02 actually not, i have commented multiple times about how i liked the game and every single time people say, "your opinion is trash" or "then you are retarded" toxicity exists in both sides, sad
There's also a really cool room in one of the houses you explore when you play as Abby where there's a bunch of D&D stuff. Ashley Johnson and Laura bailey, the actresses who play Ellie and Abby are both in a critical role - a D&D broadcast so I thought it was really cool that they included that in the game
Great video!
That Hotline Miami Easter Egg made me smile the moment I heard Hydrogen by M.O.O.N.
Such a sick track, right?
Honestly so worth the wait what a fantastic game 👌
One of Abby’s friends in the cafeteria (Jordan I think, the one with the Scar on his face from Ellie) is playing the lava level from Jak and Daxter on a PS Vita
Nice one!❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
What's really touching is that if you go to Joel's bedroom after he dies and look on the bedside table you can see reading glasses sitting next to a book titled "An Idiot's Guide to Space" He was trying to learn more about what Ellie liked
That’s actually so sad.
Ellie also mentioned the guy that was drowning Joel in the first game and how she had to shoot him.
In the Museum with Joel and Ellie when he tosses the hat on to the Dinosaurs head seemed to be a nod to the first Last of Us with Joel and Ellie seeing/petting the Giraffe In the window. Really similar looking scenes.
I was smiling up a storm at the Jurassic Park and Pokemon references when i found them today 😁
I was waiting for this
why tho
Cuz I love last of us series
There’s another Easter egg at the bank when they talk about a movie with bank robbing surfers which is a reference to the movie point break
There's a couple of smaller movie references when you play as Abby as well, like Manny mentiones an anime movie he likes with 'the girl who rides the wolf', I assume is a reference to Pricness Mononoke.
You also find a d&d table when you're playing as Abby with Lev - its a bit more obscure but the table and dice trays look A LOT like Wyrmwood products, which might be a nod to the actors involved in the game: Ashley Johnson (Ellie), Laura Bailey (Abby), Matt Mercer (the head prisoner that tells you to find Abby at the beach in California), Travis Willingham (the head Rattler with the ponytail), Marisha Ray, Sam Reigal, Liam Obrian and Talieson Jaffe (all provide minor voice roles within the game) have a d&d group called Critical Role; they use Wyrmwood merch for their campaign.
I've been looking forward to this
When Manny says when we get home I’m going to get drunk and watch a movie, “the one with the girl who rides the wolf” assuming Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke.
To which Abby replies, “oh I love that one.”
Makes perfect sense that the director would be leaning more towards the villain side.
Underneath the toy that Ellie gives to Sam, there’s also a mini version of the arcade game she talks about in both the first game and in the dlc (which you mentioned) :)
In the cutscene before Abby fights Ellie at the theatre Tommy gets shot in the knee by lev with an arrow, this could be a reference to skyrim when all the guards say "I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow to the knee"
I got more enjoyment out of this video than the game itself
When will the skyrim toaster port come out todd?
I've been waiting soooooooo long to play this. I am deeply disappointed and saddened with what happened tho.
Same here, I loved the story though just sad times while playing
Same
@@joeygutierrez3534 although I am loving the combat it is a massive improvement from the first one which I'm glad about. Overall I've enjoyed the 8/9 hours I've played so far it's just that stupid decision that's made me really pissed off.
Captain eggcellent I'm trying my absolute best to find Easter eggs so I can share them I've only found to I already put them in the comments of your newest and last vid good job keep it up
You can find a poster of Pearl Jam's record "Lightning Bolt" in the music store in Seatle. It is the album that features "Future Days", the song Joel plays to Ellie.
I like how Neil Druckmann gave himself three villainous self inserts in the game, reflecting on how horribly he treated the people working on the game :)
Hope you realize pretty much every big studio has abused staff, not excusing naughty dog it’s just nothing new.
@@skinlord2902 It's not a thing in every studio, just way too many. And I never said it was unique to Naughty Dog, I'm just saying it's quite ironic.
and the people playing the game too !
@@skinlord2902 Crunching means poor managing, that's it, go to the GDC or any other place were professionals of this industry talk and that's always the answer, crunching is one thing, you can crunch for a day but making people crunch for days without more pay beacaue of your own ineptitud at producing and directing the game is no excuse.
Does the game have any clues at the end for part III I'm trying to find just to be sure that this beautiful game will get a new part...😍
Nope
There is also a reference to days gone, in capitol hill there is a garage where you can find a safe, tha motorbike and the nest of zombies... its pretty cool
Your voice is so relaxing to listen to
Oh my God, an It, Back to the future and Titanic Easter egg didn't show up. Amazing
That's because they appear in the "Video Game Easter Eggs" series, not in the video focusing on a single game
I'll be back in a couple a days when I've finished the game then I'll watch this.
End it before it gets even more bad
@@kingovhell6 I've already played 8/9 hours and I HATE cliffhangers so I have to finish it. Overall so far I've loved the game. Graphics are amazing, the movements really realistic, deep down its the game I fell in love with 7 years ago (I think it came out in 2013 am I right or wrong?) the combat is a huge improvement from number 1, still got the same infected (I wanted more than just one new one tho. I only know of the shamblers so idk if there's others I've yet to meet) but they just made a massively stupid decision killing Joel in such an unceremonious way. I would have been happier had we been able to play as him more before he died and I wish he had gone out with a fight killing a few of the wlf people at the chalet/ranch house with him. Because of all the hate they've been getting from the games story it would be very good if they made a remastered version where Tommy died and Joel went looking for him and Ellie goes after Joel and Tommy I think this would make people a lot happier.
There is also a cover from the band Pearl Jams Album lightning Volt released in 2013 in the same music store when you head to the second floor to fin the guitar.
The interaction between snow and cable is also interesting
“There was a sequel wasn’t as good.” We still talking about jurassic park joel?
Still absolutely amazing game
Yes, cause Part II was even better than the great TLOU
@@TheNickness no
@@rifqi2733 Yup, if you didn't like it just because they killed Joel and Ellie doesn't kill Abby in the end you probably didn't understand it.
If you didn't like it for other reasons it's okay but you can't tell me to not like it, I love it and you can't do anything about it 😘
@@TheNickness I agree! Every character was fleshed out and everything just made sense. I like how it ends and it seems final in a way. But I can def see another story happening after the closing events.
