You could be telling my story. I left my narc husband last year, after 14 years of hell and him bleeding me dry. I'm so much happier being alone. I can't believe I even made it that long. I left with almost nothing after supporting him for the past 10 years and now I'm trying to rebuild my life. But I'm working on getting ME back. But it was worth losing so much, in order to gain my freedom back. 🙂

I keep coming back to watch this everyday since you put it out. I’m trying to get through it without going to sleep 😩😩 its so entertaining and so relaxing at the same time. So been there tony! Every bit of what you bring up in this talk rings so true. I was married to a narc for 8 years. Even though it's been 5 years since leaving, I still battle with heavy grief over the continuous choice I made to abandon myself in that relationship. I am so proud of you for walking away... NO longer giving away your peace. I've learned how sacred my peace is to me, through this process... The truth about narcissists is you cannot keep what is sacred to you when youre with them
We don't know each other but I'm horrified that I was with my ex for the same amount of time since late teens. Its been 4 years and I still feel bad that I left him. I did some awful things (reactive abuse) and most likely he spread rumours based on some truth that I am the worst thing in the universe in my old hometown. And everyone as a result believed him.
Yet why do I suffer even though I found the love of my life? His mannerisms are similar to my ex minus the abuse. Sometimes it genuinely terrifies me. Yet my bf is nothing but nice. The ex still haunts me in my dreams and childhood.

Side advice?
When you aren't yourself in a relationship for the first 3 months.. this is the person the other guy thinks they're getting. And then when you go and "change" back to your real self 3 months later, it's utter confusion for the other person.
You should ALWAYS be yourself when you meet someone! Then, if it doesn't work out in the first 3 months.. then there's no time wasted. And you'd know right off the bat if they like you and not just your "first 3 month" representative that you sent in.

Dude I swear that’s how relationships with narcissists/people with BPD, etc always go. It starts out super exciting and fun and intense and then it gets really bad really fast and before you know it you’re miserable and they’re aloof the entire time.

Like as if she needed somebody to talk to and I was just there for her listening. But it was you talking, your voice from your video, and I was hanging out with you, just different people in a different era/different planet. It's most likely cause I prior also watched your recent video about seeing your future self in 2050, it was so beautiful though, It felt like I was in the presence of someone I actually knew 🥺

I’m so sorry you had to go through the Libra man treatment for your first real relationship 😥 My first was also a Libra guy (I’m an Aries woman), and that relationship was brutal. It was so much like how you described too: he always had great hair and styled himself nicely… but he was so uptight and proper, couldn’t even mention bathroom stuff, and wanted to socialize every single day/night. I wanted a deeper connection with him, but it turned out he couldn’t actually provide that. Took awhile to get over him, but omg once you find someone who’s really a good match for you, you’ll be so glad you escaped that Libra guy nonsense. It’s like they trap you in some weird spell where you can’t recognize that they’re a crappy boyfriend overall

I’d been meaning to watch this video for quite a while. Especially after I watched your most recent Storytime video a day or two ago. I have a question for you, as regards the disclaimer you have about this video. Even though you say this video is not factual, is it based on things that happened to you in real life? Hope I’m not being too forward here. It’s just that I’ve been researching narcissism online and that I think I’ve run into one on another YT channel, after I feel I’ve been ghosted by him. I have soooo many things I’d like to tell you but I wouldn’t want to do it on a public forum like CZcams… what I will say is, I also jump and scream when someone even comes into my peripheral vision. My husband knows to start saying my name softly from ten feet away if he’s coming around a corner.
If he doesn’t, I scream bloody murder and my heart beats really hard for several minutes.
What I want to tell you is, this is a classic symptom of PTSD. A childhood trauma, and subsequent traumas in my adulthood have made me very jumpy and easily frightened. Perhaps you have some suppressed trauma of which you are unaware?
I do wanna look into this caz I also freak out if someone comes near me without warning me first
