Thank you for all your videos I passed my driving test yesterday with 1 minor
I learn in automatic, yesterday tried my husband's manual car oh my God it went crazy😔😄 best option is automatic if you don't want stress.
Is it easier? Icouldn't cope with manual lessons,im looking to learn again🥴
@@dianeharrison4975 it's much easier. You don't need change gears, you just have break pedal and acceleration pedal. Obviously all electric cars and hybrid vehicles are automatic. Only point With automatic licence you are not allowed to drive manual car.
I agree with you.😊
Agree
Great video. I’d forgotten most of this, especially POM! Your instructions are very clear and precise, exactly what is needed from a driving instructor. I’m looking forward to viewing more of your videos
The way you explained is just so easy to understand and makes it look not as complicated as I thought it would be. Thank you 😊
I am glad I was able to help.
I’m starting automatic lessons at last ,,next week so excited 😆
Thank you I passed in a manual. Drove for a year. Stop start traffic is a pain on clutch got scared when me knee locked. Getting an automatic and sticking with it.
🤣🤣
That was a very clear explanation on moving off and stopping. Surely it’s very useful for PDI s like me and of course for the new learners. We are looking forward for your future videos.

Excellent explanation. Stay blessed Sir.
Where do you provide lesson means in which area as I want to take lessons for. Automatic car from you if you are in Birmingham or near by areas. Thanks for explaining in such calm and excellent manner
Hello Rajni. Thank you for your kind words. I hope to see your comments on future videos. Im based in West London
Been driving my first manual car for 7 years, and really want an automatic now 😂
Why not rent one for a day and see if you prefer it
It’s really helpful thank you 🙏🏽
Where are you live?
Hello 🖐Thanks for the positive feedack. I live just outside West London
Good morning.
Firstly, love the video, the steps were gone through slowly and carefully and very easy to understand.
My question is regarding the observations. Due to the road being particularly busy, there was a huge pause between checking the pavement side and actually moving off.
Would it not be safer to redo the entire 6 point check in this case?
Hello SteSmith. Sorry for not replying last year. Yes, you are correct. It would be advisable to recheck. 😬
Please make more videos
I'm looking for a good instructor like you
Where are base?
This is all I did in my first lesson today and I was panicking the whole time it was awful. I got up to 20mph and drove 100metres at most 😢 driving is so scary
I’m a nervous wreck I hope my nerves ease as i have more lessons!😮
The second lesson was a lot easier!
I have an automatic and if stopping you should always put the engine into the park when waiting. I was at a drive-through and stretched out to get some money from a trouser pocket and hitting the throttle the car leped forwards. The same with stopping. If by chance you just get out of the car to quickly do something you can accidentally hit the throttle and the car will jump forwards.
Thank you Tommy for sharing your story. I had not even considered that.
Thanks for this mate. When stopping, is the emergency brakes applied before putting it into park, or can one put it in park first and then apply the emergency brakes?
Hi. What this video on "how to do an emergency stop in an automatic car"
czcams.com/video/eUEnppKhJz4/video.html
Thanks for these videos,
When examiner asks stopping safe place on the left 40 mph single carriage way. Is it necessary to apply handbrake once stopped.?
Yes, that is correct.
Hi Mr to day was my first day off driving Otumatic car it was very hard 😊😊
Hello, Sorry for the extremely late reply. Thanks your commenting. Please note that in future all your comments will be answerd more or less straightaway
I don’t understand what the purpose is of the handbrake if you can just use the gear in park? When driving should the handbrake be on or off? Thanks
Hi. The handbrake MUST be off when driving
Important point - foot on brake while moving gear lever to park, otherwise it will not move !
Execellent point. Thank you
A question.. With an automatic, why apply the handbrake? When in Park the transmission is totally locked
Keep the DVSA happy 🤣
In which order should you start the car ? Is there a preferred order, or are both okay?
Engine on -> gear to drive -> foot on brake -> handbrake down -> foot on gas
Or
Engine on -> gear on park -> handbrake down -> foot on brake -> gear on drive -> foot on gas
Thanks you for commenting
Foot on brake, engine start ( usually won’t start if not in park ) into gear, foot off brake. That is the way the 300 million Americans are taught.
@@timlocke8588pls are u an instructor ?
Do we need to indicate when we stop to give way to some oncoming car? And when moving off again should we indicate?
Yes you must always indicate when overtaking another moving vehicle whether on a single carriageway or dual carriageway.
For behind the wheel lessons do we need learner permit even if we have international driving lesson.
Hi. Sorry for late reply. No, if you an international permit, you can take lessons without provisional but you can not take theory or practical test
Hello dtc could you do a mock test on a automatic car please
Yes, it can be arranged. Please text 07799-886380
How much it would be for the mock test
Please text 07799-886380
Can you show how to drive a automatic car with hand controls for people who are unable to use their feet to drive
unfortuntaly not as I don't have a car with that facality
Could you do a video on roundabouts in an automatic car please? And parking?
Now that the lockdown is lifted, I should be able to do that soon
How much pressure is applied to break at to start up.
Hello, Sorry for the extremely late reply. Thanks your commenting. Please note that in future all your comments will be answerd more or less straightaway
Not me passed in a manual for 4 years never drove an automatic so I had to come here 🤣🤣.
Thanks for commenting Hassan
Would have been useful to actually SEE how you ‘put it in park’ / drive. How is the gear lever marked? Is there a button to press? Are the positions standard in every make & model? People watching this are likely to be manual drivers considering a change to automatic.
Hello Linda. Thank you for your valuable feedback. This has been noted and will be taken into account in future videos.
Do people look down on automatic only drivers?

bullshit my Chevy Cruz won't start with brakes pressed, its common misconception
Thanks you for commenting
I got so stressed driving it’s not for me
Hi Diane. Thanks for commenting. May I suggest that you try another instructor.
Learning to drive should be an enjoyable experience. I personally suffer fron dyslexia and took over 80 hours of lessons but eventually i passed on my third attend in 1983
