The baking soda will only release co2 and make the vinegar less acidic, making it work less.

Ever notice showerhead nozzles (the little tiny holes) are now always made of silicone?
That's so you can clear the clogs just by rubbing your thumb across the face of it while it's on.
Just sayin', maybe it's time to upgrade from a rusty can with holes poked into it.
