I have that pattern and its in my line up to make too. Im glad you mentioned how much smaller you made it, so i wont be afraid to do that either. Yours looks great!

I have that pattern and love it. I lengthened mine also and squared the hem.
I was thinking of lengthening it but decided to leave it short as I knew I would wear leggings so didn’t mind it being a little shorter than I usually would wear a dress x
I love your dress, it looks fab on you and also looks beautifully made. I Agree re the collar button…. I make lots of shirts for hubs and as he prefers the open neck, more casual look, if I make the buttonhole I don’t split it and often just omit it

I've got that pattern! I was crushing on the modelled outfit; I used a fine corduroy for the buttoned dress, and a striped light ponte for the tee dress. The latter is unwearable at the moment, the garment shoulders come nowhere near my own 😆 so that one's on the shelf. Your dress looks wonderful!
Oh a cord sounds lovely for the shirt dress! Shame about the knit dress though, patterns can sometimes be quite hit and miss x

This was great. I think you may have mentioned that you want to make McCall's 7470. I have this patterned toiled but then put it aside. If you do tackle this pattern please post that you are doing so. I will use that as motivation to pick it up again. I do not do videos, but will do it along with you, quietly :)

Looks super on you Michelle, great fit - if done up agree it looks far better with a belt as gives you good shape + opened to wear as a jacket. Think you will get a lot of use out of it. Great hints & tips about deciding on sizing.👏👏👏
