My dad once cooked jalapeños in balsamic & sugar, candied them & baked them in brownies. Not only did the whole family love them, they also disappeared VERY fast at his work. A couple times.
I make extra syrup and can it and it's fantastic as a glaze on whatever meat or veges you like. I also make canned Cole slaw and mix that syrup with the cowboy candy syrup. I can it cowboy crack and it's a nice sweet heat glaze for meats and veges. Great on kababs!!
I'm going to have to try your way because it's way different from how I make mine I absolutely love cowboy candy I even make extra of the sauce to just use it as a base for my ribs when I smoke or grill them I even put the sauce on chicken when it's baking so yummy
I’m originally from 🇲🇽 but when I came to the US and was in the navy, one of my buddies that was a florida native gave me a jar of them that his grandmother made, and I liked them so much I ate them just straight out of the jar. They were so flavorful I had never tasted anything the like.
Candied Jalapeños 1. Bring 1/3 cup honey to a gentle boil. Simmer over low for 3-5 minutes. 2. Meanwhile, arrange 2-3 sliced jalapeños in a glass jar. Pour the honey over the jalapeños. Add 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar and a pinch of salt. Let cool. Keep stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. More simple of a recipe and does the same thing
My favorite thing to do to preserve them is to make jalapeno toreados with onion and garlic and then cover with low sodium soy sauce and let them simmer in the pan for a few minutes. Let them cool then put them in a jar in the fridge. So good.
Wow...you pronounced turmeric correctly. That's quite rare. Silly, I know...but I subscribed for that reason, in addition to the fact that I actually enjoy your content.
Spread some cream cheese on a ritz cracker then top with cowboy candy it’s delicious, my parents make the best cowboy candy!
This is the only way I’d let that abhorrent concoction come near my mouth lol granted I’m spice adverse (I have Irish insides…I can’t help it!)
