Answer about the dummy: normally when you repeatedly hit the dummy only one great hopper spawns. The randomizer devs were bored and made it… more than one great hopper.
The dummy usually spawns two great hoppers and the rando makes it so that one hopper spawns per geodrop [I think it was 12 (2 big pieces and 10 small pieces) but I might be mistaken] instead.
Like the fact that Cj has beaten the game in 1 hour and has 112% it multiple times but STILL needs a compass.
Honestly same. I have like 100 hrs in hollow knight and still have compass equipped all the time

I think it's possible to assume that CJ didn't have as high level of skip requirements turned on. I know I play with almost no skips because I just don't know any and often find my runs to just give me a few abilities quite easily just so I can access literally anything skipless lol

..Yeah, that title of worst charm goes to heavy blow.
To be able to move while healing, where the big drawback normally is being completely still is potent used properly. Also, the hitbox change can help avoid some attacks easy like both Grimm's bats and the Mantis lords attacks.
I have unironically used joni's blessing before for similar situations in which healing is hard to do.
Fragile Greed is decent for cash if you don't want to do colosseums and can be gotten earlier, Gathering swarm is good to get cash without having to waste time going back and can get unreachable that's fallen into spikes.
Even the dream shield occasionally does something.
Heavy blow... well, it reduces your damage output by pushing enemies further away from your next swing, for one.
Then, for bosses that can stagger, it lower that number by either 1 or 2. Most bosses that stagger like Broken Vessel are easy enough.
Then there's the hatred of my life, Zote.
That guy takes 18-19 hits to stagger. Lowering that to 17 or 16 doesn't do much of anything.
If you want more range between you and your foe, get Longnail or Mark of Pride or both. Longnail even takes the same number of notches.
If you want more staggers and more damage get quick slash. That thing increases nail dps by atleast 50% and by proxy likely your staggers.

Heavy Blow is an active hindrance against normal enemies, and does either nothing or little to nothing against bosses.
It might do something good > it either does basically nothing or is bad.
@@lllllllllllllllllllllllllIllI not to mention you can do SLUG SKIP-- the most important, most epic-est skip in anything every which is IMPOSSIBLE without Shape of Unn

Bro is the luckiest person to play a Hollow Knight randomizer. How did he get like every required item in like the first hour of the game
Its actually a curse to get lots of good things at the start, because than that ONE item you need is gonna SUCK to hunt for when you run out of checks
@@Jonrocks7 it isn't a curse because if you get no good items at the beginning then the randomiser will also take longer
@@AlexanderCollier. you see, if you get mostly bad picks at the start, than once you go through the map your gonna get everything you need in a VERY short time rather than missing that ONE thing that takes you 8 hours to find

@@Jonrocks7 yeah but having stuff like dash also lets you go places faster and gets checks at a better pace, so having at least movement early is huge

its not a breeze but its still pretty easy
@@yes-en5syit's really hard when you do things out of order i would say. if you get your gear maxed out and everything a lot of the bosses become a looooot easier but if you're me and fight lost kin with practically no upgrades you spend hours on one fight

VS nail 0 and mothwing is more than enough to beat every boss easily (assuming you can reach it)

This was really good fun to watch. I'd like to see more HK content from CJ
I've been addicted to doing Hollow Knight Randomizers, specifically the cursed ones that randomize everything like geo, ore, stags, etc, as well as splitting items like Mothwing Cloak, Mantis Claw, and even your attacks leaving you with only down slash and also removing the ability to focus and swim by default. Add on random start position and these runs are insane.
