Loved the Lebowski reference. Looks like you could pack some undies and quite a few Credence tapes in those bags as well! Got my Pakt bag last month just before going on a trip to Europe. Loved it. The hip strap that becomes a sling was great to use for going out and about. Enjoy the trip (and the bag)!
Portugal is on my list… But back to SE Asia this fall.

The design on the front of the backpack with the branded Nylon “belting” (or whatever it’s called) reminds me of the styles you see in Asia, like Hong Kong/Korea/China.
I know you've done shoe stuff before, but I'd be curious to know what you think of Tabi shoes. Brands I've heard of are Marugo and Rikio.
The SYMPL daypack looks just like the Douchebag Aera bag.
Backpacks of 35L capacity or greater must offer at least the option for a hip belt (preferably padded and easy to stow away or completely remove).
Just saw Odie Matthew do a CZcams review on the Sympl Travel pack and it has a detachable and padded hip belt that he said is being released soon. I have the Sympl Travel Pack and I’m buying the hip belt as soon as it’s released.
@@Fnick-dl6pg I just contacted Sympl and they said that the Hip Belt will be available for $29 in about 8-10 weeks.
These bags seem to be well designed in terms of functionality. I'm not a fan of their branding logo though with the white ink text...Wish it was more like Peak Designs minimalism branding

I just can't get on board with all that labeling on the bag. Even though they did their best to make it seem minimal, it is still too much imho
As another post points out, less extreme contrast (like charcoal grey on black) would be better than white.

Great choice! I bought the Sympl Travel Pack and Weekender and love them both. The Weekender is my EDC and the Travel Pack is for my 3-5 day trips.
