Calcaneus - Comminuted Fractures - Open Reduction and Internal Fixation

In this video we are performing the open reduction and fixation of a comminuted fracture of the calcaneus, comprising of six displaced fragments, four of which have a joint-bearing function.

Very helpful. They casted mine 20 years ago, with 7 broken pieces. Still suffer, worse lately. Recently bought a brace from Walgreens and has helped me some. Still sux.....

3 years ago severly comminuted mine .plate and 7 screws .can walk but still limp and one foots bigger than the other

I had it 4 years ago now, I walk fine but have problems on lumpy ground and use ankle support as a precaution.

I had mine done 10 years ago. Yes with uneven ground and don’t even dare to roll it as the pain is intense.

It is done the same still swelling and numbness on foot, normal walking not possible however may heel in an year.

I got my surgery on august 26 2020 but still with pain I fall off from a 12 foot ladder at work

I had the same surgery 9 months back , plate and 10 screws. It really hurts ......worst bone to break

Recovery is not possible in this case... disability for whole life.. better to die

I have a plate and 9 screws, not an issue but I feel it in cold weather.
