If Ham is gonna continue to try the tactic of guarding Jokic with Rui and using AD as the help, i think a better version would be AD guarding Jokic with Wood as the help rim protector. He's also a better rebounder than Hayes and offensively spaces the floor.

The painful problem is the talent gap between, gorden,and porter vs, Reaves and dlo. The main problem
its not a talent gap.....its a genetics, athleticism gap..........KCP and Porter are not more talented. They're more athletic and bigger. KCP is 6'5", MPJ is 6'10", Gordon is 6'8".........Dlo is 6'3" and ar is 6'5".
DLo tend to struggle a bit against bigger, more physical guards.
@@artmessiah83 The talent gap is obviously there. Specially defensively. And that matters a lot in a playoff scenario. Reaves and Dlo are horrible on defense, Gordon is elite and MPJ is just fine. And KCP too, he's a great defender. None of Rui, Reaves and Dlo come close to those guys on the defensive end.
Not to mention that Jokic is a lot better than AD and Murray can produce just about the same as Lebron does at his age. So yeah, Denver is way more talented, they have a better coach and way better team chemistry.
Every focusing on Jokic like that’s the lakers fixable issue. It isn’t. Denver recognizes they’ll never stop Bron or AD so what do they do? Limit Reaves and Dlo. Denver understands where these games are won and lost.
Just go look at the bench scoring between both teams. Their starters also completely outplay ours. Reaves Dlo and Rui. Combined for 33 points. KCP, MPJ, and AG combined for 43. Their bench outscored TP 17-11. So players not named Jokic and Murray combined for 60pts. Players not named LeBron and AD scored 44.
Their role players continue to outplay ours at every turn. Especially when it comes to rebounding and second chance points
D'Lo is the weakest link. Bench him. Let AD go head to head with Joker and don't double him. Put Gabe on Murray and Get Reaves shooting the ball early
Facts...Ham should accept that this series is just not good for Dlo and bench him for Gabe. Gabe can at least help slow down Murray and he is fast enough to guard him on his own without a double team. They should stop double teaming and stick to man on and live with the consequence. If they can keep the game close through out Bron will bring it home.

The main reason why the lakers are in trouble with the Nugggets is the difference of size.
In 2020 when we beat them, we had as rim protectors Javale Mc Gee and D. Howard. That made a huge difference and took a lot of pressure from AD and Bron, and they could focus on the offense.
Today, the nuggets have even more size with Jokic, M. Poter Jr, A. Gordon, D. Jordan.

I can't believe they haven't figured it out. When you do a whole video like that, you're niching yourself to such a small percent of the audience. Transition is huge. I watched film and when lakers give up transition points, quite literally lebron a.d and guys simply dont run down the court to play defense and dont have urgency until denver already beats them diwn the floor. Very simple fix but they have made a habit of doing it in the regular season that has carried into the playoffs
All off-season all we had was one job, which was to get a center that could play meaningful minutes defensively against Nikola Jokic. Failing to make that happen is the reason why possibly winning against the Nuggets is an uphill battle.
Change the starting lineup, DLo and Reaves defends nothing and rebound nothing, and now they score nothing

Blows my mind how these physically gifted players don' know how to lay the ball off the glass....2 feet fom the basket and they blow a can't-miss layup by 3 feet. RUI can't shooot layups. Dlo can't; and A.D. neeeds to use the glass when he's surrounded by 2 other big guys, competing for a rebound. Even Bron who has lived in the NBA by going down-hill, sometimes will put unneeded English on a layup and screw it up. Ham neeeds to go back to Jr. high fundamentals and have these guys warm up with layup drills. And, Bron has to stop the unforced turnovers and throwing bounce passes to his big teammates.
