00:04 Ari Aster
00:15 Alfred Hitchcock
00:31 Tim Burton
00:55 Paul Thomas Anderson
01:18 Greta Gerwig
01:48 Alejandro González Iñárritu
02:02 Jane Campion
02:34 Gullimero del Toro
02:50 Ridley Scott
03:14 Martin Scrosese
Notes: PTA was very Liquorice Pizzery, Alejandro was honestly just a budget revenant. Personally, Ridley Scott is my favourite. Scorsese says he 'doesn't have a style,' so that was fun. If you have any directors you'd still like me to do, let me know in the comments.

about me:
Hi, my name's Éowyn. I'm a filmmaker, editor & photographer from New Zealand.
In 2022 I solo traveled around France & Italy for three months, and spent a few months living out of a van in the South Island of New Zealand. Join me for some fun discussions / films around travel, introspection and I suppose what they call 'coming of age' (at any age). I hope you'll find some information or inspiration in them that is useful to you!
Thank you for being here :)

If there’s ever a part 3, I’d love to see Sam Raimi and Zack Snyder
think I might have to do a part 3!
Rachel Talalay and Andrzej Tarkowski 😀👍
@@eowynaldridge I'd like to suggest Alejandro Jodorowsky, Lars Von Trier, Frederico Felilni and Krzysztof Kieślowski
Mike Flanagan and Aaron Sorkin.
... and while you're at it: ingmar bergman, françois truffaut, david fincher... please?
that's a lot of water..
😂 these are spot on. I guess Ridley Scott's scene would require dropping the glass after drinking. but you didn't want to break the prop which is understandable 😅
Scorsese should have Ray Liotta's voiceover:
"There was nothing we could do. Éowyn was a made woman, and the glass wasn't. We had to sit down and take it. It was real Kiwi sh*t".
You nailed Hitchcock. People usually just think of Psycho, but this was very reminiscent.
Thank you! I’ve watched most of his films
@@eowynaldridge I love To Catch a Thief myself...
I feel as if the music does most of the work, the shots themselves are just the cherry on the top.
yea the music is important
Ideas for Part 3
David Fincher
Coen brothers
Bong Joon-ho
Gaspar Noe
Nicolas Winding Refn
Michael Mann
Yorgos Lanthimos
Luca Guadagnino
Steven Spielberg
Spike Lee
oh gosh so many directors I love thanks for the suggestions!
I'd vote Robert Rodriguez.
My wishlist for part 3:
Steven Spielberg
George Lucas
James Cameron
Coen Brothers
JJ Abrams
Alfonso Cuaron
Darren Aronofsky
Luc Besson
Paul Verhoeven
Roland Emmerich
Not all of them have made good films or some havent made good films in a while, but they all definitely have a certain style to them. 😅
thanks for the list :)
Tarkovsky is a must do. Slow water waves inside the glass while dripping echoes in the background.
haha yep
Gullimero del Toro?!
1:49 LMAO
Are you going to do a Tarkovsky one where you push the glass from the table just by looking at it ? :)
perfect idea thank you
I want Almodovar
U r super u composited each scene like u studied each director nice work
thank you!
Michel bay: Lens flares, lens flares, lens flares.
Don’t forget LOTS and LOTS of explosions
Silly me: what's the difference between a JJ Abrams lense flare and a Michael Bay lens flare ?
For some reason, I like to imagine that the photo of the little girl that keeps getting shown depicts a dead family member of the lady who drinks the water, and that the water-drinking is some sort of metaphor… Eh, could be reading way too much into it.
Also, I like how your name is Éowyn, like the LOTR character.
haha thanks!
Amazing video overall 😂
Enough of this, you are talented, should try short films or something 👍🏼
That was absolutely awesome and on spot ❤️
Andrey Tarkovsky maybe? He's quite known for his water motif, would be interesting to see your interpretation 🙂
oh thank you definitely keen to do Tarkovsky
@@eowynaldridge
You did remind me about Tarkovsky's Mirror. There was a disappearing wet ring from a cup on the polished wooden table. And sounds of rain instead of music
Del toro didn't ring a bell to me, but I laughed really loud with Anderson and Iñárritu
I’m here after watching your first one and can’t with the film bros in your comments telling you what to do differently 😅 or assuming you didn’t make this and you’re just an actress. ‘KAY…
haha chur
part 3 you could maybe do francis ford coppola
ooo definitely
What about Alfonso Cuarón or Woody Allen?
Part 3 I guess
Maybe with europeans directors?
Do part 3 and include Vince Gilligan
Ahaha could do, so many more directors (Johnathan Glazer, Emerald Fennell, Yorgos Lanthimos, actually yea might need to
@@eowynaldridgeIt's because I'm a huge fan of the series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, and Vince directed both series. I think his and his team's filming direction is incredible. If you haven't watched it, I recommend it. And you have talent and potential for creativity 😉
Include linklater in the next one!!
Guillermo Del Toro, not "Gullimero"... 😂
oh thanks!
I keep hoping for Ken Russell.
Part 3!
I would appreciate more cuts, directors included in this video didn't have that much, but their cinematography says different.
What about David Fincher? Darren Aronofsky?
yeah need to do a part 3!
@@eowynaldridge I will be waiting. I hope it will be great
Algún hispano😊
You don´t have a dolly to get closer and get away and do lateral pannings or complicated pannings so you can´t imitate the style of many directors including Hitchcock.
