Psydrre I contacted k&n and sent them the video. They said it's normal. Also this video was my 5.4 liter 2010 f150, I have a 2014 5.0 liter F-150 that does the exact same thing with the cold air intake! Guess it's just the cold air intake!
Val Ozuna Still sound weird though. But if they say it is normal I guess it is. Not to pry or anything but you haven't noticed any difference in performance over time have you?
I jus put in a cold air intake (random one off of Amazon for like 50 bucks) and put it on acura tl sounded fine when I started car n then I shut it off n made that noise I was like wtf was that n I've been searching utube for like 10 mins making sure that was supposed to happen lmaoooo
So after a few trucks and a few cold air intakes and since I'm still getting comments on this I thought I'd mention that yeah this is normal for cold air intake. I have a 5th gen dodge now with cold air intake and makes the exact same noise
I know this video is old, but for anyone curious, my old scion used to do this a lot when shutting the engine off. excess air escaping, i had a short ram intake and it would do that. not all the time but a good amount of the time it did.
I was told by my aftermarket CAI seller that I should change my spark plugs because I don’t hear the whistling noise you usually hear with a CAI. I installed it a couple hours ago, I rev my engine and I just don’t hear what other people get when installing a CAI
It's not that big of a deal as long as you have brake pressure. Just means if the engine stalls while in motion, you'll have to press the brakes much harder or use the hand brake.
I think your engine is sneezing, might need to get some blankets and warm chicken soup for it.
Psydrre LMAO! That's my old 5.4,I have a 5.0 now that does the same thing!
So you never figured out whats causing it? :/

*bless you*
it's normal just the sound it makes when it's not sucking in air anymore aka the car turning off
Something to do with the idle air control valve possibly
those are the intake flaps closing
Oh ok, cause my car makes that noise, was wondering what it was

Sounds like the slurpee machine at 7/11
Bless you

Completely normal it’s the butterfly valve closing
Bless you! Give little Silvia a tissue
Just changed my spark plugs and this sound happened for the first time, thought i broke something 😅

If it just recently started change the check valve in your brake booster hose, it sounds like it’s releasing built up vacuum back into the intake.

Honestly sounds like an intake valve is not quite closed. Either because of damage or where the engine happened to stop
I have something similar strapped to my Ford 4.6,mine last longer making that noise but no drivability problems
I think these are the intake flaps closing when turning off the engine
I’m actually curious bc I’m about to do a cold air intake on my truck how did you get it to sound like that I want mine to do that
I have no idea I just slapped one on my grand caravan and it makes the sound🤷🏻♂️
Is nothing, its the valve systems , and you hear because you have a come filter instead the original box and filter
when you cut off the car the air has too go somewhere so it goes out the relive valve
Vacuum is still sucking with less air restriction. Probably fine
Back Pressure Exhaust valve?
what engine Ford?
Sound of compression
Ever heard of vacuum lines?
where did you get it?
Bro. That's normal.
It's releasing vaccum probably from your throttle body or maf hose.
I think its the vacuum line sound
What’s the popping sound on the intake when idling? Ford 4.0 on rangers tend to do that
sounds like my Honda when I do that also
Ivan 23 Caravantes my v6 accord does the same thing
Not sure what it is but my girl Honda does the exact same thing...
Is that a subí 🤔
looks like it
@@Prodsacul no it’s not
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 whats that
