Dyserth Waterfall is in Dyserth, North Wales, not far from Prestatyn. It is a 70ft waterfall created by The River Ffyddion, a branch of The River Clwyd. Strangely, in the 1880s, mining in the area caused the waterfall to dry up, however, once the mining stopped, the waterfall resumed. What’s more, caves still remain from the mining days and are accessible too! So, lace up your trainers or hiking boots and head to Dyserth Waterfall and Caves for the afternoon. It really is a hidden gem. There is a trail to take up above the falls which gives a beautiful view of the surrounding area. This is inaccessible to wheelchair and pushchairs, although the falls are completely accessible and can be enjoyed by all! There is a small money box in a door to pay 50p in for the upkeep of the park, so it's super cheap and honestly, I'd have been happy to pay more! This truly is one of the best hidden gems of North Wales and we're so glad we found it!

Thanks so much for the comment. It’s a beautiful hidden gem and I’m so glad we found it! The drive there took us up a very high hill in Prestatyn where apparently there is one of the best views, sadly we couldn’t see it as we were in a cloud up there 😂 good excuse to go back 😁
