Let me explain the name of song. Maghar in Punjabi means part of a person’s back just below rear shoulder. We find people saying I have pain in my maghars, so I need a massage. Or “me us k maghar ja rha hun” means I’m just following him while going somewhere. That’s the part of body which people use while carrying load or burden specially while doing some laborious work. When they take the burden off their “maghar”, they feel good and relieved. This fact is used as metaphor in Punjabi. You get relief and feel good when you take some kind of burden off from your back. Maghron La means that I have put aside my burden and now I feel good. As maghar means back, another meaning we draw from it is that I have put my grief, sorrows, and disputes on my back, in the past so that I can be happy.

I absolutely agree with what you said about opening your mind and accept change. So glad that Shruti brought up this question because I have been seeing and commenting on so many of those comments. We can’t go back we have to move forward and in my opinion the lyrics have been amazing! The issue is coming where they are mixing languages and it’s like you said not the typical Purana ganah. Gone are the days where coke studio folks were standing and singing.. there was literally no visual appeal. Also those visuals add to the song when you have nothing in front of you just the song.. it lets you imagine the scene and I love it ❤

Ritual is english for Rasam ...... 😂😂😂😂 bhai School nahi gaye the kya 😂😂😂 this rasam/ritual is present in every culture of India from Bangali to Punjabi ...from Tamil to Haryanavi .😊😊😊

No, you did not get what I actually pointed out. I was saying that this Rasm is carried out during the process of wedding here in Pakistan not after the wedding as the lady was saying it to be a ritual of Godd Bharayi!

The rice ritual is present in all wedding ceremonies before(mehendi/engagement) during(wedding) and after(reception)..... and also in blessing ceremonies like godh bharayi which is clearly shown happening at 5:17 .... it indicates fertility and blessings for a happy future .... in India it can be seen in birthdays too specially if people are more religious and culturally attached 😊😊
