I love how this goes from touching to humorously dark
Family guy sucks it needs to die and stay dead as its wank
Fixed
then it was broken by "Stabbed by Lady-Boy"
Have to memorize this song for when WW3 starts
Thatâs not fun,thatâs horrible business
Now we have riots

I first found it on some compilation video.. probably a laugh challenge... so I really had no epsidoe context nor did I know the Hair reference...but omg...when he started singing "let my son die".... I lost it so bad I almost peed. Lol. This freaking show.
i canât stand the show, but this was really bloody good.
You forget when chris does godfather 2's ending?
I loved it when Peter started crying as he says 'my son not me'
100th thumbs up, and he wants his son to die, not him.

Ya know there's lots of things you expect in war. Carnage, the sleepless nights, but what they don't prepare you for is the incessant use of Fortunate Son. I would hear that song any time I was in a helicopter, or taking a swift boat deep into the jungle that song again.
His penis would play it when visiting whore houses tho đđ

dude that entire episode was bloody epic
Actually, it's called "The Flesh Failures (Let the Sunshine In)", as the OP said. There is another song in the musical that is called "Aquarius", but that's at the beginning and this song doesn't parody that.

I think one of the things I like about Family Guy and American Dad, but moreover Family Guy, is how calmly and smoothly everyone else accepts fictional and non-fictional absurdity.

Been listening to this ALL day

True testament to Peterâs actual character.
One of my favourite songs ever and one of my favourite TV programmes combined. Win win
it appears the show went back to dark comedy instead of just darkness
brian brush was it ever a comedy ? It's like Trainspotting with worse characters. Personal opinion
Matt Dragoneed It used to have a more comedic edge

Well it is âThe Flesh Failuresâ one of the most powerful songs of all time while still being a bop.

I love the fact that he's singing pretty good and this is a god damn joke đ€Ł You know that you are a bad singer when Peter sounds better without autotune.
Papaindica thatâs because peter is voiced by Seth MacFarlane who is a singer as well
@@tonkinjeezus6626 Damn I didn't know that... Thanks for the information.
He's legit. A huge fan of all sorts of musicals since he was a kid, and you can really tell in the show. And you know those little musical hooks at the beginning and/or end of scenes? Each one is unique. Every episode is scored by a full orchestra because that's what Seth wants.
@@Levacque didnât know that
@Flicks I don't think he even performs outside of his TV shows because he became so focused on them so long ago. He just takes every opportunity in those shows to play with music. If you haven't seen The Orville, it's great for this. Many actors sing on the show.
I would not be surprised if they made that entire episode based off of this one song. Like one of the writers thought of this parody and decided to write the episode just to include this one skit.
When the song's comedic at first but you look more into it gets sadder

1:20. Love this part of the song. Especially when the man begins to sing :D
Watch the "Hair" musical film, the original segment is extremely emotionally heavy, as it expresses the emptiness that unrighteous wars bring. (We shouldn't have been in Nam, it wasn't our fight. Though the top brass feared the "Domino effect" theory of communism. )
It was a proxy war of the cold war, or at least thatâs what it became.

This is based off of let the sun in from the 70's movie hair.
Second time référencening this exact song from hair
I like this version of the song, the way they sing it, not the actual words once I looked up what it was a parody of. It made me cry. I wasn't born when the Vietnam war was going on, but it's still sad to know so many of our soldiers were slaughtered.
my uncle was in nam.
he was in the air-force.
few years ago his body started having a negative reaction to the chemicals/radiation that affected his body over time.
let's be positive and remember those who did live.
i believe my dad was in nam as well he was a chef for the army.
My Uncle served in Vietnam, he was an infantryman and his squad was ambushed, him and 2 others survived. I don't know the details but I know he survived a crash landing in a helicopter. I think all Vietnam veterans deserve respect for what they went through. All veterans should be respected.
The lyrics are the genius though.
