- We review the new 2020 Lincoln Corsair which seems to be an attempt to turn the brand around. In the video, we will talk about the good and bad things including how Lincolns goes about luxury. The question is should buyers consider this product? With other SUVs and CUVs like the Acura MDX Kia Telluride, BMW X3, Lexus RX and Audi Q5 close in price, testing driving will be a hard journey.

Savagegeese, you’ve gotta be one of the best automotive reviewers out there. Very well made videos, informative, and you’re always keeping it real.
💯
Totally agree. I adore your content and your style. I shouldn't say this, but please don't change. I know everything needs to evolve and things get tired, but I am yet to get tired of your style. From the UK.
7:21 I test drove an early production, and then later production Corsair, and can confirm that the center console bezel looseness has been fixed. I actually kept pushing down on it for no reason on the newer car because of how solid it felt compared to before.
I had a Corsair Reserve built for me and I love it. It’s a big all-around improvement from the MKC I owned previously. I think your review was quite fair. It is supremely comfortable, and the massage seats are a godsend for anyone with low back issues. The engine and transmission are incredibly responsive. The safety electronics vastly improved. Lincoln pampers with this model. I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase.
My wife and I just got a brand new 2022 Lincoln corsair. The car is absolutely beautiful inside and out. It really is a pleasure to drive
Lincoln gets it. Plush, library quiet, good looking inside and out, and powerful. Good NVH, space, and rolling smoothness. Nothing sporty, all luxury. Cadillac, you taking notes on this?
No, Cadillac won't care. They will cater to chinese needs only as that's their largest sales base. Sad but true. GM plans to sell off the Cadillac brand to SAIC sooner or later, hence their EV push to suit the chinese government needs.
Lincoln isn't really doing any of those things better than Cadillac, plus Lincoln will always scream "overpriced Ford" unless they make something special.
Taylor C The new Navigator is 1,000 X better than the Escalade. I’ll just mention the Navigator uses real wood interior vs the Escalade’s fake wood plastic.
@@taylorc2542 With the multi-link rear, acoustic glass, double firewall, adaptive shocks, much better seats, they have made this much better than the Escape. This is pretty special if you think outside caricatures.
@@EVsSuck777 the Escalade has that godawful GM SUV "full diaper with the pants pulled up" look. The Ford products look well-planted on the road....the GMs look ready to topple over.
When comparing Lincoln to Ford let’s also compare Lexus to Toyota and Acura to Honda !!!
Lincoln is shit compared to Lexus and Acura tbh. Same with Cadillac. I expect more from "luxury" or "performance" brands.
@@bobvance- not all of them tho. The Aviator is better than the RX and MDX
@@kristians2704 10000000 times better
@@bobvance- I agree with Cadillac, but Lincoln definitely isn’t shit
@@ACZcamsChannelwithNoName Compared to them on a performance scale. They have no interesting engines and no dedicated performance division like all the greats have. They are still a decent luxury brand. I would love to rock a Continental.
found your channel a few days ago and have watched a lot of your reviews, I honestly think you are one of the best car reviewer out there, you are so honest, you photography is amazing, and you talk about things people actually want to know when buying, cant wait for when you get to review the bronco later this year
You should switch up the Scott Turbowski sub-header. ie Once in a while it should read "who is Scott Turbowski?" or something different for the long term viewers. Just a thought.
Or just bring him back!
Where the hell did Scott go?
The fact that no one will talk about what happened to him makes us wonder even more.
Witness protection maybe?
@@chromium42 You know too much 🤫
I'm so excited...Finally under-body shots of the Corsair....Thank you Savagegeese!!
we're 2 of the 6 million. well no, im just kidding
I was just writing to the Geese asking to show the underbody of the Corsair - much to my amazement, here it is. Thank you S-Geese!!
So I guess you and your ford rep are still speaking after the explorer review?
emark24 lol? I guess so!
Yup... My thoughts also!
Lincoln and Ford are seperate brands. Lincoln takes premium and passion to another planet, you should really like their facebook page and also head to the dealership right now and order every product in their lineup its that good. Don't forget my coupon code for a free Corsair Tattoo from our new parlor connected with LA Tan and KFC.
@@savagegeese your humor is not on point.
Is this a Ford or a Volvo?
@savagegeese I recently picked up a 19 Ridgeline based in part on your review and feedback on the 6 speed vs the 9 speed. Very pleased so far with it, thanks for producing this content!
18:51 he´s back!
I thought Turbowski was back. :(
Lincoln might be the comeback player of the last year. All their SUV's have gotten so much better. RIP to Lincoln sedans though.
... their...
I'm so glad someone has noticed the Ford brands' horrid audio quality. I'm also glad Lincoln gained some quality and differentiation finally/again. Excellent review!
To be fair though, most consumers are not audiophiles, they equate loudness with goodness. Most people will think the audio systems are good because it thumps a bit. Honestly, for me, I'm more into quality, not quantity of sound. But at low volumes, where I typically keep it. I think fords are fine. If I want acoustic bliss, I do that at home.
I rented a 2020 Hyundai Elantra. The audio system was fantastic. And realistically it costs about $50 to put good speakers in cars. It made me like the car.
@@tylerslater4709 that's why I like my Acuras ELS system so much
Lincolns are decent these days. But then you drive an Audi. and you’re like oh I see what Lincoln is trying to do. you’re about halfway there.
My taurus is audio isn't bad. Some people commit how good it is doing my ridesharing work.
I'm always impressed with the production quality of your videos, great job!
Great video as usual. My wife and I are currently in the market for her SUV replacement and the Corsair wasn't on our radar......it is now. Thanks
Omg the outro!!! Amazing!! BTW amazing video very nice for them to make a solid vehicle!!
I love the tasteful & light use of drama & humor, it doesn't go unnoticed.
I'm not that surprised, I've heard good things about Lincoln lately. Seems they finally got their heads out of their asses and started making good vehicles again.
Just got this car. Great car. Love the way it drives. Really luxurious. Very quite. The review is really nice.
Thanks for the new outro Mark...been missing them!
I've found myself going back and watching videos you post, not because I care about the car, but because of how much I respect and enjoy the quality of these videos
Ever since I took the plunge into my 2015 Lincoln MKC, I was stunned how nice it was. Like you, I realized it was not perfect but it did provide a decent luxury experience for $42k. Thinking about updating to the Corsair.
After much reviewing and many test drives, I settled on a 2020 full option Nautilus Black Label. In the so called luxury 2 row SUV market there are quite a few offerings. Only Lincoln seems to be putting "luxury" at the top of the list. Every other brand I drove was striving too hard to combine sporty with luxury, and in doing so, at least in my opinion, they diminished the luxury aspect. None of the others I drove had near as smooth and quiet a ride as Lincoln, and to me, that's what luxury is all about.
This is the best review of a Ford/Lincoln product that you have given. Would be on my shopping list now.
At first this car had my curiosity now it has my attention. Always good to hear from someone who's not a brand fan
Finally subscribed today. After the last video, I reconsidered my thoughts about your channel. The attention to detail, the candidness, the effort to inform the viewer is phenomenal. I love how you bring it into the shop, show the undercarriage for review and discussion. Then analyzing of the sound system. No one else pays that much attention to detail. I subscribe impressed. Sir you do well in your review. A side note. Get rid of the hideous green cap. You can do better. LOL Have an awesome day and much success to your endeavors.
In 3 years or so I will buy one of these coming off a lease. Looks like a great vehicle, just not willing to pay the huge price tag now.
Riley Gifford You can say that about any/every car. The used one is cheaper than a new one. Duh.
Gdi with turbo and cvt by ford? Lol. Thats a money pit.
I agree. The trend of the Big 3 chasing only margins and abandoning their volume demographics is not good. We are definitely heading towards a bubble crash.
@@ninjamaster3453 From the specs I've seen, both 2.0t and 2.3t engines come with an 8 speed automatic. I'm not crazy about Direct Injection only either..
alliejr you are absolutely correct! This one is a vehicle that particularly like however which is tough to come by these days.
9:31 damn thought he was going to say "I've gotten 6 million emails about where Scott has been."
No one really misses him.
@@BobsGT235 oh come on!
At that point, there's probably a good portion of late subscribers wondering who is this Scott Turbowski.
@@BobsGT235 BS
Great Review. Glad to see that the Corsair is a legit contender. This is year one so hopefully some of the quality and material issues will improve
That new premium outro is mint. I'm thoroughly impressed.
Great review, I bought a Corsair for all the reasons you listed. Your frustration with where to put your cell phone was funny. There’s a key pocket / cell phone holder on the back wall of the front center console, you can kinda see it at 7:55. Not obvious, but very handy once you know.
Amazing reviews. Truly, thank you
Thumbs up for that playlist haha. I knew this man had class but now it's a fact
the adjustable seats for under the back of the legs is very good idea, and these video game in dash graphics i guess are the future now
I've actually rarely seen you so happy reviewing something. I think you were super surprised and excited Ford made something that wasn't completely underwhelming. Some of the small oversights are strange, but like you said, it nails so many features that are actually important for driving every day. Great review! Also nice scooter lifting sequence. XD
Yeah its true, I got out of the Exploder and was like oh great another piece of shit. Nope not bad.
OH MAN! That INTRO!! Love it!
Some of the best video work out there.
i just saw Sepultura Dead Embryonic Cells on your radio dude...you just went up a few pegs in my book
Great review! Opening music reminded me I needed to adjust my subwoofer level.
Love that its a brand new car and the exhaust is rusted already.
Wow. This puts it over the top. Been wanting to buy American in this segment for a long time. I finally can.
Good to know that they are getting way better.
Flickin' Boogers at the end = Priceless !! Never commented on your channel before but have been subbed for a while and watch them all - I have to say, I think you do an excellent job in your unbiased presentation exposing the pro's and con's. I also want to congratulate you on taking the overall presentation and quality of you video work - both pre and post production - to a level beyond any other channel. Truly "Professional Grade" work .. not the Professional Grade GMC ad campaign stuff, you work is exponentially above any other reviewer/blogger. Mucho Kudo's to you ..
I am inspired by GMC and thats why I try to do great work like GM did with the Envoy. (Thanks!!)
@@savagegeese Im not sure if thats a pun .. butits pretty funny (either way) since I still drive a '04 GMC Envoy XUV 5.3l 4x4 as my daily beater ! Nothing today offers the load capacity / tow capacity WITHOUT a 3rd row, which is useless for me. I even have the 2nd row removed. Sure I could go MGT800 but the wife said she would mever drive that schoolbus
I used to live in Lakemoor. Your video editing and overall production is top shelf. When it comes to interior controls Im guessing AC Delco is still showing off their extreme cheap cost cutting parts.
Excellent review. I wonder what savagegeese would think of the Lincoln Aviator considering his thoughts on this and the Explorer.
see he refered to matthew mcconauhey hanging out in Aviator not corsair.
On top of all that I saw one on the road the other day and could no believe it. I turned for it, is way better in person than in pictures and videos.
Lincoln using the Corsair name from there Successful Edsel lineup. Good Job !
Wow, refreshing. So many continue to bash Lincoln finally great someone is open to giving them the chance they've been working so hard for.
Excellent Presentation!
That Todd Parking Brake outro was a real treat, thanks Mark
cool for checking out headphones as well as a great car review!
excellent review - thanks.
All hail materialism let us show our appreciation in debt.
Yeah, people dropping this kind of money on cars is mind blowing to me. Unless you're making $300k+, how is a $60k doable? Add insurance, taxes, registration and it's $67k that needs to be financed. Put down 10k for a trade or whatever and your monthly for 72 months is STILL nearly $800. Add insurance and registration and it's over 1k/month.
@@bassandtrebleclef because it's just money. It grows back. Eating ramen noodles and counting ever cent doesn't seem enjoyable. I enjoy the shit out of a spirited drive. Oh and we don't have the giant moneypit that are children.
@@bassandtrebleclef It's all about priorities, I guess. For some people it's just important to have an expensive car. Personally, I would never spend more than 40k or so on a car, even if I was a millionaire. Computers and video games on the other hand... I could spend many thousands of dollars on those... and I probably have. I should stop thinking about that, lol.
bassandtrebleclef this car is not for working poor people any more than Mercedes or land cruisers. It’s made to encourage u to make more money so that someday u can be as deep in debt as the hipsters that make 100k +.keep striving and someday you’ll be able to crash and burn during recessions like those who own these lovely conveyencies. It’s the American way don’t u know......
@@bassandtrebleclef people need to keep up with the Joneses. Most are programmed to not settle for the cheaper or used vehicle. Got to have the latest and greatest. If you buy one for 60k and put 20k down. The monthly payment for a 40k loan at 1.9% interest for 5 years is $699 a month, yeah baby. Customer: "I can't afford that." Dealer: "No problem how about extending the loan terms to 72 months? That will be $588/month". Customer "That is still too much", Dealer: "We have this fleece deal, oops I mean lease where the monthly payment is less." In reality the customer has no equity in the end, is limited in miles driven and is the same car buying situation in 3 years. Meanwhile they borrowed money at 14% interest (what Dave Ramsey has figured out the average cost of leasing a car's money factor).
First non-negative review i've seen in a while. .Who woulda thought
Great review! Give em’ a call; maybe they’ll listen.
Great to hear. Can't wait for this body on a Rivian skateboard.
"Rollin' boogers like Matthew McConaughey...."
AWESOME 👍
Alright, alright, alright...
Savagegeese, you have become my favourite auto reviewer. Keep it up!
The blacked out buttons, and digital dash is really cool. The details are amazing, especially for an american car. Surprised to know how well it drives, how soft it is, and how nice it rides. Ford is stepping up!
This review nails it. I drove ALL the SUVs in this segment, the Corsair is definitely geared towards luxury. Everything else was trying to be sporty and luxury, which detracts alot from the comfort and smoothness of a vehicle. I ended up buying a Corsair because it does plush best.
I missed Toddd. Welcome back
What kind of camera do you use? It’s mad professional. Best content for car reviews.
He’s back!!!!!!!!! Finally a new outro
Great review! Noticed your LG V40. Nice! Love that phone (I have it, too). How'd it connect to the Android Auto on this?
Another outstanding in-depth video, Mark... (production, commentary, et all > likewise- Mazda MX 5 series... stellar work.) Lincoln displaying a blatant copy of a VW trim piece (where the front fender meets the front door, just under outside mirrors :34) > check out a VW Arteon R-Line for comparison (Any plans to review that car? Looks are top-shelf, but it needs more power than a Golf 4cyl turbo. V6/V8 would do nicely).
The new Lincoln’s have blown me away. If Ford fixes those switch gear issues then the Germans better watch out! Great review!
"Savagegeese. A Rolling Boogers production."
I know auto journalists and car enthusiasts hate modern Nissan but I'm eager for you to review the 2020 Altima specifically the Zero G seats. Seating comfort is usually over looked but when you are stuck in a car for 8 hours it can really open your eyes.

Love the outro
This Corsair has the 20" wheels from the Reserve Appearance package but it doesn't seem to have the Reserve Appearance package fitted to this test unit because it's missing the extended body color along the wheel arches, the lower 1/4 of the doors, & the rear bumper quarter section as well
The best car reviews channel.
Could you please review the new yaris GR? love your honest content!
greetings from Germany
Mad respect for the qualitiy review, especially keeping that car clean in the middle of winter. Except for the prints on the screen. They do look especially disgusting with your face behind them reflecting off the screen. Your choice of music is again exeptional too. The intro, the beginning of the driving segment and Todd's workout at the end have thus "unique" feels to them. Also nice SNL reference with that buggar. Man I wish they would let you host that show!
After that intro I was waiting on Matthew Mcconaughey to pop out and make a cameo🤣🤣
It seems Lincoln has a knack for determining the manufacturer zeitgeist and then doing something pleasingly different. No Lincoln cries "sporty" but all of them can be truly fast. I am impressed with their take on "hybrid", a clever means of adding authoritative power to their offerings with the understanding that purchasers are unlikely to be worried about fuel economy.
Fast luxury
Well, well MR Goose! You finally put the funny back at the end. I will now re subscribe but if it goes away, then so do i. Get it.
It is kinda ironic that you subscribe because of a segment in the video that literally begs you not to do so.
Thank you .... lol sometimes I think you are tooooooooo cynical but this was very helpful ... you nailed who this is for and not everyone wants a "sporty" cuv it is on my list to look at for my next vehicle
First time watching one of your reviews; beautifully shot and your expertise is admirable. I am disappointed that you have to choke on actually liking this car. I have one and have been driving new Lincolns since they began their major overhaul in 2013. Your description includes this car as a "seems to be an attempt to turn the brand around" The "attempt" has been in full swing for seven or eight years. (Many other brands have copied the stand up video screen, foot activated red deck lift, fully adjustable seats, wrap-around LED rear end, etc. etc.) .. It's important to me for buyers who are looking for a great American car, to not have to approach the new Lincolns like they're sneaking up on a road-side bomb. Yeah, I know the foreign competition may have better plastic here and there and a tighter fit in nooks and crannies but none of them can touch this cars' (and all Lincolns) sound systems...for example. You have my permission to give an unqualified, "well..for a Ford" positive impression. :) Thanks for your great work.
Now its 2024. Would love to see a updated review. Had a Lincoln Mark VIII years ago. Bought used with 40k on it. Absolutely loved it. Untill it hit 70K miles. Then everything, and i mean almost everything started falling apart. From plastic parts of the interior, wheel bearings, the air bag suspension system, which honestly when it did work, was awesome. It turned into the Perverbial "Fix Or Repair Daily." But I guess if one is able to renew every 4 years, 50K miles..it would be an awesome car.
I remember about 10 years ago I rented a Ford Edge, which I think it's this car base on. I drove it from SF to L.A, almost nonstop. I was so refresh and not drain by the whole trip; it was the most comfortable cars I've driven, even til today. On the other hand, it's American way to not taken care the minor detail of interior of every car they made. It's the tradition...
Every Lincoln model is the one to "turn the brand around'...
Yep 😂😂
Problem is everytime they turn a corner the germans have turned 2 more with their interior design and materials R&D
Cory C Not recently. The Navigator is fantastic, the Continental is really good but doesn’t sell because it’s a full-size sedan, and now this is pretty damn good too.
You could say the same about Genesis as well or Caddilac. Certain brands just will always be "trying."
@@savagegeese If Lincoln sticks to SUV's, they definitely have turned the corner compared to where they were a generation or two ago.
Lincoln has been mismanaged for 25 years. But now, this is exactly the right product lineup. They get it! Cadillac is still lost.
It may be hard to get people on board and a new car buyer for Lincoln products, but once these things hit the used car market, they’re going to be a great value.
It nice to see the attempt to create new parts (and tones) rather than scouring the Ford parts bin. I like the floating center console/stack/infotainment as well as seat backs.
I'd sure love to see you review the 2020 Toyota RAV4 Adventure!!
The Chime sounds are actually created by the Detroit Orchestra; very original
Saw a Corsair up close, very beautiful machine 👍
I miss Scott.... But those Todd outros.... Holy crap I love them
Please try the aviator because im considering to buy it.
LUL! After the AMAZING NEW Todd exit, Mark goes full Matthew McConaughey rolling and flicking that booger.
That outro, maaan!
Pretty sure he stopped rolling his boogers in the new ads.
You have the best looking car reviews. Your video production values are top notch. Thanks for the effort at making a mundane thing, a car review, entertaining. 👍
THANK YOU! From the Navigator, & Aviator to the Sedans I was seduced by the elegance, and cohesive quality that catches the eye without without wincing, and turning away; a fair assumption given all the chrome & cheap shiny shit they were known for. Thank you for vouching for my sanity. This is the kind of leap in quality only seen in east Asian counties!
Are you actually from Lakemoor? I’m down the street from you in LITH! Great channel!
I would like to see you review a Cadillac
I couldn't care less about Lincoln, I just find them boring but I just enjoy your honest content
Outtro man deserves his own channel.
Bro that room at the end looks sick! Where do you get these vertical LED bars? Are they mounted, or are they placed on the floor?
I was completely ready for you to tear this Corsair appart (after watching the new Explorer video). Wow, that hvac console really moved when you pressed on it. Only in the midwest is "salt" is a driving/weather condition. And to think, some people are favorable to your opinionated review format and would rather have specs regurgitated to them...flicken boogers at the end, classic. Cheers Mark and Jack.
Mr. Goose I am a huge fan of your Videos. They are typically the best and very comprehensive...and usually well shot and edited...that said what happened to the videography in this one? The Driving portion is amost unwatchable...Love the commentary though...
Is the rust standard equipment on this vehicle or is this a patina trim level?
