    We have been camping and camper trailing for 45 years and they are some of th3 best hacks we have seen. A lot we have seen or adopted already but most were new one. Thank you very much. Just one I have used which is great are the ground dog awning pegs and tie downs. Again from Qld and available at shows and online. The pegs hold in sand really well and also in SA hard dirt/rock.

    Great video, my wife and I are hoped to buy a van something like yours next year and do some travelling around. Just something for you to think about, don’t keep your keys, especially your car keys somewhere easy for other people to access. Why I say this, there was couple staying a park here in Cooktown and while they were away from the van someone got hold of they car keys and stole their tow vehicle.
    I never found out if they got it back.

    • @empty_nestadventures

    • @empty_nestadventures
      @empty_nestadventures  Před rokem +1

      Hi guys. The Kickass shower tent was installed on our van from factory. I have since installed one on the car for trips without the van. All you need is a bracket that suits the application. For the Jawa, it was a length of lipped steel that was screwed to the van and awning mounted to that

      @empty_nestadventures  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Isaac. We’ve been on the road for 20 weeks now and been lucky enough to have had only about 4 days of rain! But we do have a butane burner if we need to cook and the awning does a good job with the shady gear and light sunbuster sides. Doesn’t keep every drop out, but all good. We just listen to music and talk

    • @empty_nestadventures
      @empty_nestadventures  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Hi mate, we recently put up a vid on our thoughts on awnings. I’d prefer to stick with the standard, and then spend the money on a good 270 for the car- like a bushwakka. Tested the Supapeg, Bushwakka and Howling Moon awnings, all are good
