CEN Racing Ford Puma 1/8th Rally Review (First look) Does it HOON?

- Hey friends! CEN Racing Ford Puma 1/8 Scale Rally RC Car makes its way to the channel. A quick and simple overview and a preliminary HOON to test it out. I have two other 1/8 scale Rally cars to compare it to so stay tuned. I know most channels put out a new car review, then we never hear about or see it again. Does this have staying power like the formidable HPI WR8 Impreza? Or the near indestructible, little known HSP Rally Kutiger?
We will find out if winter ever shags off!

Hey thanks! Fantastic looks and much more. I did manage to easily snap off a part of the bellcrank with a feather touch accident. Funnily enough, Kevin Talbot just released a video of the same car, (and besides trashing it, usual Talbot shenanigans) he broke the same part, and repaired it the exact same way lol! I will find some suitable rally block tyres for this one I think. Yeah I love it :) All the best dude!

Certainly catches the eye! It takes some getting used to (handling) like the WR8 HPI Impreza, but so much fun. I have not yet tried it on 3s...

Hey thanks! I had a bit of fun with the first run. Right at the end I hit (glancing blow) a rock and the bell-crank snapped. I was rotted to say the least. But it is pretty fun. I can’t wait for the endless i e and snow to retreat! Cheers to you and you yours! Happy new year!

Hey thanks! Yes quite snappy, I have to try it on 3s yet. I think with the slicks on it will be a little too wild to handle. As soon as I get some decent weather I am itching to get them out together. Cheers!
This is assumed to be 1/8 but its between 8 and 10. Nice model but must need some weight additions, shocks for realistic action, also the speed must be reduced.
Ueah, it is a little smaller than my other 1/8, but a tiny bigger than most of my scale 1/10. A little odd. I find it is well tuned already, the suspension is plush. Perhaps I’ll add weight a little front and rear to see if it helps. As for speed, this is only 2s. I think a better servo would definitely help. I am not sure I care for going 3s though. 👍
