Blue Bird - Naruto Shippuuden OP3 [Piano]

The third project of my Top 6 shounen OP's is "Blue Bird", the legendary third opening song from Naruto Shippuuden, performed by Ikimono Gakari!
This song is surprisingly even more famous than I expected: One day, I was playing this piece in my conservatory, and when it was time for me to switch rooms, the person who entered the room asked me, whether I was playing "blue bird" (mind you, she is just a normal music student, not some weeaboo like me). I was so happy to hear the song was recognized!
Anyway, the difficulty of this piece is not as high as my previous two arrangements. It follows closely the original song and I only added an "extended" ending section - basically changing the key of this sheet from minor into major with the final chord.
I also featured a "4-hand technique" for the very first time: two independent melodies, the bass and the main melody. It starts at 2:56 with the third (and final) chorus. Basically, the left hand is playing an independent melody (which simultaneously acts as the bass), while the right hand is playing the main melody plus an additional melody in the higher register.
Be sure to emphasize the thumb of your right hand, if you are playing this passage, so you can clearly follow the main melody.
Unlike my usual recordings, this one was recorded in the morning, since I failed the recording on the day before (I forgot to turn on the microphones...)

This particular cover actually means a lot to me. I used to listen to this song a lot whenever it was first uploaded to CZcams. During that time of my life I was in a very confused place mentally. Some things that were going so well in my life had gone downhill, and I didn’t really understand how to handle those moments and feelings. Music, for me,is a very special way of coping with anxiety and stress. Because it allows you to visualize your feelings and all of your different memories. Naruto was something that was also truly special for me. There was something about his enthusiastic and determined energy that gave me a different way of looking at my struggles in life and helped me find a way to surpass and eventually overcome them. Like a lot of you guys, the show Naruto has taught me so many lessons about life. And that there is no point im giving up. Because there is something greater in store for you in the future. I have learned so much about life through Naruto. As I listened to this song through the years, it allowed myself to look back at those years and and be proud of myself for overcoming my struggles and making it further in my current point in life. This song and this particular cover gives me so much nostalgia and I am immeasurably thankful...

Never watched naruto, never watched any of the animes in my life even i have prejudice against them but i found this piano version of blue bird from a game video and i fell in love. Listening 100th times in a row. It is definately the power of music!

I think its cool how your able to refine sections/transitions/ the entirety of a piece. When you sight read and repeat it over and over again theres always a few parts that are hard to play smoothly. You make that the focus point to make the whole piece on tempo. Repetition really is key.
