Rob actually being just over 5’8 barefoot he has shorter arms and a general shorter look than a 6fter which makes him look really tall in those lifts. It may be my subjective perception but basketball players look shorter than they are because of their unusually long wingspans compared to their heights.

It took a lot of courage for me to write this since I do not usually write comments on you tube but I feel like this time is important that I do. But if I can make even one person feel better it will be worth it. I am a 5’9 man in northern Italy where the average hight is more or less the same as in the US (maybe 1 inch lower) and when I was a teenager I developed 2 years later, so for most of high school I was 5’5-5’6 and one of the shortest guys in my class. Also, my father is 6’1 and the boyfriend of my sister 6’4. So, I really understand how it feels to be short. I know that it feels like everybody is judging you only based on this parameter, girls don’t look at you and you constantly need to prove yourself. Even after high school I was really shy with girls and blamed all my problems on my hight. You start to think shit like god hates you or that you deserve to be miserable because you were born this way. You close in yourself and do not talk to others about it because you do not want to be judged and because you think it would not change anything anyway. It got so bad I avoided going to crowded places because I hated seeing couples where the guy was tall, and I could just lay in bad all day telling myself I was worthless. But with time I have realized that if your hight prevents you from approaching girls and it makes you feel this way, your hight is only your second biggest problem. Your hight complex is your first problem and you should work on resolving that.
I have many examples from my personal life on why if you think like this guy your attitude is the problem. First, one of my best friends that is as tall as me, is quite good looking, has style and is quite charismatic has always had 7/10-8/10 gfs and he has switched a lot of them. Another friend of mine who is 5’7 has had a stable cute girlfriend for years. Another one I know (5’7) has gone out with one of the most good looking girls of my city and now has another cute girlfriend. When I was in France in Erasmus a roommate of mine was a 5’7 Mexican guy always hanging out with girls and scoring some of them (also a great guy in general).
One of my best friends in high school was a literal 9/10. Good looking 6’3 guy with light blue eyes and very fit. But he felt very insecure because he had sweaty hands and he had first girlfriend when he was 20. She was a real bitch and she scarred him making him feel even more insecure.
What I am trying to say is that hight is only one of your characteristics. You can improve in character, charisma, style, outgoingness, hobbies, education, and other stuff and make up for it. I am not saying that girls will not notice your hight, I am saying that it is not the end of the world.
Being short is only one of the things in your life that is not up to your decision and is not fair. Like having a disability, losing a family member, being born poor, or in a bad family or in a less developed country, having a short dick, getting bald, getting sick or a thousand more. You can’t just base your entire happiness on being perfect or you will never be happy and this has nothing to do with your hight. To the people that say girls on tinder wont date guys shorter than 6’ I tell: think about you being short like being born black in a country where 20-30% of girls are racist. You know that some girls will look at you and not even give you a possibility, but you also know that some girls look through that and some don’t even care. It is full of interracial couples around. Also, don’t be shocked by how entitled some girls are about hight. If you search on google you will probably find black girls crazy enough to state that they would not date black guys. And at the end they are also hurting themselves too, going behind 7’ feet, good looking guys that can choose between 10 other girls and that will likely treat them like crap.
Also, life is not how many girls you fuck, you can have a thousand different hobbies and be happier than guys that fuck bitches only to prove their worth. You only need one girl in your life to be happy and some guys are perfectly fine with only friends and hobbies. After accepting this I asked my friends to help me find a girl and in just a couple of months I found one. It is not that hard if you push yourself outside the comfort zone and you stop obsessing about your defects. Every girl deserves a confident man. One of my exs even told me that in her opinion I was tall (she was from the south where guys are a little bit shorter on average).
Also, later in life looks count less and less and your job and position in society becomes more important. I personally know at least 2 couples where the wife is very good looking and the guy is short and quite ugly but has a good job.
If you have read up until know it means that this comment speaks to you. Don’t fall in the rabbit hole of social media and you tube videos where girls are displayed shitting on guys due to their hight or other nasty comments of this sort. I am not saying that hight does not matter but if you can compensate with other qualities only a minority of girls will still reject you.
A good rule to start is to cut off content that makes you feel like shit for your hight in social media and you tube. Start blocking accounts now! Then speak about how you feel with people close to you like your parents. SEEK COUNSELLING, REALLY DO IT. It is worth it I can swear. However, if you do not have the money buy a book on overcoming lack of self esteem and follow it. It really changed my life. I used Self-esteem by Matthew Mckay. Good luck on your journey of accepting yourself. It took me 1,5h to write this comment so if you feel moved by it hit the like and tell me your experience so that more people can see it and we can foster positivity. Good luck guys. You are not alone.

Your friend who sweats alot from his hands, i had the same problem, the best way to fix it is with a machine called dermadry, there are other options like bottox or even surgery, but bottox only last 6 months and its expensive to be doing from 6 to 6 months, and surgery can have side effects like compensatory sweat, wich sucks if it goes from hands to forehead, this machine is like 200-300 bucks, had mine for over 3 years now, it absolutely works, you should tell him to give it a try, 20 minutes a day, in 1 month max 2 he will have NO sweat coming from his hands and when he reaches this point of not sweating, he can start doing it less to just maintain, like 3-4 times a week, just saying this cuz i knew the struggle xD

      That was a joke!
Men and women lie all the time about their high. I was dating a guy who told me she was 5'9 but I was a head taller than him. Very disappointing since I like tall guys, not discrimination or pond intended but I don't feel attracted by short guys.

Here’s a guide to enhancing height with shoe lifts (this excludes elevator shoes where the additional lift is built in, as I personally don’t like these shoes).
    1. Stick to appropriate footwear that have a higher cut (high tops, boots, Chelsea boots, any shoe with a high rise ankle support) so that the lift is not visible when the shoe is stationary and on the floor. The lower the cut of the shoe, the smaller the lift should be. If you want to wear a lower cut shoe, then try to get most of the enhancement from the shoe itself, so that the amount of additional lift you need is minimal (such as Nike 2090s which add 1.5 inches of height alone, all you need is a 0.5 inch lift to get 2 inches in total), which links to the next step.
    2. Wear shoes that already give more height, so that the amount needed from the lift is reduced: such as Nike air max, timberlands or similar, and formal boots with a thicker heel. That way, if in the rare circumstance someone comments that you’re taller, you can tribute that to your timberlands being a chunky boot etc.
    3. Generally, do not enhance by more than 3 inches (this includes the regular height of the inbuilt heel/sole and additional lift). Exceptions are if it’s required on a movie/tv show set by the costume department, or if cosplaying as a taller character.
    4. Enhancement should be context dependent. If with close family, no more than 1.5-2 inches. If visiting a location where you have to remove your shoes, no more than 1.5 inches. If in public areas where you won’t be removing shoes, 2 inches is fine, and 3 inches in some situations (ideally 2.7 being the highest). The taller you already are, the more of a lift you can get away with as bare foot you will already still be taller than most.
    5. Use indoor footwear to reduce the difference between bare foot and enhanced foot wear, i.e. wearing a 1 inch slider/slipper for indoor use, after returning home wearing a 2 inch shoe, will show a less exaggerated difference in height. This is where taking a girl back to your home may be better than going back to hers. When you return home from the date with her, simply take off your enhanced footwear and put on your sliders, and then when going into the bed with her, slip your sliders off just before entering, and put them on subtlety when walking again. When travelling anywhere where you will be staying overnight, bring your sliders. If in the rare circumstance anyone comments on why you like to wear sliders, say that you naturally have flatter feet and it’s recommended to wear sliders that have arch support or some bs.
    6. Always keep the original shoe insole inside the shoe with the lift; remove the original insole without damaging them, insert the enhanced lift and then place the original insole on top of the lift. This is so that, if someone were to look into your shoes, they would not see a foreign lift inside but only the insole that came as part of the shoe.
    7. Wear the correct leg wear, that accommodates the thicker shoe/enhancement. This includes flared/bootcut jeans, trousers, and jogging pants. See men in the 80s as an example, or politicians who wear enhanced footwear. Stay away from slim or skinny fit trousers. Ideally, the bottom of the trouser should cover a large part of the shoe to make them look less obvious. This doesn’t mean you have to wear baggy trousers. The trouser can be fitter on the thighs and seat area, but as long as it gradually flares out towards the lower half of the left, this should give the desired effect.
    8. Bonus: never talk about shoe lifts, enhancement or height, as you want the enhancement to be subtle. If anyone asks about your height, claim at most 1 inch above your actual height (i.e. if you are 5’9, you can claim 5’10) or say just over 5’9, even if your shoes make you 5’11+.
    9. Additional Bonus: accept your height! Especially if you are average, close to average or above average, there is nothing to be concerned about. This guide is about enhancing, just a little more ‘vertical superiority’, and nothing more. It’s no different than getting the right haircut that suits your head shape, or working out to look better, or wearing the right fitting clothes to accentuate your physique. It’s all part of being the best version of yourself!

Maybe it also depends on your weight? If you’re heavier then it will compress (don’t know if that’s the right word, but I hope you get the point) the shoe pads since it’s sort of made from rubber. Last time I measured myself, I was around 5’2 and I believe my mother and sisters are the same height and my father is around 5’5 and I look as tall or even taller than my dad when I’m wearing shoes with the shoe pads. It says it will add 3 inches to your height which I believe because if I’m the same height as my dad then it did add about 3 inches

I can't wear shoe lifts, due to a chronic foot problem of mine. I always liked small shoes, especially brands like Slazenger. That was, until I discovered Heavy Metal, and started wearing New rock Boots, which are small platforms ranging from 1 - 4 inches in thickness. I absolutely love the style, and Metal plating and adornments. I wear 1.5s, and people still think its to make me taller, but its not. Im 1.77m, and perfectly comfortable. I don't want to be taller, definitely not enough to make my feet worse

I disagree with all the hate towards lifts. All boots make you taller. So if you put inserts in, and people know you're shorter, you can say "well yeah I'm wearing boots". If your Tinder says 5'7" and then you show up to a date 5'9" just say "yeah I'm wearing boots". It's actually a plus for girls. If you're the same height as them, they're going to be taller than you by wearing heels, which might make you insecure. If you wear lifts, you can both look taller. Win win. As long as you're honest with someone you're trying to date about your actual height, they probably won't care. What's more eye catching is your actual appearance (style, haircut, fitness, teeth etc) and your personality. A couple inches really doesn't matter that much.

LOL. Yea that is until you take your shoes off. What a silly idea for that aspect. But I do know people are shallow, even when it comes to entry level jobs in some companies, looks do matter. But the reality sometimes shorter men that above average in looks and in good shape, that will negate the height, but also personality is a big component. I have heard people say be more confident, well that isn't easy to be more confident, if you already have some trait that is considered a mark against you (height, weight, etc), the way you talk (the way you talk isn't always so easy to fix as many people make it seem).

Bro if you're at the beach or wearing sandals ect , you cannot wear boots everyday, plus its uncomfortable wearing lifts , and if you meet a girl lets say she's 1.72m and you are 1.70 but with massive lifts you are 1.80cm , the first time you walk barefoot next to her at the beach or a pool party , she's goning to be like , " fuck this guy shrunk"

the taller u are as well the more height u would lose. its because of ur weight and ur height being on ur spine constantly, and so if they are both high, you lose more height. for me, im 6'9.1* and im 173.7* on average. my tallest is 6'9.5* yet my lowest is 6'8.75* Sometimes it even reaches 6'8.5*. But overall, it depends on all the pressure u put on ur spine. with u reaching the 6 feet range, it makes sense why u lose so much height, and main thing is, if u do a lot of exercise and all, that'd also make u lose more height

It depends on the material that the lifts are made out of. It's better to get lifts that are a hard plastic and then put a soft insole on top for comfort. Better stability and more height. I made some lifts out of closed cell insulative foam so I could carve it to the shape of my foot + it doesn't compress. Then put my insole on top.

After examining heights for over a year I’ve made a conclusion…
I believe that 176cm/5’9.25 at night time(aka your lowest height) is the truly minimum height where height is no longer a noticeable issue and you will never get called short here by most people, and won’t feel short almost anywhere other than Balkans/Netherlands and even there it’s just the cusp of short so never very short anywhere!
also it’s the lowest “tolerable” height for me personally…I’m 190cm/6’3 myself
