The justice system here (Liberia) is TERRIBLE. They used her “contradicting statements” as a cover up, because he probably bribed the judge, and now they can’t try him again for the same crime. You can literally get away with anything in this country as long as you have the money. I once took an assault case to our local precinct. The officer in charge asked me to give him USD $60 before he did any investigation or arrest. Imagine someone assaulting you, and YOU the victim has to pay money to open an investigation.

I still don’t know how Lucas was found Not Guilty! This is how terrible our justice systems are run in this part of the world. We are still subservient to our former slave masters, even when adjudicating judgements that involve the life of another. We are all at risk, this is not just limited to Liberia 🇱🇷 only. Immediately Lucas was found not guilty, he left the country the next day as a free man.

Unfortunately in a lot of African countries, A lot of Africans see white people as God they respect white people more than their people; they even think that these people do nothing wrong. And that happened more in Liberia, so I'm not surprised about the court decision the whole Liberian system is a failure to Africa. They need to get out of the slavery mentality and do better; Liberians deserve better. I’m a Liberian, living here and followed this entire story, in fact I was one of the passersby that rescued Jesica. We (citizens) arrested Lucas and took him to the nearby Police Station. I still don’t know how Lucas was found Not Guilty! This is how terrible our justice systems are run in this part of the world. We are still subservient to our former slave masters, even when adjudicating judgements that involve the life of another. We are all at risk, this is not just limited to Liberia 🇱🇷 only. Immediately Lucas was found not guilty, he left the country the next day as a free man.
So what happened to Jessica's pregnancy?
And what does his wife in America have to say about this ???????
