Let me put this into some perspective. In 2008 the lions rolled over every team in preseason. They beat the giants by 2, the bengals by 17, the browns by 20, and the bills by 8.
They then went on to lose every game in the regular season.
Im absolutely not saying that will happen to the bears, what i am saying... preseason means less then nothing when evaluating how good a team/player will be once the season starts.
Kenny Pickett was actually perfect in preseason last season & we saw how that ended 😂

We’ve had a franchise QB. Just not like Caleb.
He did nothing Justin Fields couldn't do. They coddled him in 7 man protection. Give Fields, Keenan Allen, DJ Moore, Swift, Everett, and Odunze. Bears ruined their superbowl. Shouldve traded down, drafted Joe Alt, Latu, and Bowers.
I like Justin and want to see him thrive. But Justin is still making rookie mistakes and doesn’t comprehend at a veteran level still. He worries more about his physical rather than becoming a savant. One thing that stuck w me w fields is he said “football isn’t my life”. And it shows. You have to be obsessed to be great.

Regardless that the teams better, you still have to execute properly and read the defenses. The throws he made weren’t easy at all. But the protection was there along w receivers knowing how to get open.

Bears finally have a ball player, play maker, and field general at that position and not just an athletic game manager. They finally have a guy the OC can go deep into the playbook with and not a just guy that they have to dumb everything down for to where they can't go beyond just the basic package of plays.
