Bush and Bill Clinton shared the stage in Dallas Thursday for the graduation ceremony of the first class of Presidential Leadership Scholars, a project sponsored by their presidential libraries. They talked about the 2016 election and their family members who are running for the White House. They also got candid about becoming grandfathers. Vladimir Duthiers reports.

You know I'm getting the idea that Bush may just be a kinda socially awkward guy. I mean that would account for all the weird social faux pas' he performed in the past too (re: Merkel incident). Maybe he wasn't dumb, he was really smart actually, but when it came to social interaction a bit...behind. Which is kinda weird for a president especially in modern times, we sorta expect all presidents now to be these super charismatic characters.
It is so refreshing to see people of opposite parties and ideologies treat each other with respect and kindness. I miss the days when Americans respected each other based on the profound love of our flag. Today it seems that the loyalty to individual politicians is much more important than the respect we should have to each other as citizens.

Edit (4/20): I've changed mind. I had forgotten he didn't take 9/11 seriously. I forgot that his response to said attack was to invade the wrong country, Iraq. I had forgotten that he was a war criminal. I had forgotten his response to Hurricane Katrina. I had forgotten his participation in the stock market and financial crash of 2008. I had forgotten about the deficit blowing up tremendously under his administration while accomplishing nothing. I had also forgotten about his extreme homophobia. Someone had reminded me and didn't think it was right that he was able to rehabilitate his reputation. And I agree

@@youtubeisgay6701 Pennsylvania, Michigan and Nevada counts are beyond the threshould of a recount. And no recount in history has swayed more than a few hundred votes. How do you figure your chances are on Wisconsin, Arizona and Georgia ? Historically they are non-existant.
Oh .. and the alleged voter fraud from people voting in states, they don't live in anymore has also been debunked. It turned out, that the Trump campaign didn't understand voting, where military personel vote in the state, they are registered in and have their home residence, while their address is registered at the base they are assigned to. Not that those couple thousand votes will make a large enough dent either, if there was a case to be made. Which there isn't.

I voted for Obama, but I think in the Obama vs McCain election, the country was in a win/win situation. The thing that makes me most proud to be an American is watching the Obama and Bush families interact. THAT to me is what this country is all about, politics aside.

To win in politics you have to be likeable. Period. Both these guy are likeable to an average American. Not so for Hillary. To be fair, it probably is harder for a female to joke around and be likeable. But that's the way it is.
