I cried about this because my grandma has used to have 2 dogs they were best friends and one died the other one is about to die soon since one of them died I was the others best friend😢😭🥺
I understand this scene EXACTLY. My parents weren’t getting along, and my dad wasn’t staying at the house. So, my mom didn’t wanna take care of our dogs. My sister was already moved out, and had a friend who wanted our dog, Izzy. So we gave her to her. I still have my dog, Molly, and I hope we don’t get rid of her.

It reminds me of what my papa told me about when he was a teenager or a kid (he is my grandad on my dad's side) he had a pitbull or some kind of bulldog, and it was the nicest dog that could ever be. One day he was out somewhere and he had his dog with him, and there was another family, and this boy kept poking the dog with a stick, and people kept telling him to stop, but he wouldn't stop. Even his parents told him to stop, then the dog had enough and got agitated, and he bit the boy's ear, he had to get several stitches, my papa had to give away the dog just because the kid got bit, it wasn't the dogs fault, the boy agitated him. Remember animals are not always bad, and animals aren't civilized. Animals have their limits, and any type of creature can get agitated
I wish I could see my dog again and say to him how much I missed him when we try to get him with us but we can’t get him in time that was the hardest thing i ever did and what destroyed my soul was receiving the notification he die of sadness honestly after that I never was the same for that. now I have a new dog but I still miss him deeply.
Reminds me of my old friend. Duke was his name when I was little. He was a good dog and a good friend to me. But now that he’s gone I always miss him everyday. So I’m almost like homer in a way. Duke was my friend. I still dream about him everyday
