Not even legal in EU in terms of what they've done, changing the EOD content for one day to another, instead of what they origninally sold it as (contetwise)

I won't be telling ANYONE to buy eft anymore. Many people will be on the same boat as me. Long-term this will hurt bsg financially way more than the short-term gains of this stupid $250 edition.

What are you even talking about? The servers are loaded with people and I've destroyed tons of people with the Unheard upgrade. Everyone is crying on CZcams while the game is thriving. I have killed more players post launch of the dlc than prior. All of your comments are insane.

The big problem for me is that even before this werent they trying to tell us arena wasnt a dlc either?
Which makes making Arena before finishing their promise to finish Tarkov WITH Tarkov promise money all the more scummy.
Also I guarantee Arena flopping is why Nikita did this. He spent a bunch of money developing a second broken game instead of finishing the first as he promised, and now he's trying to get the money back. Any way he can, even at the cost of tarkov.
Pestilly literally broke Nikita when he dumped all the feedback on him. We all thought he was taking notes when he was actually writing a manifesto before going postal.
This feels like a pretty accurate take on the subject. Russians are a pretty arrogant culture, and they don't take criticism well, on the rare occasion that they take it at all. I've known a couple of russians personally and every one of them acted like they were above everyone else. I can absolutely imagine Nikita and his boys puffing up their chests, slamming their shoes on the table and yelling that this is THEIR game and THEY are the bosses. Totally fits.

EFT takes so much effort to get into. It's emotionally draining. This was the last straw. There is literally nothing they can do to win me back. At this point I'd prefer a game mostly driven by AI with human guidance giving the humans enough time to actually take care of the community and focus on a healthy ecosystem around the game to drive profits. From merch to simple community highlights. BSG can do so much and they do so little. They don't care about EFT. Nikita only cares about the inhouse assets they get to create via the tunneling of money from players via EFT.

I agree but generally speaking but usually they drop the patch notes right before I have dinner so then I film the patch notes video then go have dinner then spend time with fam and go to bed so it's a bit of a tradition in when they drop. People generally like the fact that I can explain stuff or the history of changes that lead to things in patch notes. So yeah unfortunately this one caught me off guard a bit but such is life

@@levitategrin it keeps scavs over 60 meters from shooting you but it doesnt stop the ones under that, so if u end up having to kill one up close you lose fence rep, if you dont bring the device in then its just like normal, no rep loss, ive played it, it kinda balances itself out

Nah. Plenty of people will continue playing regardless. Others will see this as a great opportunity to become a tarkov streamer what with most of the big streamers not playing tarkov for awhile. 14k viewers right now. Next wipe most of the people complaining will be back and BSG knows it. Im willing to bet this time next year all the main tarkov streamers will be playing tarkov with the unheard edition.
I could care less. I didn't pay for the EOD edition, I never thought of buying it because I thought it was useless. I was wrong, it was p2w, but never really thought they would fvck their own customers hahaha nonetheless, I am gonna keep playing the game. I don't care. It's a good game. People can protest however they want, but still, they'll come back a month later or two, and pretend that this never happened.

Well if you're unhappy with the 'DLC' you get from owning EoD, enjoy these 6 months of 'matchmaking like a normal game would'. The whole idea that there is a premium matchmaking 'subscription' is beyond me, using it to try and appease the people who will never get any of the promised EoD benefits(besides stash space) is almost enough to give me an aneurysm
The price is an after thought, just blatant lying and them just shafting the community. If they just introduced a 20 euro upgrade for coop and went further into paid cosmetics, I wouldve happily supported them. But not this bullshit
Its $250 literally only because the long standing upgrade system. They had to release it over the EOD price or everyone at EOD would of had claim to it for free. No fucking way some random gamer is going to pay $250 out the gate to try the game.

The whole thing that pisses me off the most is that people support a great project in early 2018 by buying EoD where you are promised certain features and then 6 years later they just take away about half of the things you already paid for.

It's still on BSG and not the people who bought a version of the game expecting what was advertised. Their weaselly definition of what's dlc and what's a "feature" is 100% them trying to get out of what they promised. They should move to making tarkov singleplayer with peer to peer mp if they can't handle server costs.

Thats what I said..BSG not finishing tarkov and using the money they got for the promise of finishing it to fund Arena BEFORE completing tarkov was a major breach of contract if not legally, definitely morally.
I've been playing for a very long time, I even have an Alpha armband, but i knew this day was coming and I'm so happy they're burning themselves down, this game doesnt deserve the community it has, wait sorry the game does, but the developers dont.

Pestily has always been joking about "Tarkov prime" and server prio, i guess BSG took that personally.
So uh how does that solo mode mod work?
The mod? look up SPT-AKI
It's pretty simple, it makes a copy of your existing game files, downgrades them to the version the SPT team are working with, then patches them with the SPT mod files so the game can run in offline as if it were the server.
Nothing shady about it at all, been playing it for nigh on two years now.

And the mods are pretty easy to add as well, from what I remember. It's very plug and play

How to Save Tarkov:
*1. Admit wrongdoing and apologize.*
- (This may be the biggest ask on this list, I know.)
- It's been made clear whoever is running BSG's socials does not have their emotions in check. Unprofessional comments have been made to competitors in the space, and BSG has tripled down on their claims while disregarding the feedback and overall sentiment of the community.
- All we want is to feel heard, an official apology must be made.
*2. Temporarily Roll back the Unheard Edition*
- Individually, every perk inside this edition is not game-breaking, but everything put together, at a price tag of $250 USD, it is clear this edition must be reworked
- Do not offer refunds, that would get too complicated.
- Simply remove the edition from sale while they work out the details on what to fix and how.
*3. Make "Distress signal device" and "Mark of The Unheard" PvE only.*
- This ONE change would remove all major concerns of Pay to Win mechanics from the new bundle.
- These mechanics are fine additions to the game, but only if they are present in PvE game mode only.
*4. Give EOD Edition Owners access to PvE*
- No matter which way you slice it, PvE mode is a downloadable update that attaches to the main game.
- This is by definition DLC, and should be given to EOD owners free of charge.
*5. Make PvE Mode a separate add-on purchase to Main Game*
- $50 gets you the new PvE mode, if you don't have EOD edition.
- This PvE mode is an amazing addition to Tarkov, and could help new players enter the extremely punishing genre that is Tarkov. But locking it behind a $250 is not just idiotic, it disregards the barrier of entry and longevity of the game.
*6. Offer a NEW Secure Container.*
- This new secure container is a 2x2 with an additional 1x1 slot.
- Think Alpha Container, but with one extra separated slot.
- Gamma container was supposed to be EOD exclusive, this is why websites have been changed and dev vlogs have been hidden.
- Offer this new edition a container that is better than Alpha, but not as good as Gamma.
*7. Make the increased Pocket Size unlock-able via quests with Ragman*
- This mechanic is pay to win. It may not offer a severe advantage, but it is pay to win nonetheless.
- This mechanic must be made available to unlock for free for all players.irst and foremost, a
How to Monetize Going Forward:
* Weapon Camo Bundle (New Item)
* If purchased, you receive daily / weekly mail from Ragman with paint buckets. These paint buckets can be applied to weapons to change their color in-game.
* Paint buckets can be found in raid and bartered for, but are extremely extremely rare.
* Paint buckets are not unlimited use, and have limited uses before you need to find another one.
* Making paint buckets spawn in raid would remove all arguments about potential Pay to Win mechanics since they can be found for free.
* Introduce an "Artistry Skill"
* When you first apply weapon camos to your weapon, it's messy and patchy, but as you level this skill up you can completely cover the weapon making it look clean.
* Voice Line Bundles
* Add voice line packs that can be purchased.
* This would add new funny interactions to Tarkov, people would make content about it, and it would bring more people in that spend money.
* Weapon Charms
* Rainbow Six, Valorant, Arena Breakout, they all have weapon charms.
* This mechanic adds a nice flair to your weapons but does not give you an advantage.
* They could even introduce streamer weapon charms like Rainbow Six Siege.
* A new module can be crafted in the hideout for crafting these cosmetics.
* If you die with a gun that has a weapon charm or a weapon skin, you lose that but it can be crafted in hideout again.
* Add New Cosmetics.
* Let players purchase new gloves
* New boots for purchase.
* New melee weapons for purchase.
* You see where I'm going with this.
* Add Hideout Cosmetics
* This is in the realm of the "Hideout Cat"
* Adding in new items to purchase to further personalize your hideout, without game-breaking pay to win mechanics.
* Think of Clash Of Clans reskinning your base. You could have entire hideout overhauls that change the look and feel of your hideout.
* Add new PMC Operators.
* No, I'm not talking about Nicki Minaj skins that are bright pink.
* I'm talking about badass looking soldiers that fit the aesthetic of the game.
I’m sorry but 50£ for PVE addon is insane but everything else is fine.

Good points, I agree with basically all of them, but like you yourself said, that first one is probably just too much to expect. Russian devs are NOTORIOUS for being resistant to admitting any kind of fault and apologising. I say this as someone with more than a decade of playing games by RU devs and I have never seen or heard them make an actual apology. They *might* make some kind of half assed "we are sorry about how the community reacted to the news we were excited to share" -kind of "apology". The mistakes they make they will fix, IF and only if it means they can actually make more money by fixing them. But as goodwill? Nah.
If this were to all happen they would have to offer refunds. You can’t sell something wait for a bunch of people to buy it roll it back completely change it and then just say oh well. That’s not what people bought it for so if they don’t like the reworked addition they would need to refund it
The main problem is the pricing, $250+tax is crazy. Most EOD owners would pay $30-$50 for the upgrade. Asking for the equivalent of another full EOD is wild.
Before even discussing the cost, violating a sales contract and then gaslighting the impacted party is WILD behavior.

I don’t doubt that this is a short-term revenue bump over but it will decimate long term revenue potential. This is the kind of reputational damage that kills products.

Offline co-op Tarkov should be a standalone edition, completely separate from the base game, because:
1. It would be a new-player friendly version for people trying out Tarkov.
2. It would draw in more players to buy the full game, ultimately giving bsg way more funding.
3. BSG wouldn’t need to pay for servers to run offline modes.
4. Lots of people would stop using third-party offline mods, since the offline version of Tarkov could be priced so that its cheaper than buying a standard edition of the game and then modding it.
It should be a standard feature. You should be able to play PVE, or PVP. Most games offer this as part of the base game. Not everyone likes PVP (especially with the amount of cheaters in FPS games these days). This would give BOTH sides of the spectrum a way to enjoy the game however they wish. It shouldn't be a purchasable option other than buying the game in the first place.
Buying a game full of cheaters for that kind of money is idiotic.

Instead of P2W'ing stats. Maybe you could get some bonus starting stats for your next season... depending on your performance for that wipe or some such.

unfortunately i think you're a bit of a community leader when it comes to tarkov moite, your word carries weight and if you're soft on a company thats ripping off the fans and community, they'll think its acceptable once the dust settles.
I've already sue'd them, their move to try changing EOD details in their site was dirty and just made everything worse.
