3 years ago you taught me how to connect multiple rotors to blast doors to make ramps. Here you are, still hard at work making unique and interesting content. It's always a pleasure watching your stuff!
Hell yeah brother
@@BlackArmor718 can you make a War of The Worlds’ Fighting Machine/strider (here is an example czcams.com/video/bERNcnaT-ko/video.html )
@@trolly4233 Gonna be blunt with you, but it's more likely that it'll be built if you try to make it yourself over asking someone else to make it for you.
I've got to say, beyond Splitsie's and W4stedSpace's "basic" SE tips and tutorials, this is hands down the best SE tips series. Your designs are absolutely mind-blowing. It's like Lego-Technic for NASA engineers (or maybe SpaceX engineers??).
Keep up the good work! I'd really love to see you and Splitsie do something collaborative - and maybe that would get you more CZcams subs, because man your content is absolutely superb!
Valid! This stuff is more for people who have grown bored with the basics and want to try something new. Thanks for commenting!
@BlackArmor718 I'm pretty new to your channel. I hate to see that you haven't posted a video in some time because I think your videos are the best, hope things are well
This man is a legend. Hands down
the cargo ship might not be practical but it is to me the essence of what space engineers is. always showing me things i did not know i needed to know. if it is not over engineered it is not space engineers.
Well spoken!
Your creativity is off the charts. True engineering is art, and you're proving it here. ♥️
Thanks Super!
Agreed... this coming from a fine artist... i wish i had realized when i was younger how much actual engineering goes into fine art and creative thinking... id of taken more math and engineering type classes in college. Keep em coming bud... new sub earned today.
@@kevinpittman2517 half of engineering is creativity. The other half is number crunching and paper jockeying. Let your mind wander, you'll surprise yourself.
You can also press "B" to align to gravity. I have a ridiculously sub-gridded walker I'm building that I just grabbed by the body because I wasn't sure if it was going to just copy/paste a leg if I grabbed a leg or a foot, but it always starts pasting in with that free rotation thing, but I tap B and it aligns to gravity and changes from granular adjustment to 3 AXIS adjustment. Just a thought on that.
That point about setting a timer to trigger the attach function and itself is going to come in, so, SO useful for me. Thanks!!
Sweet, glad to hear it
dude... HOW are you so insanely creative with all this??????
Already liked it before I saw the video.. knowing the tips will come in handy xD Thnx BlackArmor!
Noice! You're welcome
Same
This is some mind blowing stuff. I feel like a "paint by numbers" guy watching a Rembrandt.
Thanks Herman
19:43 been struggling with how to set up a reliable reloading system, this was a massive help!
that spool of hinges is what i use for gravity drilling. mag plate to keep the drill from swinging around or locking depth for drag mining ice
This reminds me of THFE when halo reachs Forge was hot back in the day, I used to stay up late watching Forge Aesthetic tutorials a day build reviews just to get ideas 😂
1500+ hours on record.
Watching this makes me feel like i started yesterday.
I'm happy to hear you learned a thing or two
I've been playing Space Engineers since it was in beta, if I remember correctly right around the time weapons first got added. It still amazes me with how much time I have in this game, there is still so much I haven't learned. Love your videos, keep it up!
Aready used that glass trick. But never thought about removing the blocks beneath it for a better color balance.
MIND BLOWN!!
Cant wait to see the madness people as creative as you get up to with the new event manager thing coming soon lol
This is the type of content that I love and crave.
I like to think you’ll find a lot of it here
@@BlackArmor718 So far so good after about 5 or 6 videos. Keep up the good work.
@@FH-cn3mg He do be binging lol
Hellow from 2 years into the future of this video. Alot of tips are still valid and helped my skull wrap around many issues I've had. Seventh time watching this video.
Awesome to hear that!
Alot of these are very simple but you wouldn't think of it unit he points it out. Great videos and very helpful. Im gonna make some fun improvements to my ships and rover
Glad to hear it!
You nevercease to amaze me!
Glad to hear it
You never fails to blow my mind up. Keep doing~! :D
Will do!
Here I am struggling to build a flying miner ship that wouldn't flip on me, meanwhile this guy is building Rube Goldberg machines inside SE! Mindblowing stuff! :D
Appreciate it my dude!
Just got the game a week ago and these are some of the best videos I've found so far.
This is a solid bit of info. I bet those new armor plates are helping with your style.
Their uses will present themselves in time
I have been impressed by the intro. :)
Amazing videos. Thanks so much!
I love being a builder in most of the games I play from Ark to Minecraft to Sims to SE. Your aesthetic tips have been a god send! Keep up the ingenuity, Engineer!
for the multi rotor stop location you could have compact hanger where only the ship you need is in reach, and the rest are behind a wall, and it will rotate the rack to the ship you want
Came back to this to re learn things I forgot. Still useful.
Wow, the imagination and skill you have is incredible. I think you could design anything. IQ+
Thanks Michael!
with your multiple rotor stop locations you could use wheels with suspension to make a slow affect when it spins around
Good call
Thats the most creative intro iv ever seen. Great work buddy
Thanks Roberto
Ive discovered the self trigger timer block a few weeks ago. I also used it for small grid dumb ion missiles to accelerate itself with propulsion override
This man make some sick ass Zoids.
Almost got my 1st Gunship prototype done,
Also NOICE 👍 Tip's N Trick's
Fun how things like the piston slowdown are always hiding in plain sight :D Nice catch there
Thanks hali
I have over 5300hrs in game, yet every video of yours I learn or take something new. Keep it up!
Hell yeah brother
Dude, you're insane - This game needs more ppl like u.
Thanks Damian
I admire you not for the creativity in your builds but for the patience to realise those builds in SE's … "uniqueness".
Using angled arrmor pieces instead of plane cubes can help create patterns in long stretches of flat armor... like as wall of a base or the hiull of a larger ship.
It's crazy how you figured all this out to make all these. Just amazing 👏
Man you're really pushing these out frequently now, this was possibly the best video of the series yet and definitely the most helpful to me, thanks!
Keep it up! I'm eager to try some of these ideas in my own creative ways now ^^
Somehow it took me 3 months to discover "Clever Tips" series. Really brilliant and cool tricks. These videos inspired me to get back into building. Well done, sir! Looking forward for more content :) o7
Wow it has been 3 months already.... O7 glad to hear about the inspiration!
I like the little battle mech. Awsome.
Bro I just sat here and watched the whole damn 5 episodes, took notes, and now on an emotional roller coaster about my creativity, life in general, and where the fuck episode 6 is! Great videos man. Thank you for the info!
Haha love this! Have a look at the projector tips too then
@@BlackArmor718 Ok so immediately tested my learning. Got the retractable piston (tried a connecter but didn't fit) BUT.... couldn't get the sensor spotlight thing to work at all. Any pointers in terms of the programming what blocks to communicate with which others?
@@AKAchillez The convenient thing for you is there is a spotlight block in the game now that does the same thing but much better. Also the custom turret controller could be used to the same effect.
If you're dead set on using a sensor gyro setup still then you need to set up the sensors to only look at their specific side, and when they see something, they turn on their specific gyro with an override setting. If you mirror the gyros to each other, then you can give them the same rpm setting and they will turn opposite ways
@@BlackArmor718 Yeah I saw the spotlight but wanted to give it a shot and learn more about sensors. Never used them at all. I will give this a shot!
'so I realise that this is not exactly practical, but what it is, is fun'
Space engineers in a sentence
Mitchell gets it
Seriously amazing! I really enjoy how you show us a new way(s) to use blocks and some example applications. Well done!
Glad you liked it!
Awesome tips, I've been hypnotise !
Thank you for these videos!
I am just getting into the game and these tips really help me improve!
I built a self constructing space elevator using the rotor head attachment. Worked beautifully, until I got ambitious and cranked up the speed as much as I could. Fun crash to watch lol
Huh, another person who knows the Zoids Universe. Hail to you, pilot!
Zoids is my jam
What a shame for the game that these tips aren't written anywhere. It can do so much and many players won't ever notice, so thanks a lot for doing this. Love your videos and keep it up.
It’s more that it’s just stuff you gotta figure out for yourself
Love your videos thanks for taking time to make them.
Now I need to go update the elevator in the Union Dropship I'm slowly building. Thanks for the great tips. (:
15:50 i have heared now several times of servers which use a mod named 'aww scrap' i believe, which does not give you componets but ressources when you grind things down. I guess this ship of yours would be excellent for salvaging operations. So for those conditions it is very practical i would say.
With 2000 hours into SE, I've never used scripts, rotors, pistons, timer blocks or welders or been very detail oriented . . . . . . I think you've inspired me to pay more attention and experiment more.
What have you been doing without the best blocks in the game?
Another quality video. Well done.
Thanks Jeremy
Please make a video on the hinge winch/spool. Brilliant as usual
What are you looking to see exactly?
@@BlackArmor718 I'd love to see how you built it and how it functions. The different uses for that would be very interesting to explore. A way to use it in space to restrain enemy ships would be one idea for example.
Awesome videos!! I been playing this game for years now and have almost 1.2k hours into it and I still learned a lot that i didnt even know was possible. Now with some of these tips especially the lighting ones and the catwalks i can go make my base look ten times better. Keep up the good work and hope to see another one come out.
lots of cool staff Thx
Fantastic, thanks,,,,, I was going to be playing Space Engineers but ive watched your videos, great work ;)
Your funky elevator reminds me of the game Ultimate Spin Doctor.
Great stuff!!!!!
Amazing!
That Mad Dog is awesome!! Clan for life!
Thanks for these
Deserved subscription. I am surprised.
imediately love the intro
4:41, Hooray for Heavy Industry premium DLC, am I right? :D
Thanks for this. Every day is a school day.
seeing you experiment reminds me of how amazing it was to play gmod. I built the same way to test and showcase something in the game and filled hundreds of saves.
Great video 👍
Will be using the rotor trick for sure. I’ve built a monorail and have been looking for a better turntable for a engine shed
I forgot to mention it would be good for a rail junction!
Nice Work man very clever indeed
What do you mean its not practical? Now i dont have to land every time i get to my mines! This man is a genius at space engineering. 16:00 plus, it transports power and cargo too!
BlackArmor: The SE Gold Standard
Thanks!
Dude your imagination is amazing!
So I'm just trying to learn the basics but now I'm trapped watching this awesome video!!!! Thanks :) LOL
The basics are great fun in themself, head over to Splitsie for more info on those. Head back to me when you want to get more challenging
That contraption be fly
Great videos
The rotor, trick with timer was amazing! Multi stop! Always wanted it! I’m working on a gravity feed weapon that drops rods from space and into the earth :p
The Rod From God
Thanks for the tips
That rotor magnet is supierior to landing gear for attaching things at a specific point at any speed. Set in the center of a cargo, and it will always be picked up centered, instead of trying to get it just right with the landing gear.
Good thinking
Needs a 'love' button.
Commenting is pretty much that
More, please more!
:)
I'ma just repeat myself from the first one of these videos.... This is some cool shit you've got going on.
I appreciate you SCP
18:40 this remembers me of my milling machines at work. they rotate between the drills and tools they use. you could use this in SE to rotate for tools too maybe drill, weld, grind and lift and just dock with the vehicle take a tool and when done put it back
19:18 you can also make using connectors a splitter for materials; you just need to revert the rotation once attached.
Idea! Ok so instead of a arm that comes out? For the reloading of those cool small missls of youres? Make a ship that focuses 9n rotating missle racks that rotate every time one is fired to reload it. Then maybe have a set of those racks at base where you can just land and swap racks then go back out! Makes me wanna play space engineers again! :D
thanks once again for this tips and tricks video, it is very usefull and help a lot to see what it is possible to do in this game;;; very clever tips ;;;;;;
No prob Gege
Very nice
you make really cool videos keep it up
Man I have 3k plus hours in this game and you just showed things 100x better than my best build lol
Glad to hear it man!
We build brick ships and this man's building zoids
Your videos are freaking awesome! 7:21, throw a projector underneath to fill it in...haven't tried it, but trying to think like you are teaching us! :)
great video ill subscribe!
Just started was making a drop ship couldnt figure out how to get it to hang from the hanger and detache in one action the same way every time. the rotor detach reallytach thing did the trick
I saw this went to subscribe and realised I'm subscribed
Excellent!
