I test drove the hybrid this week and agree with you about the so called safety features. I found myself checking the dash all the time to see what was beeping instead of watching the road. The huge screen is also very distracting.

On the speed alert, everyone 'spuriously' selects off... if you instead pick the top option it doesn't ping at you during "normal driving" as it is tied to the Smart Cruise Control.

It’s a shame Hyundai couldn’t continue the Kona N due to the European emissions regulations, a Kona N with this new facelift design would’ve been absolutely brilliant, unfortunately it’s the beginning of the end for car enthusiasts with all the sweet sound exhaust notes of cars going to turn into pure electric silence.

I'm not sure what you are referring to specifically but the Kona N-line is available in Europe as a hybrid

@@yann664 Kona N with the 2.0L turbo engine has been discontinued, same with the i30 N hatch
Only the i30 Sedan N (Elantra N) is available.
Due to strict vehicle regulations regarding emissions Hyundai is dropping the 2.0L engine with the loud exahust note and pops and bangs for a more emission friendly but larger displacement 2.5L turbo engine that is currently available in the Sonata N Line.
The Kona is now only available under the N Line guise with a 1.6 turbo or 2.0L hybrid engine.

Reckon the hybrid system using a dual clutch setup would be problematic out of warranty...

Glad you're not a solar or double glazing salesman . You'd fail miserably.
