- It was a bitter sweet day. I picked up a very nice truck but said goodbye to my dream truck. Why did I decide to do this?
2021 F450
2017 Ram 3500 Cummins - Auta a dopravní prostředky
sad to see the F450 go but excited to see how this truck turns out and make sure to still make videos with your F350 and F550 for us Ford guys!
Absolutely
I’ll only be watching the Ford Videos going forward! 🤣
Great looking truck and hope she serves you well..and as good as you maintain your fleet I know it will... so happy to see your business grow and evolve. Appreciate you sharing your day 😊👍😇
Enjoy sir ! And high out put!!!!! Outstanding!!
She’s a nice unit! The running boards are HUGE. Not big on the chrome grille but they do look good colour matched! One thing with those flares is if you take one off. It’s probably worth pulling them all off and cleaning behind it then smear grease all over the wheel arches before you put them back on!
Excited to see a little build on this truck and see your thoughts versus your Fords
Very nice! Enjoy your truck.
Have a nice day..
Marie from Denver Colorado USA
Good luck with your new ride, you have to what's right for you business.Being down in Florida for the winter [retired] and back in New England the rest of the year, can't believe the 450 came down to Florida probably to live a easy life.Ram's have a stout drivetrain, but body and interior? Guys up in my neck of the woods that work them hard and plow ,have a hard time finishing paying for them them before they start rotting out!Good luck my friend.
Met you just west of Chester Thursday early afternoon. I was 99% sure it was you, been waiting to see a video to confirm. Looking forward to seeing more in the future. Looking great.
Had a 2016 Limited Mega cab dually diesel with aisin and it was a great rig. Actually getting another. Nice truck!! Stay strong!
Congratulations to your new truck, it is amazing, have a great day my friend 😊👍🌹
Awesome truck!...that cargo mat I believe is the winter front cover for when the Temps drop below 0 degrees Celsius...also I always run the exhaust break helps keep the turbo veins clean 😁
Nice truck ! It will serve you very well! PD Diesel power gets 450-500K miles outta his 4 gens! Towing day in & out . The chrome will also be way more chip resistant in your harsh environment .
He gets double that
Nice truck! That is a cold weather grille cover under rear seat, part of the cold weather package, which also came with a engine block heater.
Hey bud,
Congratulations on your new truck.
Hopefully, this will bring great success.
Atta boy!! Just cant beat the factory exhaust brake on the Cummins... So nice for towing in the hills
Man. This video was fantastic. Keep doing what your doing!😀🇨🇦
Had* a 2017 myself. Optioned same way, w/o the Aisin. Glad you found one with it. Be mindful of the turbo actuator sticking and failing. Mine went at 120k. CCV filter is due right around the mileage you are at too, hopefully they did it
Nice truck.
I’m from pei down in Florida at the moment watching the video not missing the snow in the video lol. I’m a ford guy but you have to do what works and makes sense for you.
Cheers keep up the great content
Nice truck health to enjoy and many happy miles
Nice truck! I'd keep the factory size wheels/tires you have on there instead of going with 35's. It'll tow better, shift better and get better fuel mileage. I've got a 2014 3500 Ram Laramie Aisin long bed and like the way it tows. Enjoy!
Your going to miss that 8’ bed soon, if you don’t already
Looks very good and well taking care of...and I imagine you check it all around..if business wise works for you.then ....muy bueno!!enjoy the ride..
Looking forward hearing how you like it towing...LOL I like the chrome...it's a good looking truck...and if you take that rock deflector off...you might be happier without it...sounds like you made a good trade ..hope Bouer likes it ..
I loved my 16 Laramie you’ll love this one. Nice choice
Your F450 looked much nicer inside and outside. Sad to see it go! Best wishes!
That "mat" under the seat is the cold weather grill cover. its part of the "cold weather package.
Hey workplaytv a nother awesome videos on your channel u definitely my favorite CZcamsr dodge ram is my favorite truck to drive
Nice truck. Chrome can come and chrome can go. As long as the bones are good. Good choice.
Going to miss seeing that big blue Ford driving by on the highway lol I’ll have to really watch for you now
Congratulations on the new Ram Bro😍💯👌👍
Love the truck bro! I'm all in on the Rams. Only thing I'd consider changing is the huge chrome RAM on the tailgate.
I love Ford trucks but this Ram is exceptional. Time to see how they compare. Nice truck and good luck! PS: I’m from NE US. I’M ok with the grey skies and snow IF I have a big 4wd truck. 👍
I have a 22 f450, but also a 22 f350 CCLB I towed my excavator with it (20k plus trailer). Just balance the load correctly. It handles fine.
Hey looks good sir, that "what looks like a cargo mat" I think is the trucks brazier. It can do a quick cover up of the grill for you until you get a new one. Haha this one should still work great for what you are doing with it.
New adventure... in my opinion the white is the best look to have chrome
Good luck with it man
Definitely add the Banks intake horn. Huge performance improvement for the dollars.
Congrats, Nice Truck
Good choice congratulations. 👌👌
BDS makes a good leveling kit specifically for the 3500s with rear air suspension.
Very nice truck I love my 16 limited 3500! Thuren suspension for the win for me
Not crazy about the nostrils on those grills 🤣 I like the look of my 2014 4th gen, especially with the 285 milestar pat's on her. I'm all about chrome, in the face of the black wheel/color matching trends 🤷♂️ Be Safe and enjoy, brother.
Weather tek makes flooring system that will cover and protect carpet from moisture and wear.
Looks pretty nice....for a Dodge 😁 I still like these chrome touches, and it has just enough like my 21 F350 Platinum does (and your 450 did). Like you said, everybody got into that blackout look and its gotten old. Most of the blackout trucks I see any more aren't even done right, everything is matte black (no black chrome) and they look like cheap work trucks especially when they get dirty. Chrome looks good even dirty! 😎
A single rear wheel?! Dude! WTF?! arrrrgh
😂😝
Your 450 hates you now
That truck setup like uo had your 350 platinum would look really sweet
Nice truck! You may want to try the baja boss at tires from mickey thompson. I have a set on both my 22 ram 3500 lmited mega cab with ram box and my 19 f250 cc long bed they have been a great tire. Ive had falken wildpeaks, bfg at ko2 and toyos and coopers. The Baja boss tires are the best so far for everything including mud. Barely use 4wd especially with ford locking diff. Towing and driving they have held up great from northern wisconsin and upper peninsula winters to illinois indiana spring/ summers and hunting everywhere in the fall.
Rams don’t have rear dif locks. On fords it’s standard on Lariat and up
Nice truck! Cummins powerrrrrr
Well well well looks like you listened to me and went for a Ram after bashing Ram for years. Should have listened to me time ago.
Still love the fords
When ever you trade a car or truck in ! Get a $200 detail done! It will get you more money!!!!
Looking forward to the ford vs ram comparisons
Cp4 no good should got the newer model, but looking forward to see how you will review the RAM
My 2018 3500 long bed Hemi Lone Star model's name is BIG RED. And oh how I LOVE him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's BIG, and he's RED!
Awesome truck congrats
Send that snow over the border!! Specifically the Moncton area! 🤣
Well brother, NICE TRUCK! Would have ❤ to see you PU Bauer in it,and see his surprise! All the best, David
Nice truck, a work horse for sure... 🙂
Good choice. Best years for the 4th gens. Before Cummins switched to hydraulic lifters. Factory cp3. Even tho there converting 20 year model trucks to cp3. Tune able as well
Good looking unit. One word of caution from a previous RAM owner. I had issues with condensation and freezing on the factory RAM air suspension in the cold winter months. Not sure what your temps are up there, or if your 450 kit had any issues or not? Not sure if the aftermarket kits had that problem. I went through 2 factory compressors under warranty on my previous unit
I own the same truck but Mega cab W/ram boxes. I suggest going with the banks intake horn with grid heater delete. I had the grid hater bolt failure at 150k and had to do a full rebuild.
I suggest get the spacers for the factory rear air suspension if you level. I neglected to do that and added the adjustable sensor to increase the rear ride hight and ruined one of the factory bags costly mistake. Fixed then the compressor went out. I’ll be going with the airlift 7500Xl now.
Ok so there is spacers for that system?
Only if you want to increase the rear ride height and keep the air suspension in original parameters. When I leveled my truck, I felt the rear sat lower then the front.
@@johnnickles8230 just a normal lift spacer
Nice truck!
295/65/20 is a 35 but has a higher load index. It's the better tire. Enjoy the HO/Aisin. I enjoy mine.
Suck to see my favorite ford CZcamsr switching but I understand for business it’s essential to make the right changes for business. Will continue to support but now I gotta find a damn ford CZcamsr 😂😂
Hahaha whoops
“The cargo Matt” is for the grill
And that unbeatable exhaust break 👍💪🏻gotta love it ☝️
Get it wrapped!😀🇨🇦
4th gen Ram with Aisin is the best modern truck you can buy now
I don’t blame you for going fourth gen over fifth. I have had several of both and prefer the fourth. The hydraulic lifters are a big gripe for me. Why change it? Nice truck sir.
That’s your cold front under the rear seat. Can be a pain in the butt to put on. I’ve never used one on a Cummins though.
Ah ok. I’ll never use that!
The eco diesel was supposed to use it below -7°C but I have no idea about the Cummins. Heck they don’t seem to mind the cold anyways.
Identical set up to my 2017 3500 Longhorn, just mines a longhorn and you have a limited 😅
Also do not put a leveling kit on that truck, with it sitting as low as it does its cause of the factory air ride. My buddy did that and it screwed up everything wasn't able to put as much weight in the back for some reason and had all sorts of issues. Factory air ride is amazing as long as you dont screw with it. And if it does have that 3.42 rear end in it just keep it locked in 5th gear ha or it will constantly be shifting. Hated that rear end in my 2017. 3.73 was a completely diff beast and 4.10 is that much better. Hope u have good luck with it and hope it holds up well for ya
Same here. I ripped those stupid 3:42 gears out and replaced with 4:10....NIGHT AND DAY DIFFRRENCE!
Good choice brother. I'm with you. All it needs is some good AT tires.
Plan on “tinkering” with the emissions equipment
Make a video of installing the fuel cell.
nice truck
Good looking truck sir! I have a 17 ram 3500 dually in burgundy with same exact trim & options. I actually have an order in for a ‘23 F450 platinum. I haul real heavy and need a tighter turning radius, otherwise I’d stay where I’m at. I also have a ‘22 Ram 5500 Laramie. I’m interested to see how the F450 compares to it…
If you're looking for a tighter turning radius you'll be a little bit disappointed if you're comparing a CCLB in both trucks. The 2013-2018 Ram 3500 CCLB has a curb to curb turning diameter of 49.2 feet and the 2017+ F-450 has a curb to curb turning diameter of 50.4 feet. The wall to wall is slightly worse for the F-450 as well due to the longer nose.
I was really suprised by this as I thought the wide-track front axle on the F-450 was the end all be all of turning for pickup trucks.
The F-350 CCLB curb to curb turning diameter is 57.8 feet and the CCSB is 53 feet. The 4.5 gen Ram's are worse then the 4th gen at 53.7 feet for a CCLB.
I am also waiting for my 23 F450 Limited which was ordered on Oct 28th. I do not pull trailers but do like look of F450. My current truck is 2020 F350 DRW 6.7 Lariat. I am hoping to get the truck before Thanksgiving this year.
Good luck
Everything painted white would look good i just can’t do all that chrome otherwise a great looking truck
Under the rear seat on the drivers side that’s not a cargo cover that’s the cold weather grill cover
If you didn't like the "fit & finish" on the F450's window belt moldings, well hold on tight. All Ram 3/4ton and up are assembled in Mexico. GM big 6 suvs WERE assembled in Mexico, got so bad they moved plant to Texas. Our company 2019 6.4L hemi plow truck is already falling apart.
This truck is very quiet and well put together from what I can tell
ohhhh ya best choice ever
Now ya talking 👍👍💪🏻💪🏻
In my experience.....ALL newer trucks have their issues....regardless of Brand. But Ram has become my least favorite.... Cummins alone has it's quality control issues. And I own a 4th gen Cummins Ram 3500, a Ford F550, and a GMC 3500....not partial to any of them. They definitely don't build 'em like they use to. Best of luck with the "new" truck. Hope you got a good one.
Do you wire your slip tank to transfer to the truck tank or will you just be using the switch to turn on/off the pump for filling equipment?
Filling equipment
Ugh i wish you got the 5th gen to compare to that ford. There is a huge difference in power from my 17 to my 21. And the gear ratio is way better in my 21. My 17 had the 3.42 rear end and hated that for towing then went to that 3.73 and it was a huge difference in towing. Glad ya got a ram tho ha
Somebody correct me but I don’t think you can get the ram boxes with the factory fifth wheel gooseneck prep package. My neighbor has the ram boxes and seeing it in person it really narrows the bed space more than expected.
You can get aftermarket
Just be careful when trying to level a factory air RAM. The factory air sits 3/4 of an inch higher than the front and the airbags are designed to keep it that way from what I’m told. If you level it, make sure you don’t have too much of that Carolina lean because of the air suspension leveling links. They do have longer ones you can get (I believe from Thuren) if you want to raise that back up a bit.
I’m not sure it’s that complicated, I was just told to me mindful of the changes I made to a factory air truck. Good luck with the new to you RAM.
Yeah I believe there is a spacer you can get
Chrome gets you home, lol!!
Put some Chevy mirrors on that bad boy, you wont regret it.
it's your money and your business. If it was up to me, I'd trade the F450 in for another F350 Powerstoke, since they've treated you so well.
Check out Thuren Suspension
Jumped from the frying pan right into the fire. What a change...
Lol
You will get better fuel mileage with the ram and has better pulling power to start off
Nice truck how many miles has it done ?
60k
Why, the answer is simple - just because .
You traded your anti matter blue f450 for that ram? No way, you are out of your mind.
the guy that traded you came up sick
I see a Pothier Motors sticker.
Nice truck, you have to lose some weight under the hood though, it will run even better.
You can't go wrong dealing with Pothier Motors.
