Such a calming video compared to all the cruelty we see on tv. Those poor souls…thanks for your peace…
I am 74 and a quilter in Middle Tennessee. I use your videos to keep me company. I grew up in northern Indiana and 50 years ago I went on a day trip to Chicago. We had lunch in the famous Marshall Fields Dept Store dining room. For dessert we had fresh blueberries with sour cream and brown sugar on top. I have been eating them that way ever since. I used to take my kids to a blueberry picking farm in Ohio when we lived in Cleveland. I put up alot of fresh produce from different U-Pick farms for several years. Blueberries, sour cream and brown sugar, delicious.
Thank you
I have all three so I’m going to try this tonight! Would have never thought to use sour cream.
Great to read your comment Diane. I am 78 and for the first time I am going to can strawberry and blueberry preserves. Additionally, this winter I am going to piece my first quilt and then quilt it just like my grandmother did when I was growing up.
I chuckled so when I read your post, I do the same thing while sewing... But I am going to be canning some peaches here soon... after watching this video...
That sounds absolutely delicious! I am going to try that with sour cream!
You and Mr Brown are the sweetest couple ever! Your videos are the best! I have learned so much from you! You are so through and peaceful. Thank you sharing with us!
When my granny and I made preserves, she made me stir nonstop for 3 min during the rolling boil 🤣🤣! My arms about fell off and granny would just laugh but it sure was tasty 😋
Thank you Lori💜I'm a 42 year old mama of 3...I feel confident I can do this now💜Bless you and Mr. Brown💜🌄🇺🇸
I certainly second that we need Mr. Browns Scripture reading and Miss Lori‘s common sense - during this time . I do feel better when I see & hear from you both. Thank you so much. ❤️& prayers from Colorado.
I’ve got peaches and blueberries in the freezer. Now I have a great teacher to give me the kick I need to do something with them. Thanks Miss Lori💕
Hi, I'm spreading the Gospel around in much love ❤️
Have faith in JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOR for HE SAVES from hell❗️
*What is the Gospel?*
The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of GOD, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Romans 10:9

My mom also canned Boysenberry & Pomegranate and Apricot jam. We never bought jam at a store. Today, you have warmed my heart with your canning today.😊🦋
Appreciate you and your dear Mr. Brown. 🙏😄💗
We must be having some brain waves/vibing because today we made orange marmalade and canned a bunch up too!!! I don’t use the pectin, but I did LOVE THIS video!!! Great tutorial for the ones who lack the patience 💯😘💖✨Shabbat Shalom 🕊💖✨👑💛✨

Hi Miss Lori and Mr Dan ❤️🇺🇸🙏
So glad to watch this video. I am determined to can this summer. We just visited our Amish friends this morning and I asked them to help me do some canning. I am 67 years old and it has been years since I canned and I would just be more comfortable to do it with their help. Thanks so much and have a great weekend!
My son and I were watching this together and I had just finished telling him I won’t pressure can because I have tried before and never been successful. Then you started talking about not being afraid to try it because it’s so easy. Lol 😆. Good timing!! I always enjoy your videos…whether it’s something I’ll be brave enough to try or not 😁. I’m joining with you in praying. So many in need of the hand of our Lord ❤️
I'm hearing good 🥰Igetta kick out of the beginning of your video, When mr Brown comes up behind you dancing 😂😂🥰Kinda funny, Well I'm going to sit back and enjoy your video, I was thinking of you yesterday ☺️🧡💛💚💙💜
Love, love, LOVE blueberry and peach preserves....maybe even some of each! Peach and blueberry cobbler is a good thing, so I don't see why it wouldn't work in a biscuit. 😋

It's nice to meet you
Yum yum👍💕
If you need another way to use up some blueberries, my aunt used to make what she called a blueberry cobbler. She rolled out a dough/crust and and filled it with the berries in a loaf shape, then would wrap and store them in her freezer until she needed a dessert. When she was ready, she would put one in a loaf pan and thaw it in the refrigerator. Before baking, she would cover it in a sugar water (not completely dissolved) so there was a sauce. So, so good 😋
That’s a great idea ! Thanks
Thanks, need to get my fruit out of the freezer.Perfect time while we aren’t busy canning garden!
So yummy
I buy up frozen wild blueberries when prices reduced. Nothing wrong turning into something we can enjoy later. Everything has a second life if you take the time.
Water bath or steam bath easy and don't take expensive equipment.
Thanks for sharing.

You should try growing a dwarf peach tree in a container in your high tunnel or ...green house.
I've been doing my own thing ,with low sugar pectin, I don't like all that sugar, I'm using honey and a bit of sugar and splenda. We are both over 60 , we must consider our health.i love watching your videos , love you guys !!
I took four bags of blueberries out of my freezer and let them thaw while I was out at the store. Then I ended up not having enough time to can them that night so I put them in the crockpot on low with some water. When I got up the next morning, I got everything in order and canned them up. They were so soft, perfect jam and I ended up canning 21 pints 😊
Blueberries look so pretty. I love blueberries raw or cooked. Thanks Mrs. Lori.
Hi Mrs Lori, I really LOVE waching tou cook and can all of your fruit and vegetables. I just watched you canning your BLUEBERRY PERSERVES.THEY LOOK SO DELICIOUS. I WISH THAT I HAD ONE OF EACH. I AM NOT ABLE TO STAND VERY LONG ANY MORE, that really bothers me because I was always busy doing everything that I wanted. Including tuck pointing chemleys, and roofing my home. Why do people get old (LOL), and not be able to do the things that they love to do. I even wired my daughters friend house trailer for her telephone. I turned 78, Dec. 28th, and I sometimes feel useless for the things that I LOVED TO DO.
I LOVE YOU and MR. BROWN SO MUCH.
GOD BLESS BOTH OF YOU.
Take care
We just came out of a bountiful blueberry season. I watched your video and made my first preserves. Soooooo good
You took the words right out of my mouth I was thinking to myself how pretty those jars Preserve look then you said how the pretty they were I can love some preserves like that thank you for sharing and blessings
Oh my gosh you said something about fried pies. We call them apple jacks here and I can imagine how good one would be with your peach filling. Grandma made them with sun dried apples. So good. Thank you for your videos.
I just made some blueberry filling with frozen blueberries. cant wait til all my bushes start producing more than handfuls.
I'm so thankful you've done these videos!
You are teaching us cause we have No one else to!
Yummmm
Ms. Lori im back again 2023 these recipes came out delicious and I m making some good ones for me this year. God blessing. Delicious
Wonderful!
Thank you so very very much for explaining add more pectin. For Xmas one year I made a bunch of different jams and NONE got thick. I just named the jars from Jam to sauce add 1 box of cream cheese . Serve as a dip, lol
It worked wonders, new name. I take my used lids pit a X on them. I clean jars, dry then put reused lids with a ring for storage. Keeps the dust etc out of jars. Of course I wash again b4 using. Watching this jam video from Beautiful Southern Iowa.
Miss Lori that is how I saw blueberry & blackberry Jam being made into jam Grandma said it would JAMMEN it on up then for the best little tongues to eat then !!! I was little so that is what I remember !!!
We make peach jam from our heirloom peach tree and we use raw turbinado cane sugar, the brand is (sugar in the raw). So good. This sugar smells like brown sugar.
Hello from Chatham Ontario Canada 🇨🇦… I have never canned before but after watching your video last night I decided to go blueberry picking this morning and made blueberry preserves this afternoon. Thank you so much for inspiring those of us that have never canned before to give it a try! Sending love to you and your hubby.
Thanks for sharing the canning of fruit. I didn’t realize it could be so easy. Now, thanks to you, I’m brave enough to try it. Thank you😃😃
Love preserving
“Used” (and slightly rusted) can be lightly sanded and spray painted for Christmas ornaments. Obviously, with a bit more decoration.
Yummy.yummy❤
I just canned this had 15 jars. I measured to 8 cups after crushing and added 3 jalapeños to batch. Soooo good. 🙏
I just love your and u and your husband amazing video s
Thank you so much!!
Oh..I've been craving blueberry s. Beautiful
Thank you Miss Lori.🙂
It made me laugh out load when you were talking about making room in the freezer. I think many of us have that challenge.😄
The first thing I ever canned was apple jelly and that was almost a half century ago. There certainly is something about make jam (bread too) that warms the heart and spirit.
Some years back, someone suggested adding grated ginger to peach or apricot jam. Now I must get ginger when I get peaches or apricots. 😋
Blessings! 💜
Just found your channel tonight. I got a canner this year and from what I’ve already seen just by watching your video’s , it’ll make it less intimidating to me. Thank you.
I really enjoy your videos you and Mr. BROWN SEEM TO BE GOOD CHRISTIAN PEOPLE
That little bit of Cinnamon in the Peach Preserves will put those fry pies over the top!! Great video!!
I love watching you can. I'm in Michigan and our growing season is coming soon and I can't wait to start canning preserves.
Tell Mr. Brown hello!!!
Thank you Mrs. Laurie ❤👍🙏🏻✌️
Really enjoyed the fruit preserves demonstrations today. You always make everything look so easy, which gives us all the courage to try the recipes. We love you and Mr Brown so much and thank you for your love and prayers. Still looking for that special day we can all get together and have a whopping party.
I still think I know you! I’m from Jonesboro, not too far from Newport and went to school at Walnut Ridge…I guess we will figure it out when we all get to heaven! Great video!
You remind me of My Cousin Cindy, in many ways. Thank you for sharing.
Praying that you and your family all stay safe tonight. The storms look really bad! Praying for all of Arkansas!
Hi Mrs.Lori , I am so very happy to see you cooking up or canning up this or that , I have received some truly wonderful information and fabulous recipes. Your farm is wonderful and I enjoy dropping by for a visit.. God bless .. Amen
Wonderful!
I can’t stop my mouth from watering! I’m imagining how good that preserve taste! I’m going to scout out good blueberries and give this a try! Thanks for sharing! 💕
Miss Lori I have one of those antique jar lid lifters too. Amazon sells new ones that look like the old vintage ones. If they search Amazon use "Mason jar opener no lid dents or damage multi-purpose easy twist manual handheld top remover utensil made" . I had to watch this video. I've only used pectin twice and both times it came out like rubber cement. After the second time I gave up and learned the french method of reducing it down for thickness. There's a temperature 220 degrees if you can hit that temperature it guarantees your jams/preserves will set up. No pectin or Surjell needed to make jams.
I keep watching your great videos , we got a deal on seconds peaches it so hot here . So two batches I previously made one reg. one with cinnamon. Today I finally found Red Hots fits the temp . in the kitchen and out side have many more to do. Thank you have a blessed day.
My Dad walked the woods looking for blue berries, they were hard to fine, but not black berries. Mom made blueberry and blackberry jam. They were so good. I really love anything made with peaches. O yes those peaches are going to be so good. God bless.
Hurray! Another canning video. Thanks so much sweet lady!
Ms. Lori, I just love your channel. You and Mr. Brown are such a blessing! My grandmother tried many years ago to teach me how to water bath and pressure can, and I was too young and stubborn to learn. How I wish I had that time back with my beloved grandmother! It's only been within the last year or so that I have started prepping, and there's only so much I can do because I'm not in my own living space. That being said, I do have a little room to put some things by, and this video just hits the spot for me, as I know very little about canning. Your instructions are so easy to follow, and I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you and Mr. Brown sharing with us, how to do things like this. I don't have a garden, but my plan is to get some frozen blueberries, blackberries, and hopefully fresh peaches, and will get started on putting up some preserves. So far, the fruit I've been able to put up in my prepper pantry is canned fruit. These preserves will be a wonderful addition to my fruit section. Thank you again!!!
Thats wonderful! do what ever you can do, every bit helps
I made your blueberry preserves today..had small jar that I put in the fridge instead of processing it…OMG it is soooooo good!!!!
Thank you for sharing the recipe 😊
I love your videos. I’ve recently started learning to can.
I wish I would have had more interest and learned this skill from my mother when she was living. With that said, you have helped me so much in teaching your skill. Thank you 🥰
I'm so used to putting wax on the top before putting the lids on so I was surprised that we no longer have to do that🙂 looks delicious 💕💕
What a wonderful gift!!! You take one blueberry and one peach and ANYBODY would love to receive such a beautiful and tasty present!!!
God bless...
I wonder if I can can frozen blueberries ? Your’s looks so good!
Yes
My grandmother use to pick currents from the property next to hers and she’d make jelly out of them. As kids we would pick and eat them and they were soooo sour, but that didn’t stop us. She would also pick crabapples from that property and make jelly from them and that was really good.
I can be having a stressful day and turn on your videos and completely just calm right down. Your prayers are working and very appreciative of you not just helping us fill our family tables with yummy things but filling our hearts with the love of our Lord as well. You and Mr Brown do such a fantastic job. Thank you both.
Xoxoxo
Was making peach habanero jam right along with you. Happy canning everyone😊

I used to love to make a peach conserve. Mmm, so good.
Peaches are my favorite yum
My mother always made tomato preserves that were delicious. Most of the time she used yellow tomatoes and brown sugar. Please check your recipe books for a recipe and show us how to make delicious tomato preserves.
God bless all here.
Oh Ms. Lori, you're speaking my language!! 😊 I LOVE blueberry and peach to death. I just found your channel not so long ago. I love your videos. God bless y'all.

Looks yummy Ms. Lori. I just got out of the hospital. Gallbladder infection/stones so-surgery. So I appreciate those prayers! I don’t can. You know. But boy that makes me want to try!
Love The Brown’s & Whippoorwill Holler! Xxoo
Prayers for healing, xoxoxo
@@WhippoorwillHoller thank you ever so much! ♥️
Love Blueberries, ❤️
I use your recipe to add extra pectin and boil for 2 to 3 minutes after adding sugar and have never had anything fail to set up since! Thank you!
Wonderful!
Mix preserves in with your oatmeal, yummy
When reusing the lids use another beat up lid over the top of whatever you're opening to keep the opener off of the new lid. This keeps it from bending the lid as it it is removed.
Thank you for such wonderful recipes and your own good experience !
I just rewatched your video for the 6th time and you answered my question. I also need to use brown Truvia instead of regular brown sugar.
Good morning x God bless 🌿 love from England 🏴 have you tried Rhubarb. Its a good early summer, quick to cook sweet sour option. Jellies crumbles pies, with ginger it's a perfect jam. Love your videos. Blueberries are a real favourite, here. Thank you so much for your time and effort and kindness ❤
Yum! Looks wonderful. 11 jars will last a long time, maybe. Lol. Only need 5 cups of peaches when they are in season! Thank you for telling me i can use frozen fruits, too. Great recipes!! Thank you.
I added cinnamon to my blueberry jam and was told it tasted like blueberry pie 🥧
Going to can white peaches as they are my favorite 😋
Thanks for sharing your time and showing us the “how to”
It’s greatly appreciated ☺️
Mmmmm
Thank you so much Mrs. Lori. I look forward to the days I can can / perserve all my meals. You are a Blessing
I think I could taste and smell this right thru through the tv! And the little bit of cinnamon was perfect 😍
Canning is something I never learned to do. Mother scared me out of it.
She canned gorgeous whole fruits, jams, preserves and jellies. However, she wouldn't eat home-canned foods done by other people because of the deadly food poisoning risks.
My favorites were her gourmet jellies: Champagne, Port wine, sherry and cranberry. All knockouts on hot, buttered yeast rolls. Red currant is a delicious alternative to cranberry.
Wonderful instructions Miss Lorie! Have a blessed Sunday.
Looks so good. Thank you. I leave the jam sit just 5 min after turning stove off. The foam dissappear after 5 min. Wanted to share
Hey there Ms Lori and Mr Brown. I bet that brown sugar will make it so much better.
