    About Jeannie Gagné:
    Jeannie is a world-class vocalist who has been teaching vocal lessons and performing for more than three decades. She has sung with Philip Glass, Cher, toured with reggae legend Frankie Paul, and opened for Barenaked Ladies. She has sung on movie soundtracks and on dozens of recordings, been featured on television and radio, and traveled worldwide to teach and perform. On CZcams she's known as The Vocal Genie. Her three solo albums highlight her four-octave range and unique vocal style. Jeannie also co-founded Berklee College of Music’s Performance Wellness Institute, where she is a professor on the voice faculty.     The breathing in the middle explanation just saved me! I swear these videos from Berklee with her are just pure gold. These things are not hard to explain or hard to understand as a lot of teachers make it look. They're very simple and Jeannie nailed it! If you focus just on the belly than you won't even fill up your lungs because your ribs are not even getting out of the way to let air in, you just put more pressure on your body.

    good stuff. I know its mostly meant for singing, but this could help with someones mental issues lol.
    For someone like me whos super self concious of when my voice has no strength behind (cracking or just tense* sounding). Because the way your voice is presented is extremely important.

    Having a video of proper breathing is very helpful, thank you! Very similar to Claude Gordon's breathing approach for trumpeters (even the outstretched 'wings') so this is translates really well.

    I guess the right breathe support is when u breathe n ur lungs n ribs stretch out not the belly goin big! Cz i noticed alot of singers performing mostly i see their lungs n ribs or maybe chest moving not their belly.
