    These OEM badges are great. For the ACCORD emblem, the installation instruction says you first remove the position film and the new ACCORD emblem from the guide form, and place the guide form over the existing emblem so that you can mark the position with masking tape around the the form. This way, you won't have to cut the guide form as you did in the video. Anyways, thanks for your channel. It's informative and inspirational!
    For hybrid owners, you can re-use the blue/black backplate for the black H emblem to keep your hybrid identity. After prying the whole H emblem off, I removed the chrome H to save the backplate and attached the new black H to the backplate, then I attached the whole thing with pieces of 3M tape. It looks pretty cool.

    Also the button covers you showed in a previous video for the gear shifter buttons , they’re no longer available. Do you have another link? Thanks!

      @HondaJon  Před 3 lety +1

      I’m good. Thanks. Hope you are too. The software should be updated to the lastesy version. If you go into the infotainment screen it should have a spot that says updates. Check and see if there is one available. You can only do it when Honda pushes it through.
      For the button covers just search up 2018 accord gear stickers. You’ll see a lot of sellers. Hope that helps.

    YO! I had a question for ya. I have a 2019 Touring 2.0T, and this is just something I've noticed with ownership, but have you noticed the paint on these Honda accords, specifically the 10th gen, chips easily? I have 2 small rock chips, and I ended up getting a paint pen to correct them, just wild how easy the cars paint chips.

    • @HondaJon

      @templarpsi Před 3 lety +1

      @@its_Obsidian Agreed, I thought about getting the hood repainted, but I ended up getting a paint pen, and fixing the two chips I had, I'd invest into one of those tbh. At some point if I keep getting them a lot I'll eventually have it repainted. I'm looking into getting a hood clear wrap for the car, down in Arizona we have some pretty good shops that give some good deals on them. Honestly I should of gotten a clear bra wrap in the entire front end of the car only, seeing that the other back half doesn't need it because I figured if I hit something big in the front and it hits parts of my back of the car (middle to the back) I'm screwed anyway.

    For the rear emblem you remove the whole panel and take the retainers off the pins on the back side and the emblem comes off without breaking the pins. The new emblem comes with new retainers for this reason.

    • @HondaJon
      @HondaJon  Před 2 lety +1

Unless you removed the badging again to repaint the entire emblem area. There are some great Aerosol paints and clearcoats that will turn out pro. You definitely seem to have the skill set handle it. No just by adding mods to it. It is more than capable of handling how are you drive. It’s a very still engine and CVT.
