A presentation to honor Benji Schwimmer followed by a speech addressing his retirement from routine divisions at The Open Swing Dance Championships 2018.
This is a very nice tribute, beautifully received. I first saw Benji dance on that unnamed TV show. It's great that he and so many others got a chance to show a wide audience how talented (and how well-trained) they are. I'm glad that Benji thanked Nicole Clonch/Ramires specifically. I knew the first time I saw her dance that she was/is extraordinary. I know Benji will continue to contribute to the world of swing dance. I wish him the best of luck.
Every time I hear him speak I am in awe of how well spoken, composed, sincere, humble and grateful he is. His sense of humor is so close to mine. His witty remarks are giving me life. Honestly, what a man. Amazing dancer, great choreographer and just a good person. Benji- I know this is much belated but thank you for all the joy you gave, thank you for showing us you passion and your talent. I wish you nothing but happiness. You trully deserve it.
I have never seen this man dance - this vid just came across my feed, and oh man, am I blessed to have seen this. Art (music, dance, painting, writing, so on) is God’s way of connecting strangers, molding hearts and healing souls. Congratulations and God’s blessings for the road ahead🙏🏻❤️🕺🏻
Thanks for sharing. Got to love a family man! Got to love those who don’t step on others to get to the top but who reach out and bring their partners and competitors along with them. It makes for a better ride and it makes better humans of us all. I noticed that no one “special” was mentioned. Hope that dream comes true! I've watched Benji for more than 20 years and have love his energy, passion, dedication, joy and unparalleled gift for dance.
