    You really are skillfull when it comes to repairing these bikes. Combining parts to something that works thats great.
    I was wondering i have seen a few people having problems replacing the back casette beceause of the cable not having a disconnect. I was wondering why no one just cut the cable in halve and make a connector in between? And would you know if it would fit a deore m6100 12speed?

    Hi mate , love the videos very informative. Sorry if its a silly question but does it matter what gear your in if you just using the motor? I ask because you have said on numerous times the motor has struggled even in high or low gear?

    hey, i have a question, how did you manage to burn the motor? i've been seing a lot of people burning the 350w motor on the LO26, but not many burning the 500w motor. did you force it uphill or overheated it or did it just die on its own without you stressing it too much. i have the 500w motor and i didn't have any issues with it overheating, even using it on cruise mode

    • @tristatetech
      @tristatetech  Před 2 lety +1

      I burnt it out going up a steep hill. I believe the 500W motor is much better. There are many people who have reported the 350W motor burning out.

    Hi, i wondered how you got on fitting the smaller controller for the 1000w motor, did it fit in the frame okay? If so I wondered if you would kindly give details of the model number of the controller and the seller who you bought it from? As an after thought does the controller have the loop wire to reduce the power to 250w like the large controller which came with the 1000w kit? As I wish to run at the reduced 250w rate!
    I'd very much appreciate your help with my enquiry as I'm following your conversion since my motor failed on my samebike LO26.
    Regards

      @tristatetech  Před 3 lety +1

      Didn't use the original controller, just used the much larger new one.

    • @staffiesaregreat
      @staffiesaregreat Před 3 lety +1

      @@tristatetech ok, I take it you couldn't find a small controller with the same functions as the original large one then.
      I know you said in your video you'd like to obtain a controller that would fit in the frame as the original did.
      I think I'll have to make a vented aluminium box to house the large controller that can fit to the rear rack I've fitted. (I'm concerned about overheating using the bag that comes with the conversion kit)

      @musmanov4642 Před 3 lety

      why you want 1000w motor and reduce to 250w? isnt it weird? just get a 250w straight away or original 350

    • @staffiesaregreat
      @staffiesaregreat Před 3 lety

      @@musmanov4642 hi, the reason behind it is that the physical size,dimension of the 1000w hub motor is so much larger than the 250w and hopefully I get a little more torque from that, leverage!
      ( in the video mark said that the power delivery of this hub was so much better than the original 350w so it's got to be better than a standard 250w ) admittedly power output is the same when set to 250w!
      I'm also intending wiring it up in such a way that through an ignition switch, feed to a switch on the handlebars, then at the flick of a switch I can change up to 1000w when off road if I wish.
