If you use the GTi block and make the belt idler pulley work like I did you get the bonus of oil jets under the pistons
I'm looking at doing this on my 6n is it the 6n2 GTi engine block. How did you get the idlerr to work

Hi, nice video and i'm happy to see some afh stuff :-) I bought an afh engine too and going to built up with AEE Block and G60 supercharger.
Do you have experience with tsi pistons? I'm thinking about to use the pistons from CAVE, because they have 1mm less distance between pin and top of the piston, compared to AEE pistons.

It's not a hybrid,the hybrid uses the avy bottom end.Its just a stroked AFH..

Hi mate, just wondering what the benefit of this is over a stock AVY engine?
Looking at ideas for a mk1 golf I've started on!
You can use either the afh block with avy internals like in the video or an avy black and internals, the benefit of that is you get the oil squirters in the avy block that the afh doesn't have, but the avy block requires slight modification to a pulley.
The main difference for the hybrid is using the afh head, its flows much better than the avy head as standard and is alot more tuneable..
I've seen a few people saying with a standard afh head and avy internals they are making better hp than a standard avy (6n2 gti) just due to the better flowing head.

The customer is still on with installing it into his car. I have been to busy to assist. An due to Covid an his work it’s taken alittle longer. I will keep every one posted once it’s running.
